The food was on point as usual, but the service was the absolute best we've ever experienced at CB. And it is all because of the service provided by Quinton. The baked potatoe was not loaded and it could fit in my hand. The red beans and rice was two big scoops. My fish was prepared perfectly, and I received a half cup of rice with that. My husband and I went here for the first time for a late lunch. It was fairly empty because of the weather. Our waiter was pleasant and our food came fairly quickly. The food was good, but I found my Salmon to not be the best. It was edible but I would have liked it to have been like a regular piece of Salmon that you get at a restaurant. We drive from Atlanta to cheddars every so often so to get there and have to wait a ridiculous amount of time is unacceptable. We reserved ahead of time, seated within 10 minutes .. then the rest was down hill. I was hesitant to go here because the not so great reviews but, I went anyway. It was Father's Day, so there was not one parking place. They were packed.. they hostess's were very friendly. They said it'll be a 40 minute wait it was like 10 minutes., there was two of us. We got sat in a decent amount of time. It looked like not. One table is empty. They were super busy.. our waitress greeted us and got our drinks within 10 minutes. It was fine because they were so busy. She always kept our drinks refilled and would check on us Often. The food did take a little bit long to get out to us, but it was piping hot and it was OK because she was running ragged. She brought out some croissants drizzled with honey butter on top, . They were so good. I forgot to take a picture. I just wanted to eat them lol but there are many pictures on here of them.. I ordered the Monte Cristo and a side of broccoli casserole. The Montecristo was perfect. And the broccoli casserole was absolutely delicious , it came out hot. It was just like I expected.. my husband ordered the meatloaf and the broccoli casserole and a loaded baked potato. He said everything was delicious except he did find a little bit of grissel in his meatloaf towards the end of his meal. Maybe they had their best wait staff today because we had zero problems. Got seated keep in mind they close at 10:00pm, sat there another 10mins for waiter, tried ordering from thing on table it was only available to use once waiter put her code in. So it's now 9:34, waiter comes over take appetizer orders and drinks no food order yet... finally we got drink and appetizers come cold. This restaurant is one of the worst I've ever ate at first of all we had to wait an hour and a half for the food to come, and when it did come, everything was super overdone. The shrimp was a size of your nail and real chewy right now, and the salmon was so dry. The other members of the group theirs was just as worse. The salad was probably the best thing they had. It took over 30 minutes to get a drink once seated. Cici was our server & needs to find another profession. We called the manager & she didn't seem phased by the dissatisfaction of our experience. First time at this location my husband and i wanted to try the ribs, we were seated and 20 minutes went by but server kept walking by, i finally stopped him to ask if we could order drinks and he was very rude, and said he would come back but never did so we waited a while longer but never saw anyone, It wasn't busy. Next time i ordered a monte crisco which was good but restaurant was not clean and never got refills or saw our waitress again after getting food. Last time was with a relative that wanted to go, this time staff was nice but food was cold and old. They seemed short staffed as a young man seated us and told us he was not a server and one would be around. Server,maybe bartender,took our drink order and brought drinks and warm pastry. We ordered cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. That was the last we ever heard or saw anyone. We sat for 40 minutes until our patience expired and we got up and left. I was very disappointed with my food. I ordered the Beer battered fish and shrimp with green beans and loaded baked potato. I ended up only eating the shrimp and baked potato. That part was good. Very disappointed...again. I reviewed this restaurant in September of '23. I gave it a 1 then, and today, it is still a 1. Nothing has apparently changed. At least now the inspection was at eye level...Still a 'B' though. now on with the review... Seating in the extra-long booths are great for large parties, but when you sit so low that the tabletop is coming across the upper part of my chest, (I am 5'7") I felt like I was a child sitting at the adult table...not a nice feeling for a grown man to have. Our server, Nyla, Nya...whatever her name was, appeared that she wanted to be anywhere but at this table at this moment. She got our drink orders, and several minutes later, they were brought to the table. I absolutely love Diet Dr. Pepper with virtually no carbonation. She returned after a few minutes and I informed her that the drink was flat. No apology was offered and I spent the next 10+ minutes waiting for a replacement drink which was a half-sweet half unsweet tea, without the lemon I asked for... During the wait, she came back to the table and I asked about my replacement drink and was told that they were making it. The restaurant actually ran out of tea... this should have been my sign. It was silly of me to hope... We ordered an appetizer, the cheese curds. while pretty tasty, it was very greasy. later dinner finally arrived. My brother and niece ordered the Cajun Pasta and as flavorful as their dishes were, my dish, the Chicken Alfredo with Broccoli was flavorless. The Alfredo sauce lacked seasoning, was so thin, I could almost see through it. If I did not know better, the pasta and broccoli must have had so much water in it from the preparation, the sauce was severely diluted and therefore, the taste. It could have been saved if the dish was piping hot...it was not. The server got a little more animated once we placed the to go order (which I was told later by the recipient was good) and we got our check. but there was no device to close the check at the table. The server had to get a device from another table, and have it programmed so it could process our check. The server should consider herself lucky she received any gratuity (10%) for her minimal performance (I must have been feeling a bit generous). I believe it is extremely rude of any restaurant to pre-print on the check suggested tip amounts with the lowest one starting at 18%. If you want 18% from me, you'll have to do much more than show up or do the minimum. read more

We've been working in Albany for a few days and love cheddars menu. The service has gotten much better since we were last there. We sat in the middle and watched the host actually interact with people and our server Emory was PHENOMENAL. BUT as we were leaving we noticed a young man walking around playing in his hair. Then he sat at a big table in the corner and there was a stack of napkins at the table he sat at. I assume he was doing silverware. We almost got grossed out because he was pulling and playing in his hair and started scratching his head. This is a hygiene issue. Brittany brought two complimentary Croissants, but they were covered in honey butter. They would have been better in our opinion without the honey butter. Wifey and I split the MonteCristo. It was good except it was covered in Powdered Sugar. Why you gotta put sugar on everything? Cut back on the sugar or offer it on the side would be my suggestion. We didn't love how the hostess seated us and when we asked to sit at an already clean table behind ours she said "no you have to sit here". So while we waited to have our table bussed, she laid down the menus in the four spots on top of a wet and dirty table. I asked her why not wait until the table is cleaned and she said I'm working on having it cleaned, ok noted but why place the menus down on wetness and dirt in the meantime? The restaurant itself needs more attention in the cleanliness department bathrooms included. And there were too many people at the hostess station so much so that we had to say excuse us to get fully into the restaurant to get to our table. Also the menu says burgers are cooked medium well, yet mine came out cremated initially, I mean it was an inedible hockey puck. My server understood the assignment and got them to remake it properly. No customer service at all No sense of urgency And an IDGAF attitude The restaurant was extremely dirty, Like I swear I wanted to get up and leave. Food all over the floor like they had been feeding animals. Our booth was so damn nasty we had to be seated somewhere else. They were out of multiple food items. Which hey it happens, but how about let guest know this before hand so A. They can decide if they still want to eat there or not and B.
