The Little Rock location is much improved from a couple of years ago. Was greeted at the door and seated in no time at all. The waiter was great. The food all came out hot and was great. The waiter came back from time to time asking everything was alright. He came back with more drinks with out being asked . We have been back three time's in the last 6 weeks and have really enjoyed everything. Will be going back again soon. The biggest thing are food was hot and good. They get 5 stars as they are very much improved. Keep up the GREAT Service. read more

This Is probably the worst steak I've ever had. 12oz fat! 2oz meat. This was medium well it was all fat. My fiancés wasn't any better. He went and bought beefaroni in a can instead of eating this food. Just wow. We are from out of town, and I've always wanted to try this place. I'll never make that mistake again!! The food was horrible and cold. Waste of money read more

Moved to LR a year ago and only recently tried Cheddars. Since that date, I've been here three additional times. I enjoy the menu variety and the meal choices. Quality of meals was surprisingly very good! Nice portions. Service was fine. My wife really enjoys the Grilled Whitefish, and again, she needed a To-Go box as the portions were generous. I enjoy the chicken and shrimp, with a nice choice of sides. I've also tried the varied chicken salads, always good! We treat ourselves to the warm croissants for appetizers...yum! Lastly, Cheddars was open on Christmas Eve and was a great place to take our son who flew into town from college. Thank you to the Cheddar employees for serving on Christmas Eve, we appreciate you! Obviously Cheddars fans now! Lou read more

The food wasn't good at all I would say more on the fast food side then a restaurant. The food was cold by the time I got home and just to let you know pasta is premade because when I asked about having some items removed out of my pasta they told me it was premade this morning how are you a restaurant and don't cook your food fresh the only good thing at this place is the croissant rolls that's it go somewhere else for food! Will not return oh yea and the people that answer the phone are rude! read more

We had a large part of 11 for lunch on a Sunday right about the time church services get out. We assumed it would be a wait. We were pleasantly surprised to be seated after about 15 minutes of wait time. After that quick seating, everything else seemed to take forever...drinks, food and the check all took forever to arrive. We tried the tropical tiki and the Arnold Palmer sweet tea with vodka were both really good!! Everyone was happy with their food but after almost 2 hours here, we all had to rush to eat and several weren't able to finish before we had to leave to get to the next wedding event which was too bad. If service had been better, this would have been a better rating. read more

Sat there for over 20 minutes trying to flag someone down to be waited on... nominal food and barely existent service. Oh and a Hendricks and Tonic cost $8.49... after liquor tax that single drink was $11.29. Nope. I won't be back. read more

We arrived around 11:30 restaurant was Half-Full. They told us it be a 10min wait because they just opened and didn't have any servers. I ask to just sit at a booth because I had a baby with me they told me no. I normally would of just walked out but I really wanted Try this place. We both got water. Managers came to get are Drinks and a appetizer(spinach Dip). Some server drop by and got are lunch order and didn't introduce her self and left are menus at the Table. Spinach dip was amazing, Had a slight Spice too it. Salsa that we got wasn't for me. My opinion was it was sweet and spicy and lacking a good Favor for salsa. As are lunch we key west chicken and shrimp. The entree was delicious. My only complaint was that it's a frozen chicken breast and isn't fresh. Mac and cheese was amazing. The staff started to come around and it started to be a great environment. First impressions are everything tho. Open to close you gotta be spot on. First of all, I came here 4 years ago for my graduation dinner and had a horrific experience. So I swore to never come back, but a friend told me we should try it again. I gave it another shot and I'm highly disappointed with this place. The atmosphere is pretty cool, but the service doesn't exist. We were sat and no one spoke to us for 15 minutes and I had to personally get up and ask for a waiter. Took a couple more minutes for anyone to even come over, and then the waiter made a sorry excuse as to why she is just now getting to us. And then when we got our food, my salmon was raw. Will never EVER come back to this place again. read more

Had received a gift card . Thought I'd take out my son for dinner We both ordered appetizers. He got the queso and I got tgbe Spinach dip. Dip had a box taste to it and it was ruined for me because they added a huge scoop of sour cream to the spinach dip ..... Son ordered the chix tenders and Fries. I got the Key west chic and shrimp. Presentation was excellent. However they neglected to pull out the poop sac out of the shrimp.. I had to pull it out of each 1 by then i didn't want it anymore. Then we ordered desert. Hot fudge cake ice cold in the middle and my key lime mini had more crust than filling Truly disappointing trip read more

The tilapia and shrimp was good. My cousin had an eye lash on her plate and they made her a fresh steak and gave her a discount.

