First impression, the place is very clean and the owner/servers are very very helpful about walking you through the menu. I did not read about this place in advance so I was greeted by surprise when they presented their menu. Protein cheesecakes, WHAT?! Also, the doughnuts had nutrition labels on it. I was initially suspicious but realised, the concept was pretty good after tasting their cookie dough. I purchased a Banana Nutella Cheesecake and could taste the protein in it, but hey! I am not complaining. I loved what I tasted. Not a big fan of all the sugary desserts we get in markets and I always end up making my own desserts at home with less sugar. I really want to love this place. I have been here 4 different times and I would say 1 out of 4 times has been a good experience. The positive time I got 2 donuts and they were great. The other 3 times the baked goods have been dry. I have to say I was up vomiting last night after having the protein cheesecake, and no one else in my party got sick and I was the only one to get that item...so I have to pin it on the cheesecake. In my opinion they have too many sku's and are most likely leaving things out for too long, hence the dryness and bad cheesecake. They need to narrow their sku's down and focus on freshness. I have not tried their milkshakes so I cannot speak to those. Hopefully we can see some improvement here because I love the idea and there are not many places around like this. read more

Awesome bakery! You must try! We've been several times and have tried many menu items. I originally found this place looking for vegan cakes for my Mom's birthday a year ago she loved the vegan carrot cake and we returned again for Mother's Day! We have gone several times and have never been disappointed. My fiance loves the cookies and my favorite is the berry cheesecake it's so delicious! The people are always professional and very nice. Five stars for awesome service with a smile but 3 stars for the actual treats. I got the protein Oreo cheesecake and Reese's cookie. The cheesecake was alright. Sadly, I prefer the Cheesecake Factory's low carb, to this one. I wanted to support local businesses though. I cannot stress this enough: you need to list your ingredients and macro counts on your "protein" items! This will help customers tremendously, especially those who do count macros, or even those who are just curious and trying to maintain a certain daily caloric intake. The protein cookie tasted awful. It was sadly almost $7. A huge rip off for what you get: flavorless cardboard. I want this place to survive and take off but they have a lot of work to do! You can tell there is passion and it's an awesome idea, but the actual desserts do not live up to the fantasy shown on their website. We went in and were immediately greeted and the staff gave us a walk through of their offerings. We were offered a sample of the edible cookie dough which was good, and then bought two slices of keto cheesecake. Peanut butter and coconut were both great. Crust is almond flour based, and they both are high-protein. (19g/slice) ($11). For eat-in, they plate it and do a lovely drizzle and whipped cream. They also have keto cookies. The ?owner? also fed and gave water to two different homeless guys who came in during the short time we were there. Since I have been on keto nearly a year, I was excited to find a bakery with keto friendly items. However when we arrived, they didn't have anything but a box of cookies for keto diets. We saw the owner in the back and told him we were disappointed that we're couldn't try the keto cheesecake. He said he had one in the back. Hallelujah. Ordered that, got a box of cookies and espresso. Cheesecake was delicious. I would buy a whole one. Took the cookies home for later. Gotta say, disappointed in the cookies. I was, unfortunately, quite disappointed in Cheat Treats. We drove 20 minutes to go here after seeing the gorgeous Instagram photos... & I feel somewhat taste catfished. When I sampled the "healthy" cookie dough I went in under the impression that the taste would resemble cookie dough... which was probably my own fault. Instead, it tasted like sand & stevia with some chalky black chunks disguised as chocolate imposters. After being repulsed by the cookie dough, i settled on an açaí bowl while my boyfriend ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake. Our total came to $18.... quite a steep price for two items, but worth it if they satisfied. Unfortunately they did not. The açaí bowl was pretty much a smoothie poured into a bowl with some bananas & crusty granola-esque chips on top. The milkshake was so gross we could not even drink more than a sip of it: it tasted like pure milk & stevia & made my stomach churn. If you're looking to spend $20 to wait 30 minutes for two below average- albeit instagrammable-treats, this place is for you. If you're looking for something to satisfy your tastebuds & not just your eyeballs, find somewhere else. read more

