The food was terrible. I ordered a big Bruford and a checker burger for late night delivery. The delivery came one time like it said, but the food looked as though it had been sitting there and they gave me someone else's old burger, the lettuce, and the toppings on the sandwich, you could tell it was old and the bread just broke apart when I picked up the sandwich to buy the worst burgers I ever had. Oof. I don't post reviews ever, but this Checkers is a different kind of mismanaged. Y'all I recommend not coming here, I ordered some wings and after taking a long time, which in itself isn't too bad I don't mind waiting a bit if they are short staffed, they told me to pull around and wait for the wings. They proceed to serve multiple customers in front of me and at this point I have been in line for closer to an hour. The guy in the car behind me, gets out of his car and knocks on the window and asks for them to hurry it up. At this point I have been watching them working on the inside from the window and the girl taking payments for the most part just sat there staring off into space, once she saw the guy behind me at the window she proceeded to make the wings in about 30 seconds. What was I waiting there for? Absolutely no reason at all. I also ordered a Sunday and the ice cream was close to liquid. I know they saw me there waiting, but they did not care. Also this place looked a little dirty on the inside and the windows definitely needed to be cleaned. Seriously y'all save yourself the money and time, this checkers ain't it. OK a Checker's is just a Checkers right? Well, it may all look the same but this location lacks a little customer service. Grant it that there were many cars in line to order and all, but at the window service, expect to wait. I ordered the double fish meal today. The food was as expected but I can't stress out enough to tell you that if you plan on eating at their outdoor tables, *DO NOT drop a single crumb!!! The seagulls come from all direction to dive and try to swoop at the crumb plus your food from your hands! Heck I was worried that one of those flying torpedoes were to dump a messy splat on me or even take off with my coworker in tow. After ordering, we had to wait in the drive-thru for 20-minutes. My party had three people who ordered. I did not receive my order at all! And, another person in my party did not receive all of their order. I spent $34, but only received $25 worth of food. My bad was handed to me and I was told, "That's everything." Well ... it certainly was not. This visit was so disappointing, I will not be back to this Checkers ever again. BEWARE: Check your full order regardless of how much food you requested. You always end up parking and waiting for your food, which at least means you get it hot. Although it's still not usually correct.. Make sure you always check your bags before leaving the parking lot! Last time I went there I had to go back up to the window and the manager was too busy ranting about how all these people speeding by need to crash and die to answer the walk up window! No joke, wishing people would die while people are in the drive through at the window! After I knocked 3 or 4 times she literally slammed the window open which such force I'm surprised it didn't break, screaming what!? Then continued on her rant. Went on a Sunday night at 12:30 am when they close at 3 am, the lady said "we're temporarily closed because of the delivery truck" when asked how long they said "all night." 2 1/2 hours is exaggerated and unnecessary, it's just lazy on their part. Not much on fast food but was told checkers at least had "real tasting" meat so I tried this place late night. Burger/meat tasted pretty good BUT the service was HORRIBLE. Not knowing what comes standard on their burgers I asked for all the veggies plus ketchup and mustard..pretty simple right? The annoyed drive through woman repeated it back to me incorrectly as ketchup mustard and no veggies. I corrected her, got my total, and pulled up to window. She again confirmed my order as ketchup, mustard and no veggies at which time I corrected her AGAIN politely of the order because I've seen what service providers can do to food. She rolled her eyes and mumbled something to the line cook and walked away from the window. She gave me a dirty look as she gave me my change which made me want to just drive off because again I know what can happen when vengeful people serve food but I waited hoping the cooks had a better attitude. A man with dreadlocks comes to the window with my food. He shoves the bag out the window with a nasty look on his face like I inconvenienced him with my request and didn't reply when I said thank you. I had to check my food for any tampering because the attitudes I encountered in the drive through made me EXTREMELY nervous about what might be in my food. I used to be a server and understand the hours and the job aren't glamorous or even decent at times but PLEASE don't let your staff take out their aggression on customers. I will NEVER go back to this location because there are too many places to choose from and I don't deserve the negativity when I'm spending my money in your establishment. read more