I don't understand all the negative reviews. I've always had a good experience at Cheddars. The service and food is always good. Yeah sometimes they're busy and can't get to you every time you need a drink refill but what restaurant doesn't? They have the best food at really beyond reasonable prices. So 5 stars from me. Love me some Cheddars!!! read more

This place is imminently better than the other restaurants in its class. It's more affordable and the food is consistently better. I'm at a loss to understand why it's ratings are so mediocre. read more

We ate at this location on Sunday (5/19/2019) and I absolutely cannot stop raving about our food and server. Our server Andre was the best waiter we have had in a long time. He was attentive but not overbearing. It's like he knew what we needed before we did. My husband got the Philly sandwich and was impressed with the fact it had whole mushrooms and not just sliced up mushrooms like he's gotten from other restaurants. I got the chicken fried chicken and it was honestly the best! I also got the spiked cherry limeade and it tasted amazing(strong and sweet)! The food was fresh and came out quicker than we expected. The restrooms were clean and we were seated as soon as we arrived. This on top of Andres personality has made us definitely want to come back in the future! read more

This was our first drop on our visit to LR, visiting family. They recommended stopping here for lunch. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. I shared a Monte Cristo sandwich with my mom. She really enjoyed it, but for me it was just too sweet and bready (not my kind of food). The quality was good and the waitress was very pleasant. I'd be willing to try food from Cheddars again read more

I generally eat at locally owned restaurants. A friend wanted to meet here so I reluctantly agreed. You can literally taste the plastic and metal cans that everything comes out of. Truly one of the worst dining experiences of my life. It's inexpensive. So there's that. Id have rather run through a Taco Bell drive thru. And I hate Taco Bell. read more

First of all, I am giving Cheddar's 5-stars to compensate for some of the dumb ass reviews that have given the restaurant bad reviews without offering any concrete, constructive reasons. I give Cheddar's 5-stars for getting us seated in less than five minutes on a busy, rainy Friday night. I give Cheddar's 5-stars, because Kristin G gave us FANTASTIC SERVICE -- from beginning to end (trumping Ciao Baci, Red Door and a whole slew of Little Rock's finer dining establishments). I give Cheddar's 5-stars because the menu provided us a great selection of options...that weren't necessarily just "the standard" fare. I give Cheddar's 5-stars, because everything came to the table, as we ordered it! I give Cheddar's 5-stars for preparing everything well. Our spinach dip appetizer was hot (and delicious) as was the apple pie I enjoyed for dessert. This was a pleasant experience all around. I won't hesitate to come back and try Cheddar's again. read more

The WORST SERVICE EVER!!! The veteran servers are worse than the newbies. Floors were sticky and wet. 30 min wait to order even after being seated. Incorrect orders taken. Child seats have no seatbelts. Also, you have to make your own salads. WTF. I love cheddars but I will not be back. read more

Cheddar's already has a loyal following in Little Rock - really, it began day one - due to their extensive menu and inexpensive food & drinks. And if not already mentioned, expect a wait. They stay packed and do NOT take reservations. And, it's not really great for a large group - be advised. The restaurant has greasy, mediocre food. It's kind of dirty. And the service is inconsistent. But, drinks are cheap, cheap, cheap! I got a huge margarita with an additional shot for less than $4. Seriously. Cheap. And the croissants are incredible! So try it out, but don't complain too much- you've been warned! read more

I went to rate Cheddar's three stars but then i remembered one can get a ceasar side salad and croissant for 1.99 :). Here is the lowdown on Cheddars: Mediocre service, lots of "church-crowd" looking for cheap food and large portions, good food, decent atmosphere. The place reminds me of Red Lobster in that it attracts a certain type of patron; those looking for lots of cheap good food. So far I've been impressed with the Monte Cristo Sammich and chicken fingers dinner. If only the service was up to par and the place wasn't maniacally crowded it would be really great. read more

The service was mediocre. I expected better since I live in Atlanta and use to hit or miss service. The rib and chicken finger basket was ok. The ribs taste boiled with a slather of bbq sauce. This chicken fingers are a great size nice batter and cooked to perfection. read more

Great food great atmosphere. Wonderful service!! Took a large group before Meeting they got us in and out quickly!!

