They will haunt your dreams until you satisfy the craving. No joke. Checkers is hard to get to if you're going to park and eat. If that's the case, I recommend parking a little farther away and walking. They have a walk-up window and a few patio tables for those wishing to take this route. If you do drive thru, they have not one, but two lanes! I usually drive thru alone, so i don't get to take advantage of the second lane which has the pick up window on the passenger side. The food is pretty quality and the price point is super reasonable. They also have tons of promotions to get multiple items for even cheaper! Yay! 11/10 will return for the FRIES! read more

I've always loved to come here when working in the area. They have a great selection of finger foods as well as burgers. Their fries are to die for. I had never in my life been to a Checkers but I had read on Yelp that the fries were really good. After a work out, I made my way there for my treat. I just got a kids' hamburger meal to share, trying to watch portions. The fries really were good! They were served HOT and fresh, had a crunchy coating on them but this did not take away from the potato taste. Peppery but not spicy. The hamburger was good too. I loved the soft, seeded bun, sour pickle and the fact that they do not goop a lot of condiments on it. Included on the side was neon sour gummy worms! LOL! No toy in the meal, oh well! The wait in the drive thru with just one vehicle ahead of us was a bit long but it would not prevent me from going back another time to try out something else. read more

I had ordered food from here the other day for my coworker and myself. She ordered their fry lovers burger and a side of fries, I got their Chicken Bites and Mozzarella sticks. Her burger was DRENCHED in only mustard, and was cold even though it was "just made". The fries were mushy and cold as well. My chicken bites were, somehow, burnt and ICE cold, as though they had been sitting out for hours. The cheese sticks were dripping in oil, flimsy, and... you guessed it, cold. I was so dissatisfied and disappointed, because I had only heard good things about Checkers in the past but this was disgusting. I can't imagine a scenario where I will ever go back, and I certainly do not recommend this place. read more

Before Checkers, we used to go to Rally's off California. Not alot of people frequent this Checkers location. I'm speculating that only people that live on this side of Bikersfield know about it. Checkers has amazing food, burgers and more. They practically have a variety of items folks would be suprised to see on their menu, like hotdogs, chili dogs, popcorn chicken, slushes, stuffed patties, boneless & classic wings and mozzarella sticks. All at great prices and deals. The food is good and the workers are pleasant, well most are, unfortunately there are some that are questionable and if you visit and catch one you'll see for yourself. We stop here about every two weeks. We love the burgers and chicken sandwich. I think the thing we like the most is that it's affordable. I can feed the whole family for $20. I'm not a big fries guy, but I like these. I eat about 4 or 5 of these. LOL. I haven't tried anything else but the burgers, so I can't give any opinions on anything else. Checkers is a hit or miss. I constantly have to check my food every single time I go because there's always something wrong or missing. The food is good when it's done correctly! My husband and I love eating here for the great price BUT one time we had gotten their boneless wings. Drove all the way home. (15 min drive home) and while we were eating the wings, my pregnant ass realized the wings were RAW. Purple raw! Only cooked for like 3 mins raw. My husband already ate one whole raw boneless wing and we had to drive all the way back for NO REFUND. I just thought that was ridiculous. So unprofessional. Honestly I could go here just for the fries. They are always good with their batter and seasoning, unlike a lot of other fast food places. The food is very consistent and I like the choices. On another note they are always offering some kind of deals which makes it about the best option when wanting to get some fast food for cheap. For example today I got a chicken bite box with fries and basically popcorn chicken for $2 and a small combo meal for $3 with a cheese burger, fries, drink and an apple pie.... total cost of meal was $5.35 !!!!!! It's literally hit or miss as someone else in the comment section pointed out. Pre pandemic and some during pandemic it was always solid and great customer service undeniably great. Checkers was literally a model for fast food sevice with EXCELLENT FOOD excellent prices and fresh hot food with amazing customer service and fast customer service. I haven't gone often since I got bad experiences in a row and the very last time was okay but it's a complete shame how far the great checkers has fallen. I've driven past this place plenty of times and noticed the cute 50's style look of the place with it's black and white checkered outside with red accents. It made me think of movies like American Graffiti and roller skating waitresses, but I never got around to trying it before now. Wow! I had no idea what I'd been missing out on for so long. I knew it was a burger place - and the burgers are pretty decent - but it's the fries that are the star of the show for me! Their seasoned fries are shaped like everyone else's standard fries, but instead of just shaking seasoning salt on them, they appear almost as if they were covered with some type of seasoned breading or coating before being fried. The seasoning is good, but it's the difference in texture that seems to make these fries stand out from the rest! It's almost like their secret ingredient is crack! I kept thinking about these fries for DAYS after I'd been here. On my next visit, I opted to try the chicken wings. I don't think I'd ever had wings from a fast food place that wasn't completely dedicated to chicken preparation before, so I wasn't really expecting much. Honestly, it was just an excuse to back and try those fries again! I detest boring bland wings, so I ordered the "angry buffalo" wings and was pleasantly surprised. They were pleasantly tangy with a little bit of a bite to them. I didn't find them hot enough to require a dip in the accompanying ranch dressing dip, but then my personal philosophy is "If it isn't spicy enough too completely clear out your sinuses, then what's the point?" so the rest of you may find these on the hot side. I dipped the last one into the ranch dip just out of curiosity, but wasn't a big fan of it. I found it too bland, but then maybe that's what people are looking for to counterpoint the spiciness of the wings. I found the wings to have an ample amount of meat on each one, and they were quite tender, too! The burger, nothing fancy, relise heavily on condiments to make taste good. But for the price, there is no way they are busting out high grade beef. I can't believe I have lived life so long without going to this place. Checkers is delicious. It is a drive up or drive thru fast food joint that offers a wide variety of products. They have burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches. There are a few different types of dessert, including a little funnel cake. Awesome! I love the seasoning on the fries and they are always cooked to perfection. The burgers are slightly cheaper than its competitors and much more flavorful. The only thing is the drive thru usually takes quite a while and the customer service is either fantastic or crap, there is no in between really. All in all, it's one of our go to places for fast food now. read more

They are actually pretty good, flavorful, really well priced and they offer a few really good flavors. So far we have tried and recommend the angry buffalo, medium classic, honey bbq and garlic parmesan. They have orders up to 40 piece wings.
