The menu online looks spectacular and had a lot of interesting dishes. I was super excited. I saw that they were open late and I was also very happy about this because my meal was after work. I arrived at 9:30 walked in the side entrance and saw a post hunched over and squatted down, looking at her iPhone. I also saw another employee leaning on the host stand talking to her. He didn't greet me neither did she until I walked to the front of the house stand. She got up from her crouch position and said can I help you? I was surprised to see what she was wearing, an oversized hoodie with some type of logo on it, which was not an appropriate thing to wear, and it did not match the other employee that were more crisp. I said dining for one and grabbed a menu and slid it across the host stand out of pure laziness. She slumped her way over with the menu hanging on her left side and sat me at a table. Wow what a lousy first impression for a restaurant that I was so excited to visit. A server came over gave me a menu and brought me water. Disappointed to see that the menu was completely different from the menu that I saw online. No unique dishes and the variety was not great. However, I was there and felt I'd give it a chance. A server that was at the bar entering tickets or something, kept looking over at my table, but no one ever acknowledged me after I was seated. I waited for about 10 minutes until someone realized I need assistance. The server finally came over. He was polite to check my order served my meal left me to be on my own to check on me one time, but it certainly wasn't a two minute check when he should to see if my meal was to my satisfaction. My plates were not cleared and I had to ask for the check.. the food was OK. I had the salmon. Nothing spectacular. risotto was uneventful. Got my check and left. No goodbye, no thank you for coming in no stand out service. As a restaurant professional in California, I can't figure out if it's just a Texas thing or they rate everything high or this restaurant truly is deserving of its accolades..

Stopped here, the food was excellent, wait staff was great, the owner stopped by to check on me and introduce himself, if I lived in Laredo I would be a regular here. Although I'm from Ohio, next time I'm camping in the Laredo area, I will stop for another meal.

As we were the firsts other people came by and they were treated the same as us until a larger group came and mentioned that they needed a seating of 6 which she then commented about having a reservation on hold for a group and needing to see how to seat them (not sure if that was the group or not) but the fact still stands that it should be communicated to others that seating is limited due to a reservation, not just simply giving limited options and not explaining. If I had known I would have gone back another time or even made a reservation for the future. Not sure if I would go back, having different menu options between weekdays/weekends was a real bummer. I really wanted a montecristo but they only offered it on weekends from 8-10? I believe is what she said... I hope others have a better experience but I thought I should comment in hopes of change for the next time I give it another shot

It was next to my hotel so I straight up walked here. Seeing the reviews, I was hesitant but trudged in. Upon entering, i witnessed a clean establishment with plenty of seating and got the impression that the business is military friendly. Probably due to them asking me upon arriving if I had a military ID. Pretty nice of them that they respect those who have spent time in the services. Anyways, a decided on a seat at the bar and ordered a beer and 10 wings in the Chipotle and Chili Mango flavors. Thought about making it a meal with the fries but decided against it. As for the wings, they are pretty big and good crunch although not much seasoning as the flavors are all from the sauces. I'm fortunate I got the ones I picked with the chipotle having a nice kick and the chili mango a mix of sweet and spicyiness. While the flavor of the wings are mainly from the sauce, it's hard to beat the price with 10 wings at $13 which is a bargain these days (thanks inflation). There's plenty of tvs here and most of the sports are in spanish for soccer/int'l baseball. I found they played korean baseball here which was pretty cool to see. Whether you're military or not, expect good-sized wings at a good price with sports playing if that's your thing.

Waitress was unsmiling and refused to speak English. I don't mind someone trying to learn a language but she didn't seem to be trying or in a good mood. Luckily we know a bit of Spanish. My brother in law who is from Texas loves this restaurant.