I have eaten at different cheddar's locations in different states before tonight, but never ever have encountered anything similar to this one. First the manager looked miserable as f**k, the girls at the front taking reservations acted like you're annoying them. The server was all over the place, running back and forth but seems like he's lost or looking for something, nothing productive. It took them about 50 minutes to bring the food that seemed not cooked all the way thru. They didn't give us bread/croissant, my iced tea had barely any ice in it. Not to mention the utensils looked like they were barely washed. Terrifying experience! Changed my mentality and view of Cheddar's forever. read more

First time here and the last. After waiting at our table for 15 minutes a couple of wait staff stood at our table, backs turned, and argued about whose table it was. The service had many opportunities for improvement. I ordered the Asian salad and my husband chose the lemon pepper white fish. We started with the ultimate nachos. The nachos arrived and were ok and within 5 minutes our main course. The salad was swimming in dressing. The salad so limp and not a dry morsel on the plate. Hubby said the fish was ok though. Mediocre food. Poor service. There are too many alternatives to risk another meal here. read more

Let's start with the line...first of all Arkansas this is a chain restaurant there is no reason to lineup for this mediocre chilis type food. Go to one of the more well known places in the area. Second the wait staff is absolutely awful they know they work at a trashy chain eatery and they act like it. Third why on earth is there mood lighting? Fourth...no seriously fill my water please... fifth: fine enjoy your 5% tip. Save yourself the hassle go somewhere else this is no better than Chilis. read more

This was our first experience with the Cheddar's chain. We're two couples from Louisiana and Missouri and were in town for a family member and decided to try this place on a Sunday. We arrived at about 6:00 PM and were seated within a few minutes. They were running a waiting list although the place was only about 2/3 full. Once we were seated, our server came right over and she was super, super nice. And in a genuine way, she was attentive and outgoing. Two had bar drinks and two had diet cokes. The bar drinks were some of those humongous, fruity, over-the-top things, and they said they were delicious. Really delicious. One of them had coconut dusted on the rim of the glass. I'm a single malt guy so nothing for me but anyway, they liked them. Appetizers were onion rings and loaded potato skins. Both were quite good and generous portions, especially the tower of onion rings. Seriously, it was a dual-tower wonder about 8 inches high. I had the heat sweet chicken and shrimp with ginger rice. Nice balance of flavor, good bit of ginger (which I love) and enough heat to let you know it's there. It's served with tails on the shrimp, which is more the norm when you get away from where we live in South Louisiana. I also had a side of broccoli cheese casserole and it was pretty good. Not great but I'd for sure order again. My sweetie had the chicken salad with candied pecans and a balsamic dressing and she loved it. The others had ribs (thumbs up), loaded potatoes (also thumbs up) and lemon pepper white fish. What kind of white fish? Who knows? It wasn't tilapia but might have been cod, haddock or something. She liked it a lot but didn't care for the seasoned rice. Service was very good throughout the meal. There was a couple in the booth behind us that wasn't happy because the guy wanted only one side with his meal instead of two. He ordered two and didn't like one and wanted it taken off his check. Well, the manager had to come over and what resulted was a long, low-key negotiation with this moron that I thought the manager handled splendidly. This guy was obtuse, insisting that the side shouldn't be charged even though the restaurant had moved heaven and earth to find a side that was suitable to him. In the end, it turned out that this was over $2.49 and the manager knocked it off the bill. Sheesh. Anyway, no cover charge for the entertainment and the food and service were good enough that we'll go back. Nice folks, interesting menu for a chain. read more