The friendliest staff! Me and my 1 year old are dairy-intolerant and there were so many vegan options for us. We had a piece of monster cookie cake. It was delicious -- didn't taste vegan -- I even double checked because it was so good! My husband had a sprinkle donut and mocha cap milkshake and he said they were delicious! I also had a juice and almost got a second to go! The owner gave my son a cookie when I told him he couldn't have dairy and it was warm from the oven! Got their fruit loop cereal shake, and reminded me a lot of NYC's MILK Bar cereal shake - the milkshake gold standard for me and by which I judge every milkshake. Looooved my visit to Cheat Treats. I was welcomed with a smile by the women working the front counter, she may have been the mother of the owner, who was also in the back working to make delicious goodies, so I love that this is also a family and locally owned joint. The first thing she asked me is if I have been in before, and because it was my first trip she offered me a taste test of an edible cookie dough flavor of my choice. It was a delightful surprise and a really enjoyed the taste of the reeses cookie dough. I would have loved to get more but I was coming in more for a quick bite rather then a dessert. Next time I go it will be for dessert and I will fill up on the cookie dough. I love the concept of this place and love, you can have some yummy treats and not feel too guilty about it. I had seen them post pictures of their acia bowls on social media, so I really came in to try the bowls, but couldn't leave without some treats to try later. I grabbed the oreo donut, resees donut, sprinkles cookie, and smores cookie. Everything was PERFECT. The donuts weren't much different then a cake donut, which is awesome when he is making them with better ingredients, and the toppings were again perfect. I would say the toppings were the difference with the donuts, the actual donut flavor didn't vary. The cookies were my favorite part. You could definetly tell they were made with better ingredients but they were still soft and chewy. The smores cookie was my highlight. Didn't care for their acai bowls - little too sweet for my taste, but my daughter loves em so I make sure to get her one when I go in. Cheesecake took a little getting used to if you are new to the protein gig but overall very good. Doughnuts are very eye appealing but eat more like a cake and can be dry depending on when you buy them. They also sit kind of heavy. The brownies however are truly orgasmic! Especially the oreo, which they seem to sell out of the quickest. Now you would think that since it sells the quickest they would make more of it than the others, but nope that's not how they roll. It takes me anywhere from 20 minutes to a half hour to get to them. So rather than drive down there only to find out they were sold out (which I have done), I started calling them to find out if they had them. Every time I called, I was told they were out, but they should have some in the next day or two. So I finally got smart on my last call on Friday. Kinda felt like I was getting the bum's rush when I called, but I persisted and when the gentleman on the other end of the line said he might be making some later that day and should have them in the evening, I asked if I could have 4 set to the side for me to pick up on Saturday. He said sure and sounded like he was ready to end the call. I said great my name is blah blah (and I spelled it for him), I'll see you Saturday in the morning. Well, I forgot I was going to be working out in Novi, so I made arrangements for my mom and daughter to go and pick them up for me. Even sent my daughter a text this morning telling her if they had extras to add 2 more to my order. Well guess what --- They didn't make them! And to top that off - they told my daughter that it was my fault because I didn't tell them when I was going to be in or call them back to make sure they had them. Hello, what does your going to be making them later on Friday mean? Or I'll be in Saturday morning mean? Oh, you wanted a specific time that I would be in, well shouldn't you have asked me that when I called on Friday? So I wish them the best of luck, but since it doesn't appear they need my business, I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. We drove from Madison heights to get some keto-friendly treats, that were raved about in reviews. When we got there I asked about their keto items, and they only had one flavor of keto cheesecake and no keto cookies available. Very disappointing. When I asked about the nutrition facts, the man behind the counter told me "for the cookies you need to go online, for the cheesecake it's the same as the regular cheesecake but with almond flour... and I couldn't tell you the carbs off the top of my head." He didn't offer to look it up after I mentioned that when counting carbs i needed to, and everyone else on keto, know the exact nutrition facts. If you're going to sell "diet/allergen- friendly" items, I expect you to have the nutrition facts ready and available. I left after driving 45 minutes in traffic, disappointed and unable to eat the cheesecake I purchased until I can dig up the nutrition facts. The cookies my husband and kids got were rock hard and not worth the $1.60 each that we paid for the average sized treats. The prices are outrageous. $16 for two tiny slices of cheesecake and three child sized cookies.... no thanks. read more

First time and I'll probably give them another try. I've been searching for an açaí bowl since trying one on my vacation in Cali so when I saw they had açaí bowls I couldn't wait to try. I ordered the piñata colada açaí bowl. I received a piñata colada smoothie with granola, banana, coconut and I added strawberry's.
