I wish I caught the name of the gentleman working there in the blue polo he was so polite friendly and professional. He communicated the slush machine would need a few extra minutes to refresh itself and thoughtfully brought our food out. He asked if we wanted water while we waited for our drink which I thought was very kind. You don't often get such friendly positive service at fast food places and this was my first time trying a checkers on my trip to Buffalo so I really enjoyed my meal! I hope someone from there sees this positive review and gives him credit, he was average height slim Caucasian with earrings and brown hair and I wish I asked his name!

Much less complicated then nearby chess, this place is pretty cool if you like fast food. I don't like fast food so I would no longer eat here.. but when I used to eat a lot of fast food Checkers was one of my favorites. The Chicken sandwiches and burgers are decent and cheap. In retrospect I'm not sure why because the food is pretty bland, but if you like fast food, try them. I think their milkshakes are okay but I shared one with a milkshake tasting friend and she said they are sickeningly disgusting and overly sweet. Then again so am I.

Well butter my nut and call me a squash, but I found a fast food restaurant worthy of the fifth star. I've passed by this place dozens of times, only having stopped in once before for a mindblowingly creamy banana milkshake, but it was gorgeous outside, and we decided to make the leg tinglingly long trek to burn up an appetite for dinner. By the time we had arrived it was 8pm, and the front foor was blocked by a signboard. We were afraid they were closed earlier than their generous 2am shutdown. Luckily they were just redirecting traffic to the side door instead of through the handrailed front steps. We gawked at the menu, complete with reasonable prices and calorie counts. There was a paper copy, and signs posted for tempting deals like ice cream floats. We agreed to eat in, and the cashier gave us a table marker to designate our table for delivery, despite us being the only two opting to eat in (at no extra cost, as designated on the receipt). There were many employees about, with one seeming to juggle the drivethru and front register, which had a convenient screen to read your order for errors. Another had ran the food out to a customer's car in the lot. Guess not everyone is a fan of classical music and cool air flow. We had only waited a few minutes for the food, with our treats tailing almost immediately after. Despite the promptness, it didn't feel premade, as if everything was being made fresh. The fries were crunchy and peppery. My friend said they were definitely better than normal fries, so I tore a nibble off to try. I suggested that we get a bag of their retail frozen fries, but we both came to the conclusion that fresh outta the restaurant fries can't be beat. He flashed the inside of the burger to see it was made with the works: ketchup, mustard, pickles and cheese, before snapping it shut and taking a bite. He noted that it wasn't dry, nor greasy, just high end fast food at low end prices. His cherry slushie drink was not insanely sugary, which made it mildly refreshing. As we walked home in the summer heat it took a while to melt, as it was great at retaining its cold, no Thermos necessary. I personally had come to eat ice cream, because I am indeed a glutton, and opted for the strawberry cheesecake stacker. The cream was thick and tasted like it was named. I dug around it for the vanilla ice cream and strawberry syrup to have my spoon hit multiple bits of red gold, big chunks of real berries buried in the still crunchy graham cracker layers. Sure, the cup is petite, but it packs an appropriately sized punch without overwhelming you with enough cavities to make your dentist cry. I made a pit stop in the bathroom to wash my hands. The dryer feels like a mini tornado's worth of wind sucking your hands dry, and there is a changing table for all your diaper needs (or to put your bag on instead of the floor, even though it is really clean). At the bottom of the receipt there is a survey that'll earn you a free sandwich with the purchase of a drink. I would have done it and come back to try the double fish sandwich, but the trash had been disposed of in my absence. Not that I need a coupon to be convinced to come back.

Nice atmosphere and clean! Came here because we saw it on undercover boss and we always wanted to try it. My daughter and I both got just the Checker burger with cheese because we wanted to split a large fully loaded fries. My husband got the big Buford. We needed his help in finishing the fries! they were delicious! My husband and I both ordered a banana shake my daughter had a blue raspberry slushy my husband said his burger was delicious. I think they're comparable with Burger King for taste my burger was really tasty too. All fresh ingredients lettuce tomatoes onions. Just the right amount of mayonnaise ketchup and mustard. They also delivered it to our table which I thought was really nice. By watching how they are treating other customers too- they are definitely very customer oriented. Will definitely come back!

