Honey butter croissant
Andrea G.

Average. The food is decent but nothing to write home about. My favorite thing here are the honey butter croissants, honey mustard dipping sauce and the chicken tenders, when they aren't overly breaded. My kids love the spinach dip, the kids chicken tenders with fries and red beans and rice. I've had the ribs and they were just okay. My son enjoys the shrimp alfredo pasta, is enough for two meals. The carrot cake was again, just okay. Small slice but we all shared. Great ambiance and the staff is always friendly.

Cheddars was actually a very nice restaurant the place is casual ambiance and they have tables and booths as well. The service was excellent very informative and well organized friendly as well. The food was excellent and everything was delicious and perfect just a nice place for good food and get together.

The Chef had some jokes LOL

Have to say since going here NEVER had an issue, waitstaff was always great and the food was too, the reason for the 4 star is cuz this is the 1 time I have an issue, I think the chef had some jokes (see pic) the atmosphere in the restaurant always great will be back

Automatic gratuity-trash.

BE AWARE CLARKSVILLE! So here's the story-as everyone here knows, it's pouring rain right now here, Saturday (4/5). Me and the wife decided to order take out since we didn't want to go in AND because we didn't feel like going somewhere where tipping would be part of the gig. We called our order in via phone and paid via the link they text you with. I paid using the link and there was never a mention of a tip, so I assumed they were doing the right thing and not charging a tip because, well tipping is for waiters and no one waited on us since it was take out...right? NOPE! Cheddars put in an automatic tip without my verbal, written, or otherwise consent. That, folks is called theft. Great food, zero ethical compass. Used to be one of my favorites, now,...not sure I'm ever going back.

My steak dinner

I will say I did enjoy my experience here. Visitor from California. The service was top notch. The server was friendly and helpful, and the manager stopped by our table to check on us. My wife and I both ordered a pineapple coconut beverage that was really boozy and sweet. We had the Wisconsin cheese bite appetizer. I liked that. Served with ranch dressing. My wife ordered the chicken pot pie with a side of green beans. She enjoyed it but way too salty for her taste. The green beans just tasted odd. I tried one and we both agreed. She wished she had ordered a different side. I ordered the bone in ribeye with caesar salad and loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked medium well, some pink in the middle, I had ordered it medium rare. It was not far enough off that I said anything or asked for it to be redone. It tasted pretty good, but it was not as tender as I had hoped. The baked potato was just okay. It seemed like it was cooked a while ago and reheated. It lacked the moisture I would expect from a baked potato right out of the oven. The ceasar salad was a big hit. I waffled between giving 3 or 4 stars. The decor in the place is festive, and our experience with the staff was very good.

Caesar salad

Took my parents here for a quick dinner. The good: the food is flavorful in terms of seasoning although it can be salty if you're not used to that so be sure to get water. The app trio has good queso as well as spinach dip. The honey rolls are great as a opening snack although you only get one per person. I ordered the chicken and shrimp while my parents got the 20oz ribeye and whitefish. Our server was extremely friendly snd good natured. My caesar salad side was pretty good. The bad: the steak had so much fat on it that it was at least 25% of the steak itself. The knives provided to customers are also the same you would find at any fast food diner although you would think it would be different. The whitefish was flavored but only barely. My chicken and shrimp while tasty was such a small amount that i felt as if i was missing half my meal. The chicken breast was equal to half the size of a regular one. To "compliment" it was four tiny shrimp that looked like they should have been thrown back to grow more.

The croissants are absolutely amazing! That being said while the staff was great, the food was mediocre at best and mostly fried.

We kept giving them another chance because hey maybe they were off their game that time. But honestly, after our last visit ( a week ago). Never again will we return. My husband's burger was cold. There wasn't even any warmth to his burger when he took a bite out of it. All of our sodas were FLAT! no carbonation whatsoever. My daughter ordered a lemonade. She then told me to try it. I took a sip. TERRIBLE!! literally tasted like tap water with lemon juice. Just horrible. And disappointing. I don't know what happened to this place. But they really need to fix it. It's so sad that a place that we liked so much has gone down hill so terribly. Service was subpar and restaurant was clean. But their food is awful!

