The first time we came here, we were blown away by how good the food was. Because it's an hour drive for us to get her we haven't been back in a while. But we had some business on this side of town and it was the first place we wanted to stop. It was a Sunday evening around 5:00pm and there was a wait already outside. We chose to sit at the bar since it was full service and we could sit right away. We each had a Yuengling ($7.00/each for a tall) and I ordered the New Orleans pasta while my husband had the meatloaf. The pasta was what I had when we first ate there and I was looking Looking forward to the spicy Alfredo sauce and the excessive amounts of pepper and sausage that were included in the pasta. Unfortunately that's not what I got. There was barely any sauce and the spice level has been tremendously turn down. I had two peppers and three pieces of sausage in my pasta. There were two larger pieces of chicken as well as five shrimp. All in all I was slightly disappointed as it didn't live up to what I had originally had. My husband ordered the meatloaf and was disappointed. The meatloaf basically tasted like it had all the ingredients with an excessive amount of bread crumbs that weren't fully cooked making it basically taste like mush. The mashed potatoes he got as a side didn't have any flavor to them and the broccoli was slightly overcooked. When the server came over to take our plates she didn't even bother asking if there was anything wrong with the meal just simply " did you want to go box" and then took the plates away when we said no. If you're into coleslaw theirs will not disappoint. I had the Chicken Strips and Coconut Shrimps. I chose French fries and Coleslaw for my sides. Cheddars in Kissimmee is such a great restaurant, I live right near by and come all the time. Great prices, and good food. Every time I come they provide great service and take care of us. Even take out food come out hot and always on time when scheduled to pick up. I've never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant and I'm very surprised at the good ratings shown for this location. Me, my husband and my 2 toddlers came here and were so disappointed. Our waiter Jinette was rude to my daughter and just had an overall rude personality that did not make us feel welcome. Our croissants came out soggy. Our food had no flavor and also not to mention when Jinette passed me my plate she did not mention how extremely hot it was and I thought I had burned myself. I also asked for extra fries with my kids' meal and we never got them. The fries that did show up to the table, looked reheated and burnt (as if they were from the bottom of the barrel). We did speak with a manager at some point who had taken care of most of our tab, which was very kind and the least they could do. So after that we decided to do dessert for our kids and ordered the skillet cookie with ice cream, and our waitress did warn us it will take 12 minutes to make (no big deal). We expected to wait the 12 min, but instead she came back within about 2 min with A COLD, HARD, BURNT, COOKIE! Haven't been here since the pandemic and I had heard some rumbles that it was no longer good. Rumors of its demise were greatly exaggerated. I wanted to try those Honey Butter Croissants and was pleasantly surprised that they come with your meal. They were SO sweet & savory that I now want to put honey butter on everything! Love the house salad that it includes egg and large croutons. For my entree I had the Fish & Chips with cole slaw. Fish was perfectly lightly fried crunchy and the meat so white and tender inside. The fries were seasoned and so tasty I had to say it out loud. I had the Maui Margarita and if I didn't have to drive I could have sat there all night just knocking those back, can't wait to get back and have another! I finished off with the Carrot Cake which was both light and rich at the same time. They include pecans which I love and no raisins which I don't so it was a win win. We came in to spend our Christmas gift cards. This meal was so bad we not only did not even finish, we didn't use the gift cards. The only good thing about the food was the reliable honey butter croissants. Our server Destiny was an absolute gem. She deserves a raise for her service mindedness and sweet personality. The sampler appetizer was lackluster, with the disappointment being the chicken tenders. Zero flavoring in the batter and a ton of extra breading that was so hard it felt like it could break my teeth. The "bone in rib-eye" was mostly bone and gristle. The innermost section was partially edible, but the top and bottom and outsides were burnt to a dry crisp. The veggie plate had undercooked green beans, overcooked carrots, and super salty overly buttered corn. The Moscow mule my husband ordered was mostly lime juice. My Southern Sweet Tea was halfway decent. The most atrocious meal I have eaten in the 4 years I have lived in Kissimmee. We paid cash instead of our gift cards because we wanted to actually enjoy the meal we were gifted. Management, you need to re-examine how you are training your kitchen staff. Okay but seriously I did not expect for this restaurant to be so darn good! We were in town and were starving and decided to look for a restaurant near by to get take out. The process was super easy. Ordered online, drive up to the designated parking and an employee will bring the food to your car. Everything was ready within 30 minutes. When we got home the food was still hot and nicely packed. They even included their famous warm croissant like bread with honey butter. So now meals - rib and chicken combo with loaded mash and coleslaw. The ribs