My husband says, "Not bad." Lol Aside from that glowing review, I have to say that the food is pretty darn good. Much closer to Five Guys burger quality than McDonalds. The double Checkerburger is 2 for $5 and a solid deal. Delicious and fresh. My husband opted for the fully loaded fries. They were a bit much for me, but the plain fries were FANTASTIC. They are nicely spiced, and heavy on the black pepper. The outside is perfectly crispy, and the inside is fluffy and soft. I would have to say the best take out fries I have had in a long time. The people were very friendly, even when I said that they should go to hell for selling funnel cakes year round. :^D They have a drive through if you are in a rush, and getting in and out of the parking lot is not too bad. Overall, a great, quick dinner.

Stopped in here to get a sandwich for my dad, young gentleman at the register was very kind and talked me through the menu to better help me figure out which sandwich to get. He ensured my order was sizzling fresh and did it all with a smile! They do have a large menu, I recommend looking online before going there so you know what you want. Store was relatively clean and the other employees seemed pleasant as well. I didn't taste the food but my dad enjoyed it, and the customer service was excellent!

I love Checkers. My husband and I just moved from San Diego, CA and we had Checkers there. We loved it there and are happy to have found one here! Apparently it's new, just in time for our arrival! I mean it's a greasy burger joint. So if you're into that, I think you'll like it! There seasoned fries and apple pies are amazing! Did that rhyme? I like the fish sandwich and my husband likes the Baconzilla. They have A LOT of deals! 4 items for $3 and sorts of other deals! They also have good milkshakes! They offer delivery on an app called ZUKAK. Try it out for yourself!

They even give out promotions, I got a free fry for spending 15.00 via the kiosk, which was easy to do as there burgers average about that price. Three burgers (doubles) with the free fry was 40.00 bucks. The smash burgers are very good, cooked perfect with great seasoning. The bun to burger ratio is off, the burgers are way bigger than the buns! I did get a bunless burger. The service was great the ladies behind the counter were working there butts off with a smile. The fires were delicious, crispy and seaosned, I love a good crinkle fry!!

I arrived with my son for dinner on a Tuesday night and was able to use a kiosk right away. The system was user-friendly but there wasn't an option to add extra bacon (for the extra bacon orderers out there). We grabbed a number to dine in and found our table. The dining room was clean, and all but one table was bussed, which is not bad by any restaurant's standards. Our food was brought to our table in probably 7 minutes. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with crispy onions and my son got the chicken sandwich with the herb mayo. For sides, we got the spicy fries and onion rings. I grabbed some napkins from the plentiful (and full) dispensers located near the shelves by the front counter. Wow. These were the best meals we'd each had in some time. My son said it was literally the best chicken sandwich he's ever eaten, enough to want to be the one to write the review in the feedback survey sent to me via text. A teenage boy wanting to write a food review should tell you something. And just look at my burger. Looking like the star it was. Basking in the sunlight during golden hour. Made perfectly and was as good as it looked, if not, better. It was juicy, and cooked perfectly. The little sleeve that my burger came in was not my favorite. It served its purpose but I may have preferred it being lightly wrapped in one of those foil lined papers. The sides were perfect as well. Crispy, fresh onion rings, that were nice thick slices of onion. The spicy fries were nice and crispy too, and weren't your standard cajun. The shakes for dessert were delicious and tasted like real ice cream. I can't speak highly enough about the service on our visit. The young lady, unprompted, refilled our drinks at least 2 or 3 times during our meal and even offered to refill our drinks before we left. We ordered our shakes to go, after our meal and she continued being attentive! When she saw we had another table number, she checked in on us and asked what we ordered so we weren't waiting too long. My only contention is the price. It is more expensive than fast food by a bit. However, in my opinion, Shake Shack shouldn't be judged alongside McDonald's but more Five Guys in the middle ground between fast food and casual sit-down. But that being said, based on this experience, Shake Shack beats any other burger chain, by a long shot.

