We finally got in and they gave us a good table. The waitress wasn't the best but nice. She was a bit disorganized and kinda messed up our drink order. Oh well. She got us some rolls and all was good. She took our order and a small time later we received most of our order and more rolls. We finally got the rest of our food but by then the kids were done. I went to Cheddars for lunch on July 25th, I ordered red beans and rice with chicken and sausage (Lunch special) I thought it came with a salad (may be not) it was absolutely terrible, I think I took one spoonful, not hot and barely warm, my husband had a sandwich with fries (of course not hot). We just took it home with us and didn't entertain a complaint. Then I returned with family on my birthday, August 13th, we ordered the cheese ball appetizers which were hot and swimming in grease and for my entry I ordered green beans, chicken fried steak and baked potato. I returned the over cooked and oily green beans, the steak was greasy and the baked potato didn't melt the cheese or the butter. I did complain to the waitress but she said "Oh I'm sorry." (she was in training). My son ordered a 14oz Ribeye steak, which was loaded with (almost half) fat. My grandson ordered the pasta which was dry with limited sauce. Had not been to this location in a while due to long wait times for a table but we went by on this Sunday early. Let me tell you, it was all that! Our server could not have been nicer(sorry but I did not get her name). Very attentive, made great suggestions. But let me tell you, the food was great at a very reasonable price! I learned that the cook's name that day was Mario and he put his foot in my dish! Steak was made to order, seasoned just right and was just about the most tender cut of sirloin I had ever had. Lately ATL restaurants have been under scrutiny. I'm thinking lunch on a Monday; what could go wrong?? Well, I just left this location due to tone of voice w some attitudes. I was seated at a dirty table. I had to flick rice off of the seat before sitting down: ok no biggie. But when I picked up the menu to see what to have, there is some type of sticky substance. I politely stood and waited for someone to notice me. When asked by the bartender after she finished her conversation w one lady a bar, if I had a problem, I advised I was hoping someone can wipe the table. There is always a wait here which is a good thing and a bad thing, just be prepared. The bar area is first come, first serve so that's where I try to sit. I usually get the New Orleans pasta but i wanted to be different and i ordered the ribeye steak. I was a little disappointed because they were out of baked potatoes and mashed potatoes which is what goes with a good steak but I got rice and was content with that. The steak itself was done to my liking, rare!!! There wasn't a lot of flavor, actually it was pretty bland tasting but I added salt and that helped. My date ordered the New Orleans pasta which he enjoyed! The service is always pretty good, like i stated, it's always busy so if you aren't patient and understanding, you might get frustrated. We decided that when the server comes, we would go ahead and put in our food order to speed up the process. Food: The food typically arrives about an hour to 1 1/2 hrs later. But by that time we are ready to take our food to-go. If you are starving and on the brink of death, I suggest ordering an appetizer (the spinach dip is really good here) to hold you over until the food comes out. Today marked the end of an era. I officially will not return to Cheddar's. My last 2-3 experiences have been almost terrible. From the setup to service to food. Everything was bad. Today was my attempt to give Cheddar's one more try. I'm done. Arrived. There was a wait which is always expected. Name was called. We had to wait at the hostess desk while they scrambled to get things together. I was lost because shouldn't this already be thought out before names are called?!? We were walked back to the table and there was still confusion on where we would sit because the tables were not cleaned off, someone was still sweeping the area. The lady finished "cleaning" the area but the table was still dirty. We had to wait for her to go get a cloth to wipe down the table and seat. But if you're cleaning the area... shouldn't you carry a cloth with you. Again ... I'm lost as to why this wasn't done before calling us to be seated. It continued to go downhill. This was my first time visiting this restaurant and I came with my mom and grandma. The server started out doing great initially and then her service went downhill. I called inside to let the hostess know I was outside at the number spot and watched the hostess walk several orders out to cars and I had been there and extra 25 minutes waiting on my food. Do not come here especially with a large party. Initially we were told there was a 3 hour wait. We waited 1.5 hours. The restaurant was not even extremely busy. After being seated, the waiter was very courteous and pleasant. We ordered drinks and appetizers. The waitress brought out our appetizers. She forgot a shot that we never received that was supposed to be brought with the Maui Margarita. We had to ask for saucers to eat our appetizers on. They did not have enough saucers. Therefore, we were brought soup bowls for saucers. I placed my croissant in my soup bowl and cut it with a knife. I noticed my knife left residue behind. I showed my waitress my silverware and the residue on my bread. She apologized and took my plate and bread. She waitress did not bring me any new bread nor did the restaurant offer to comp anything. The waitress brought us plastic silverware. When the waitress brought my soup, the spoon was dirty. I requested to see the manager. Christian was the manager who came to my table. He did agreed my spoon was dirty. The salmon was dry. There was bbq smudges on my aunt's chicken alfredo plate. The manager never returned to the table and did not explain what he would do. My mom's plate chicken tenders were smaller than the children's $4.99 chicken tender plate. They were fried hard. I had the monte Cristo. The presentation was great but it tasted like the grease they were fried in was burned. When the bill came to the table it was $144.99. 3 hours of bad service. I try to ensure that I am fair. When I have great service, I write a review. Many times, if my experience is middle of the road, I assume it was simply an "off" night and move on. I am writing to state that our service at your location was by far the worst dining experience in our 20 year patronage history of Cheddars. We weren't addressed for over 20 minutes when seated, we received no rolls, drinks weren't delivered correctly, the food took another 40 minutes to come and it arrived cold and flavorless. We attempted to take our concerns to the manager to no avail as he appeared indifferent. We respectfully voiced our displeasure with the server and she stared at us blankly without making any changes. We even asked her to adjust the bill for items we didn't get and received the same vacant look. Towards the end, she offered a flat apology and bill adjustment but at that point, we were tired, hungry and wanted to leave. There is so much more I can say but I digress. Additionally, we overheard the complaints of other diners. The service at this location needs to be thoroughly addressed. The restroom was unsanitary and disastrous which was emblematic of our entire experience. We will never return. read more

Well tge mac and cheese was underwhelming it taste just like the boxed stovetop variety. Seasoned rice was ok and the fingers weren't fresh because they weren't hot. But the sweet tea was good.