were really good fall off the bone good. It was such a big serving I couldn't even finish it. Coconut shrimp was really crispy and nicely done with the broccoli and cheese casserole which was honestly really good. I am not a broccoli fan at all and this was delicious. The kids meal chicken tenders and fries is enough for an adult. Everything was delicious. Great chain restaurant located near the Loop in Kissimmee. Since the new precautions are in place the restaurant wasn't too crowded and we were seated right away for lunch. The hostess was pleasant and the server we had was mice and checked in on us and refilled our beverages speedily. We started with their famous honey butter croissants which are so delicious be careful not to order too much. They are addictive! We both ordered the chicken tender platter for lunch one with hot honey on the side and the other buffalo sauce on the side. The tenders were fried perfectly and still super juicy. The fires were pretty good, but I chose to go somewhat healthy and get the southern green beans and sweet carrots. Both are very good and a good substitute instead of fries. This is the 2nd time I have visited and the 2nd time I was less than impressed. I love home cooking but I also love great flavor and this place always leaving me feeling disappointed. On this particular visit 4 of us were sat in the middle of the front dining room, which has about one too many tables in it. My mom had no where to put her walker due to the confined space and so we put it between the 2 of us to help keep it out of the way. When our server came over he seemed to be in a rush and kicked the walker. He apologized and took our drink order. When he returned with the drinks he managed too run into the walker again. In fact I don't remember a time during the meal when he didn't run into it and he was always rushing everywhere but none of the other servers were. We all ordered and then continued to chat. When he brought everything out we dug in. As my mom was eating she noticed the bread that was supposed to come with her meal was missing. She managed to flag down our server to let him know. He said, "Yes it does come with a slice of Texas Toast. Did you look under your Chicken Fried Steak?" Excuse me What? It was not under the steak. He said he would be back with it in a moment. It was about 5 moments before she received her toast. When we finished eating our server was no where to be found. Finally he walked over and we requested our checks. No offer of dessert or refills at all. He said he would right back. Two of us stayed to wait for the checks while the other 2 in our parry headed out to the car. It took over 15 minutes once we had the checks to get them processed. I saw the manager watching everything throughout our dinner but he never stopped at any tables. The food was really good. The salmon that I had tasted good and well seasoned. The bourbon glaze was good, it was a little too sweet though. However if you like sweet then this works for you. The rice was well made, and the green beans were well seasoned, however I wouldn't consider it southern green beans. So if you are expecting southern, it is not that. Just be aware. It still tasted really good. The chocolate cake was decent, the only thing I would say was that it didn't taste fresh, and it was kind of firm more on the hard side. However the actually taste was good. I would still recommend this place. I know the kitchen was backed up, so that may have been a factor on quality and taste. Just keep that in mind. One star for handicapped parking! On the way home from the airport last night the three of us were hungry and needed to stop before we got home. We knew there wasn't anything there. Somebody suggested Cheddar's Restaurant. We were there at the loop so why not. Our visitor asked what was Cheddar's, my answer was Denny's with cheese. Sorry Denny's you are much more than this place could ever imagine. Ok so the place was pretty big, had a bar and mostly dark. After minutes of consternation choices were finally selected. A big chicken and walnut salad, a Monty Cristo Sandwich and a Burger. "A Monte Cristo sandwich is an egg-dipped or batter-dipped ham and cheese sandwich that is pan or deep fried. It is a variation of the French croque monsieur."Wikipedia This sandwich looked like greasy pieces of battered fried fish. The only thing missing was the fish. You could squeeze the grease out of the sandwich. The salad was ok and probably what save this place from a -zero rating. The burger, oh dear God how could anybody think they could serve a 8oz Patty reduced to 4oz and burnt so badly it tasted like charred wood. It didn't matter that I said no onion no pickles, it came with them anyway. I complained. Manager apologized, offered to get me another's. I didn't trust this kitchen with anything else. Went to Cheddar's this weekend with my family. This is not an establishment that I frequent but I must say that the food and drinks are well-priced. I had the fried shrimp and french fries to share with my husband. The shrimp were very big but the batter on it was a little bit gummy on the inside. My fries were a little bit cold. I also got a baked potato which was hot and fresh. It didn't taste microwaved like a lot of these places and I really enjoyed it. My son got the chicken alfredo which he enjoyed. It was a big portion of these brought half of it home My niece and nephew got the kids macaroni and cheese and chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were big and crunchy and the macaroni and cheese looked fresh and not Kraft that most restaurants give kids. I also enjoyed that they gave us the fresh