The second you walk in, you immediately smell the real hardwood lump charcoal they've been grilling over since they first started in the late 1920s, and you can actually watch them cook your food to order (which I love). The place oozes a casual backyard BBQ energy, and it feels like an old school Buffalo institution that might no longer be in its heyday, but it clearly still has a hardcore group of local fans. It was confusing as first time diners to figure out how it all works. First, you go in and place your order with the person behind the grill. The nice lady immediately started grilling our meats. Next comes the toppings that can be customized, and then any additional side orders. You pay, get your food, and seat yourself. The dining room is clean but delightfully frozen in time, looking very late-'70s retro in a way that feels exactly right. The seating is old, dingy, and uncomfortable, so this isn't a restaurant where you'd want to sit and linger. Food-wise, this is definitely a spot for beef and sausage lovers. If you're not into that, fair warning: my grilled chicken was pretty mediocre and mostly just tasted like charcoal (which some people might love, but it wasn't doing much for me). The flavor was exactly like what I'd eat when my Uncle would break out the charcoal grill in the backyard during my childhood. The smell and taste brought back pleasant memories, but I guess I'm so used to gas grills or wood grills now that charcoal seems so dated. Meanwhile, my husband's sausage on a bun absolutely stole the show. His was loaded with grilled onions, juicy, smoky, and genuinely drool-worthy. I was a little jealous just looking at it. If you eat sausages, I would recommend ordering that here. There's not a lot for non-red meat eaters, and certainly this isn't the place for vegetarians! Despite my disappointing chicken breast, there were plenty of wins. The buns were especially soft and delicious, and I loved the fresh leaf lettuce and tomato on my sandwich. The produce tasted fresh and bright and wasn't wilted at all, which genuinely surprised me. We split the half-and-half side (which was half fries and half onion rings). The fries were nothing noteworthy, but the onion rings were the real star. Get those crispy, flavorful rings and thank me later! Also, shoutout to the two free pickles on the side, which is a small touch that equalled big happiness. There's also a self-serve soda fountain with free refills of Pepsi products! I'm glad I spotted Ted's and decided to stop in. I couldn't resist the old school exterior, and I can see why this continues to stay in business (despite it not being crowded at all the night we dined there). It might not be the best pick if you're avoiding beef or sausage, but it's still a fun, very Buffalo place to try. Between the smoky grill, the retro atmosphere, and those killer onion rings, it feels like a local rite of passage. I'm glad we did it.

The high-rise crust is my favorite cause it gets a little less floppy and holds all the weight of the toppings better. Because you can get as many toppings as you'd like, why not load it up? The service here is usually pretty quick and they have a good system of getting you through the line and baking the pizza is pretty fast too. I was able to order a couple of pizzas and get them home before they cooled down. The one downside i found at this visit was the drink station. The lids for the cups were all stuck together and a pain to get apart. There was a few drinks out on the machine and it just seemed like a little bit of a forgotten area. Unfortunately, something has changed over the past two years, and this location has noticeably declined. The service is now slow and inattentive. Employees tend to ignore customers waiting in line, moving without any sense of urgency and appearing unsure of their responsibilities. On my most recent visit, I brought a friend who had never been to Blaze. We arrived shortly after opening to find only two customers ahead of us. Despite the light traffic, employees walked around flattening dough and looking lost, with no one stepping up to take orders. After several minutes, a young woman finally approached and got us started. They completed the orders for the two customers ahead of us, then shifted to what appeared to be online orders, leaving us waiting again. When they eventually got to us, one employee worked carefully and methodically -- the pizzas were well-made -- but the pace was very slow. I then stood at the register for several more minutes before anyone came to take payment. Throughout the entire visit, the overall impression was that in-person customers are simply not a priority. The pizza itself was delicious, though our two orders came out separately despite being made back-to-back. The dining area also needs attention. There is debris collected in the corners and food crumbs left on the chairs. I did notice they finally fixed the giant tear in one of the booth cushions. That was an improvement over my last visit. Blaze makes a great product, but the experience at this location needs significant improvement. I am sad to say this will likely be my last visit.