Alright. This place was ok. I got a chicken salad, and it was clearly 'assembled in plate' a long time before i ordered. Probably could have gotten the same thing at the grocery store. The facility itself was relatively nice - clean and slick. Our waitress has a lot of pizazz - serious personality - which I had mixed feelings about. She continuously reminded us about how to spell her name - kind of odd! read more

Ordering takeout is very iffy. Be advised that you'd be better off going to Big Orange across the street from Park Plaza if you want decent service and better food. At Cheddar's, even when they do actually remember to enter the ticket and prepare your order after you call it in, when you get there your order is on the end of the bar with countless others, usually with someone else's takeout box stacked on top of yours. My first experience with takeout from Cheddar's: Called in, placed the order, got there and it was among several others boxed up and ready to go at the end of the bar. You can tell management doesn't expect many people to order anything to go from this place, but clearly there's a demand there. I doubt they'll do anything further to meet it. The server had to open the container to make sure the order was mine. Thankfully it was. Waited almost 10 minutes overall to pay and leave. My second experience with takeout from Cheddar's: Called in, placed the order, got there, and there were takeout boxes full of food literally stacked on one another at the end of the bar. Server couldn't locate the ticket after awkwardly looking under boxes. Found out the ticket was never entered and the order was never prepared. I was given the option of waiting another 20-25 minutes or giving up on their terrible service. I gave up. To Cheddar's management: You operate in Midtown Little Rock. It's a given that you're always going to be overwhelmingly busy because of your convenient location and yet you operate on the level of the Applebee's they closed in Southwest LR. Please hold yourself and your staff to a higher standard than this. read more

Locals might know what I mean when I call Cheddar's an upscale Dixie Cafe with better food and service. We enjoyed the Wisconsin cheese bites for an appetizer. A touch too salty, they were tasty with an excellent marinara sauce. We both ordered Chicken fried chicken dinners, and to our surprise ..the"dinner" portion included 2 friend chicken breasts. Instant leftovers I didn't really want, but would put to good use. The mashed potatoes are too salty, the gravy tasted like bacon. The menu is broad and prices are reasonable. I'll go back. read more

Honestly, given these clowns, three stars is being generous.... And I'm being nice about that because their food is fairly consistent. The biggest problem with Cheddars is they need to open more than one of them in the Little Rock area on special occasions the places are literally bombarded. I went in there to buy my mother a $25 gift card for Mother's Day and I went in the evening around 5 PM wound up sitting up waiting 10 minutes to get a gift card and the server it was absolutely clueless. And even though they were busy and I was taking that into account, she thought I was gonna wait an extra 15 to 20 minutes while the manager decided to get off his posterior and come and issue me a new gift card. I got frustrated and just left and don't get the game twisted. I understand that you can't just specifically cater to one particular customer but it shouldn't take that long to grab a gift card and your service going about her day like I'm not even in existence. Ever since the end of the pandemic, and they open back up, the quality of customer service of this place has went to sh!t. They need to get back to hiring people directly. Give a damn. read more

We were in Little Rock recently during my husband's birthday in January. Our hotel was right up the street so as we rode around, this is the first restaurant we saw that we might want to try. I had the Salmon and my husband had the steak. The food was ok after I sent the Salmon back. It wasn't fresh and another order was sent out that was better. Fortunately the service was better. The place wasn't busy at all on a Thursday. We were seated right away and the server came within minutes. Sometimes the service makes up for the food and the server really tried to make it right. The food is decent, if not good, but the service is SLOW. 10 minutes to be greeted, another 7 minutes for our drinks, and I'll let you use your imagination for delivery times of our app and entrees -- which were both sent to the wrong table. It is a corporate restaurant, so some service quirks are to be expected, but nothing like we experienced here. The manager, who was always visible, never bothered to check on any of the diners, instead walking around slightly aloof. In any event, the Chicken and Waffles were OK...the chicken had almost a homemade taste to it -- which is good, but different from the standard 'restaurant chicken strips' but the waffle was by no means the best I've had. If you do order this, make sure you ask for 2 or 3 syrups (or if you order anything that requires a dipping sauce, ask for 2 or 3) because what they give you by default barely fills 1/4 of the holes in the waffle :) It should be noted we were there on a monday night at around 630 read more
