Okay, been to Cheddars about 5 times!! Crazy good food at reasonably good prices. The chicken fingers, In our opinion are better than Canes. We like Canes , but they are over the top delicious and larger! You won't be disappointed trust me!! Another favorite are the fall off the bone ribs. I ordered a full plater today, needless to say I knew I wasn't going to finish it. So they became dinner, my wife was happy I shared with her. The service was good, can't complain, she checked on us and refilled our drinks. Pleasant waitress The ambiance, nice, roomy & clean. I have seen lots of people enjoying their meal with their families, enough seating for 6, maybe 8, and they can also accommodate a large group too. They even have a bar with big screens. The High top tables are actually not bad. I have used the app to put my name on the waiting list, which works pretty nicely. Don't forget to let the hostess know when you arrive. The parking lot gets full quickly, and its not that big. Sometimes I park in the larger parking lot outside of the restaurant. Almost forgot, they serve complementary croissants covered with a glaze which are very addicting. So, overall this has turned into our go to restaurant. My wife and I stopped by for lunch. We arrived at around 11:20 and there was just a few parking spots open in the restaurant lot. We got seated immediately and there was still several empty tables. The waitress was nice. You get a free croissant with icing for every guest. They were actually pretty good. The wife got the shrimp and fish dish with a house sales and green bean. She said everything was great, except for the green beans. I had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and substituted the green beans with baby carrots. The top four or five carrots were cold, but the rest were warm. The chicken fried steak was huge and was the best I'd ever had. They had it sitting on a piece of Texas toast. This location is horrible for dine-in and carry-out. The Goodyear location is much more efficient, and their food even tastes better! I won't be back to the this location, ever. I gave it multiple attempts as I know they just opened in July 2022, but they've done nothing to improve operations whatsoever. We were happy to see this restaurant open!! However, we were't happy we weren't happy with the service, atmosphere, and food! Took forever to place our order, took forever to get the order, andit arrived it was served cold. My husband sent his baked potato back for a hot one and was told it would be right out, it took at least 15 minutes even reminding the wait person we were waiting. Once again the potato was cold! THIS rastaurnat shouldn't have opened yet, the employees needed more training, the cooks needed lessons and the architect needed to go back to drawing stick men, as the noise was such we couldn't have a conversation. Very good comfort food! I got the Chicken Pot Pie and my husband got the Monte Cristo both were delicious. I also ordered the Painkiller drink (I like sweet drinks) and this was sweet and yummy. Price was very reasonable at about $25 per person including an alcoholic beverage. The staff is wonderful and friendly and you'll get a free sweet roll when you sit down. Do not eat the steak you as can't even get a fork into it it is so tough. The side vegetables are not always available and the white fish I got was so severely oversalted that I had to take it home and wash it in the sink before I could eat it. My friend said the potato broccoli cheddar soup was delicious. This is probably a better place to order fattening food than healthy food. read more

I came here for my dads birthday and it was honestly a well picked choice. They just opened up at this location and I think it's been a good alternative as far as food options go around the arrowhead area. They first bring you some croissants, normally other places do bread but they do croissants. They are so good, I wish I could have them for breakfast! But the food is well made. I think their menu could be a bit bigger or maybe have more options. If you're debating on what side to get, I recommend the Broccoli Casserole they have. It's like a cheesy broccoli casserole that taste amazing! I will say we got their large appetizer to share and some of the sauces felt like they were straight from a can, like their salsa and nacho cheese dip. My wife and I ordered the ribeye steak. We're asked how we would like it cooked and we said medium. What we got wasn't even medium rare. The meat was completely raw. I spoke to our server if they're having staff issues in the kitchen and he just said, "I don't know because I don't hire them." And just went away. I cook a lot and I know the difference between raw and cook meat. I don't even think they check the meat temperature after they cook it. It's appalling and disappointing! I won't be surprised if this restaurant last another 6 months to a year! Never coming back for sure! Saying from scratch is an embarrassment. Chicken pot pie was tooooo salty. We (two of us) signed on the waitlist at 5:40 and at that time there was a 40-50 minute wait, we were finally seated at 7:55. The two young hostess were very apologetic and we realize it's not their fault. We went to the bar to wait and it was filthy, dirty glasses, dishes, sticky bar top. We have now been here three times since July, 2022, now August. Some food is fine, ribs, drinks, shrimp and more. But the staff is inexperienced, the kitchen gets orders wrong, food is not cooked properly as ordered, etc. especially the steaks which some of us ordered each visit. The first was raw, the 2nd so tough not edible, the 3rd ordered well done and came out burned on top, rare in center. They cooked another, thinner, and took the price off the first. That was nice. We took home the burned one which was so tough a knife would not cut. If they are offering steak they need to buy better cuts of meat, change the supplier, or just offer chicken tenders, fried shrimp and burgers. Might be fine for drinks and appetizers read more