croissants drizzled with frosting at the beginning of our meal. The kids were very excited about that. My usual here is a fried whiting. They usually give you a lot. it's very tasty and the coleslaw with it is really good. I felt like I should have got it this time too but I wanted to try something different. All in all it's a good family restaurants that doesn't break the bank. We were out at The Loop to do some Christmas shopping and hit this place for a late lunch / early dinner. We opted to sit at the bar since it was busy and the bar was pretty open. The bar top itself is open seating, not the high tops or booths. We were greeted right away by a server and given menus. I went with the lunch portion of salmon with broccoli cheese casserole and corn on the side. Hubs had chicken tenders with fries. We noticed that our food was taking awhile and that others around us were getting theirs so we asked about it. Bartender told us it was because the others ordered sandwiches which are faster. So heads up that non sandwiches took over thirty minutes to get out. We watched others be seated, order, get their food, pay and leave on the time it took to get our food. Bartender went back to check on it after we asked and suddenly it was all ready and she brought it. So not sure if it was slow kitchen, delayed order or what. No matter when you visit Cheddar's, it is always busy and I know why, the food is simple and tasty, and the prices are very reasonable. You will find lots of large parties and families here. We have been here several times for drinks, lunch and dinner before. We ordered the Santa Fe Spinach Dip which was good, I had the blackened salmon and shrimp with broccoli, others in our party had chicken Alfredo, fried shrimp and fries. My blackened salmon and shrimp were not blackened, though still good and my broccoli was mostly uncooked. The chicken Alfredo was a little dry and needed some flavor. Stopped in for lunch on New Years Day. Very busy but found a table for our 3 in less than 15 minutes. The menu has tons if comfort foods to choose from at very reasonable prices. Our waiter Anthony was personable, excellent server and attentive throughout. We dined on lemon pepper chicken rice and green beans, burgers and buffalo chicken wrap. One entree was so questionable (the chicken) we had to send it back after one bite. I should have sent mine back as well, but it took so long to receive our meals (over 45 minutes), I just made due. And it wasn't like we arrived during peak hours...it was after 2 pm. I ordered a fish and shrimp combo. The shrimp were tasty, as was the broccoli rice casserole. My blackened fish, and I use that term loosely, appeared to have been pounded flat. I'm wondering if they tried to make it appear bigger by pounding it out? I had to cut every piece with a knife because it was so overcooked and dry. Like I said, I definitely should have sent it back. I never got my side salad, and the waitress was never around to ask for it. We ordered the queso appetizer and were given hardly any chips for three people to share. When we finally saw our waitress we asked for a refill of chips and they were brought out with our entrées. By then there was no point in having them because the queso had completely gone cold and congealed. Two of us had to eat over half our meal with no drinks because we couldn't get a refill. It was just such a waste of time and money. And it's rare to have everything be a problem. On occasion you might have slow service, but the food is good. I loved Cheddar's until I went to this location. Their attention to detail was poor and their staff wasn't trained properly. I think they were also short staffed. Low lights of the visit included: 1) tables crammed together with no social distancing 2) one pasta dish had a large plastic bag in the dish. Gross! 3) restroom smelled like it hadn't been thoroughly cleaned in a month. When we asked for the manager to talk about the plastic bag in the dish she apologized. Said there was a new cook in the kitchen. She then said she would comp the meal with the plastic bag in it and give us a 25% discount on the rest of the check. She comped the meal. When we got home we realized we did not get the 25% discount on the other meals. She also gave us a gift certificate to come back ... a whopping $10 gift certificate. It was a paper certificate that was reused twice before with dates that had been scratched out and written over. I can't imagine any other Cheddar's would accept it. Incredibly unprofessional. And what's with the "scratch kitchen" BS in their name. I wouldn't think anything in a scratch kitchen would come out of a plastic bag, especially a pasta dish. Cheddar's is Traditional American so I would compare them relatively to Ale House or Applebee's. Their menu features like 80% of their items combined with chicken tenders though. Wait was about 25-30 minutes and they ask for your phone number to text you when your table is ready. You still had to wear masks when walking around the restaurant, though. I didn't get a picture of the appetizers but the chicken tenders and honey butter crossaints were like 10/10. Especially the queso and chips. I liked the spinach dip too. I got a drink that was half mango flavored sweet tea and lemonade. I always drink an Arnold Palmer when I'm out and about, but the mango was sooo delicious. Bacon cheese burger looked good until we realized the bun was moldy. Spinach cheese dip was 99% spinach. Fries were gross. Salad literally had the lettuce head in it. Only decent items were the pot pies and the steaks. Everything else we got was garbage. Croissants were dry and tasteless. Chips are oily.