Delivery was super convenient and the food was still hot! The food overall. was average, but maybe just not a cuisine for us. We ordered the 3-Piece Whiting Dinner (with Mac & Cheese and Potatoes), 2-Piece Catfish Dinner (with Mac & Cheese, Home Potatoes, and Hush Puppies), and 6-Piece Wings (with Mac & Cheese and Fries). We also received a complimentary container of the coleslaw. Luckily, I picked the catfish. It was the best part of the entire meal. Unanimous vote for 2 Thumbs Up on the catfish with its light and crispy outer breading. Even baby ate every bite offered him since the catfish seemed to melt in your mouth! So good. Best I've had that I can recall. I liked the hush puppies - 2nd place pick! For baby, he liked the Fries also. They were soft, so easy for him to eat! Sorry, no pics of anyone else's food since they all dig into theirs before I could even get to mine. I served baby his bowl of Mac & Cheese which he usually likes any and all pasta with any and all cheese. However, he took one bite of this one. Refused to eat anymore. Unanimous vote that it may have had an unidentifiable different flavor that we all were not crazy about. Was it a different kind of cheese? Was it mustard that made it so bright yellow-orange? We couldn't figure it out. Definitely a secret recipe. The wings were plain with sauces on the side. Hubby loves wings, but said these "were okay". I liked them dipped in the BBQ sauce. Hubby said they were basically a fried chicken wing that tasted average to him. I think he would have loved them doused in hot sauce, then dipped in the ranch. I'll have to order hot sauce next time. My dad had the whiting dinner and when I asked about it, all he could say was that it was "real fish". I took that as a win. He likes to eat fish on Fridays - every Friday! So, my hubby and I tried a piece for ourselves. We agree that it tasted very fishy! Lol. No wonder my dad liked it! Wish I got a photo of the liquidy and pinkish coleslaw before my hubby & Dad got to it. Hubs said it tasted like a salad which I thought was a good thing. Vinegar-based? I don't know really because I didn't taste it - since I dislike all coleslaw. My dad ate most of it since we told him it was part of his meal and he doesn't like to waste food. Plus, my dad eats all his veggies! Well, we gave it a try. Would we try it again? It was an adults' Yes ... 2 out of 3 votes. Prices are fair for the amount of food. Plus, it's free delivery on DoorDash (trial period). And, the catfish is worth going back for. Unanimous 4 votes for 2 Thumbs Up on the catfish! YUM! Wish I had ordered 2 of them (the 3-Piece Catfish Dinner) with more catfish on the side and fries! Ha. Next time, we can try to dine in or just order takeout/delivery, so I'll update this 3.5 stars review. (Rounded up. )

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by one of the sweetest hosts, who made us feel genuinely welcome. We had made a reservation, and our table was ready immediately, making for a smooth and stress-free start to our meal. I would highly recommend making a reservation at least a day in advance--two days if you're visiting on a weekend or during peak travel times. It was clear this place is popular, and for good reason. Our server, Cody, truly made the experience unforgettable. Hands down, he is the best server I've ever had anywhere. He took the time to thoroughly walk us through the menu, explain the daily specials, answer all of our questions, and offer recommendations based on what we were looking for. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and genuine hospitality elevated our entire dining experience. We ordered the pancakes, omelets, and of course, the famous biscuits. The biscuits absolutely deserve the hype! They were warm, buttery, fluffy, and practically melted in your mouth. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious, and the omelets were cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. One thing I really appreciated is that while Loveless Cafe offers a supper menu in the evenings, breakfast is served all day. That's perfect for anyone like me who believes breakfast tastes good no matter what time it is! It's easy to see why Loveless Cafe has become such a Nashville staple. Between the warm Southern hospitality, outstanding service, and incredible food, this was an experience we'll be talking about long after breakfast. If you're visiting Nashville, or even if you're a local who hasn't been yet, put Loveless Cafe at the top of your list. And if you're lucky enough to have Cody as your server, you're in for an exceptional experience!

We asked to sit on the patio ( 8 of us) and were promptly seated and ordered drinks. When our waitress Zoey brought the drinks, she accidentally dumped the entire tray on my head! Pineapple juice, water and soda. I had ice and liquid dripping down my head and in my lap. I wasn't mad... Accidents happen... but she never actually apologized! She mumbled a quiet "oh sorry" then went off to get new drinks. She didn't try to clean the mess off the table, or the floor, or my chair, nor did she bring us any towels! We used all the napkins on the table cleaning it up ourselves... then when our food came we had to ask for more napkins for our meal. She never acknowledged the mess or tried to make amends of any kind for what happened. At the end of the meal she dropped the check with the automatic 18% gratuity because we were a party of 8. The lack of concern really bothered us after we left so we dropped back by a few hours later and my sister went to talk to a manager, who was extremely kind and apologetic, and even offered to pay for dry cleaning (which wasn't necessary but it was a very nice gesture) so apparently the waitress never even told a manager what had happened! We were going to the museum after and to visit the navy ship in town after lunch, but instead first we had to go back to her house and I had to shower and rewash and dry my hair before we could go anywhere, wasting an hour of our family time together. I'm not looking for anything except an apology and acknowledgment that it was a pretty messed up thing that happened. And had that manager known about it and would've stopped by the table with a sincere apology, I wouldn't even be writing this review. Anyway, rant over. The food was delicious and I will eat here again when visiting my sister, but only with a different waitress.