Came in on opening day and it was great. Came in again on August 17th and waited 20 minutes to get a table. Ordered a drink, appetizer, a burger and a country fried steak. 40 minutes go by, no drink, no appetizer, no food. I asked our waiter where they were and he said he'll make sure it gets to us. 20 minutes later still no drink, appetizer or food. We left. We do not have time to waste waiting for nothing. We waited a total of an hour sitting down at our table. The people next to us got their food and they missed items and sent several back. They said the chicken was dry. Excited to try since we had been waiting for them open. Staff was friendly and that's why they got 2 stars. Not because of the food. My daughter and I each got steak. It was soooo peppery and over seasoned that we could barely eat it. My husband had chicken fried steak that was overly salty and greasy. It made his stomach hurt. My husband & I went to Cheddar's Saturday night. The decor is lovely, the wait time was 20 minutes at 4:50pm. We were taken to our seats & had a bit of a wait till our server came. A very nice young lady. Took our drink order & then we waited again- 20+ minutes. We were getting hungry now. Our shared appetizer came - spinach dip. It was barely hot & terribly over salted. My husband did eat it. Now the real wait was happening. We noticed the wait staff hustling to get their work done. They looked frazzled & tired. I asked if they were short staffed, she noted no, restaurant is just too busy & kitchen is overwhelmed. Oh boy! Finally got our dinner around 6:45 pm. My husband had the pot pie which he said was not really good & not hot, I ordered the chicken & shrimp over rice with carrots & broccoli on the side. I asked that the pineapple picode gallo be served on the side, it was not. The shrimp were Luke warm, the chicken.... Well, I don't know what positive thing to say. It had no taste it was rubbery & just tasted fake. Very dissatisfied with our meal. Our server kept apologizing but, we told her it's not her fault. We paid our meal & left. Always impressed with this place whenever I eat here. I tried it a couple months ago and have been back here at least 5 times since. The food is amazing and the service is always great. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place except that more locations need to be opened up! I love how you get your money's worth here because the portions of the food are huge. The price of the food itself is affordable as well, so its a win-win. I always leave feeling satisfied with my meal. I especially love the free croissant you get at the beginning of your meal, so delicious! Chain restaurants are usually so-so and usually end up not being that good but Cheddars is far from that. I've brought family members in here who's never tried the food and they ended up being hooked too because its so good! There's also a lot of different items to try from, it makes it hard choosing. My favorite is the chicken tenders because you get actual meat with them. They're not tiny or get one bite off them. They're huge pieces and are definitely filling. We have been to this place three times to give it a try. Every time the service has been horrible in the food has been just average. My husband and I went there on Monday night early at like 4 o'clock thinking it wouldn't be as packed as it usually is and maybe we would get better service. They are supposed to bring you hot croissants while you're waiting they never did in fact we waited almost 15 minutes before the two bartenders who were standing there chatting even looked our way and we were the only one sitting at the bar besides another couple that already had drinks. The bar was littered with dirty dishes from people who had eaten and then left yet there they sat and there were the two bartenders just chitchatting away totally ignoring us. Finally had to wave at the guy to get his attention and get served a glass of wine. Ridiculous I always horrible horrible service they don't know the meaning of the word or how to treat their customers and their food is average at best save your money and go someplace else don't go to this place you'll be disappointed. read more

Been here twice. Both times were extremely disappointing. My husband and I went opening week, only to be served frozen foods reheated. We complained to a manager and she openly admitted to them serving Ore-Ida french fries with Kraft cheese, among other menu items being frozen foods. Apparently their food truck was delayed and they ran out of food, so they instead chose to serve their customers freezer section foods from the local grocery store, at a restaurant that is known for food being made from SCRATCH. I then went again about a month later with some friends, giving them a second chance. We were told that our wait time would be 40-45 minutes. We waited close to 2 HOURS and NEVER got our table. We gave in and left, eating at the Raising Canes just across the way. This restaurant is obviously underprepared for being open for business and poorly ran. It's disappointing to someone who has waited YEARS for a Cheddars to be close by, and it's a disaster. 10/10 do NOT recommend. read more

My goodness....what a mess. We arrived and were thrilled to hear there would only be a 5-10 minutes wait even though the place was crowded (Yay!). We were then taken to where the 'bad' people must have to go - the farthest, worst table in the back of the bar area. Great....but whatever. We waited about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our existence. When our server finally arrived, we placed our order. Thinking this shouldn't be too long, we awaited waters because those did not arrive with the server. 10 minutes later, she brings us some water and some flattened down croissants. We're at least 20 minutes in at this point before we got the water/pastry. I'd say it was another 45 minutes before our lukewarm food arrived at the table. I honestly couldn't believe this. We had not planned on being there for 90 minutes, which we were. The food was ok, but not hot. We had already waited so long and saw our server so infrequently, that we didn't bother sending it back. service was bad, Kristifer didn't say much at all, forgot our drinks at first. when he realized he brought them and set them down without a word. brought our food and set it down and our drinks were empty at that point-he didn't offer more. he just walked away. food was cold. staff including mgr was walking right past us with us obviously out of drinks and not eating our food-no one even recognized we were sitting there. turned on kiosk to alert server, he walked past 5x without stopping and when he did all he said was "you need something?". told him we needed more drinks, when he brought them he didn't say a word. we used kiosk to pay without receiving a check, did survey on there about horrible service. we did not leave a tip and we are ALWAYS 25%+ tippers as we know the struggles in the world and making ends meet prior to being medical professionals. we will never be back, and we chose this location because we love the cheddar's in Knoxville! sad representation of the cheddars name as even the food was bland and had little taste, what we ate due to it being so cold. read more
