I love Bober Tea for their drinks and mochi donuts. What really got me was their surprise cups with a mini Hello Kitty plush in it. You buy a drink and they put it in a surprise cup with the toy on the bottom. It's supposed to be a surprise, but I cheated and asked for the Hello Kitty ones. I've been here twice and both times got the surprise cups. It was around $12 for the drink and toy in the cup. The first time I got the brown sugar creme brûlée milk tea and it was overly sweet. The second time I got the strawberry green tea chizu drink and I loved it. This place also sells mochi donuts. I got a box of three for $7. I chose Cookie Monster, strawberry wafer and black sesame. They were all good, but black sesame was my favorite. All of their donuts are baked in house. The shop is gorgeous and decorated in pink and white. It's made for photo ops. They have swings, a wall full of hearts and plastic flowers hanging from the ceiling to the walls. If you come on Tuesday it's $2 for a mochi donut with the purchase of a drink. They also don't sell their donuts individually unless you're doing the $2 Tuesday promo. The minimum is a box of three.

Bubble tea is pretty good, the mochi Donuts are a hit and miss because sometimes they are not cooked all the way.. the scenery is so cute but the prices are not worth it so I choose to only come here once and awhile. I do like they have the add on cups to put your drinks in but even them are over priced.

Stopped in here for some delicious boba tea and some mochi donuts! They go by a different name now, Mochi Dough, if I recall correctly. The cashier was friendly and polite. They have rotating flavors of doughnuts to choose from depending on the day. The boba tea was spot on -it was perfectly flavored with sweet brown sugar boba, and the size was perfect. This location has some very photogenic spots for selfies with friends or partners. Would definitely go back!

The churro was my absolute favorite, and the texture is unmatched. The interior is so cute, colorful, and inviting. I love that you order on the kiosk, although being asked to tip multiple times before checking out was highly annoying.

The place is super cute. I love the conversation hearts and the flowers hanging around. They have swings in the front window. The staff were very nice and helpful. I ordered the taro bobber tea but they had run out of taro so I had to change my order to hazelnut tea which was very sweet. The mochi donuts were cute and tasty.

This is my first time back at Mochi Dough/Bober Tea since the Troy location opened up and I'm glad I tried out this location in Dearborn because it was so different! I'm convinced that these can't be owned by the same people given how drastically different both the interior decor and the donuts themselves were. These donuts tasted way better, like they used proper mochi flour, rather than being mixed with wheat flour as well, but please don't take my word for it and double check whether or not these ones are gluten free or not - they just take significantly more mochi texture like than the ones I had at Troy. They had a lot of the same flavors, but the flavors are constantly rotating as well so it'll always be fun to check them out from week to week. This location is overwhelmingly "Instagrammable" in almost a terrifying way haha. It's just super pink, super fake flowers and greenery everywhere, neon signs, swings, etc. so I was definitely nervous upon coming in here given how normally places that are super Instagrammable then lack a lot of substance when it comes to their food. Happy to report Mochi Dough does not fall prey to that! The ordering system was nice, you order at the kiosks along the wall - there's two of them, so during busier times I'm sure it'll be a bit of a wait. Then if you ordered a pack of donuts, they'll call your name and you tell them which flavors you want live rather than on the kiosk. My friends and I got the blueberry crunch, birthday cake, taro, and black sesame (the last of which was an on-the-house add-on from the person who packaged our donuts up - thank you!! My favorite is the black sesame - it's so deeply rich and flavorful, which is strongly contrasted by the taro donut, which is barely flavored. I still have yet to try the Bober Tea drinks, so I can't speak to that as a boba aficionado quite yet, but just from observation, I don't like that they both seal the cup with the plastic wrap you normally see with a boba drink, but then inexplicably put a dome lid on top of it as well like it's a slurpee. I don't know how wild you're getting with your drink, but the double lids are unnecessary! Shake your drink well before you puncture it and then swirl the rest with your straw as you drink it down! I'll definitely be back to this location soon and it's a great thing as well because it's located within walking distance from my friend's house and right on the corner of Michigan Ave in downtown Dearborn - great location, love it!

Stopped by to grab some mochi dough nuts for the crew, because it's Friday after all. Grabbed two boxes of donuts for my sugar loving team. Got the churro and the funnel cake. Tried them both, a chewier donut with the rice flour. Wasn't too bad. My team really enjoyed them.

Just checking in for an update on the Pink Haze drink and their gingerbread cheesecake mochi donut. Pink Haze IS the moment for my real coffee lovers: strong Vietnamese iced coffee, pink SALTY cream, and a dusting of cocoa. I added fried brown sugar boba and something new for me- crystal boba- because, duh! The texture baby! The salt from the cream really brings out the coffee flavors, and brings a salty contrast to a sweet donut. I FEEL like I'm getting caffeine because I can really taste the coffee. As a standalone, know that you WILL taste the salt. I'm cool with that, but it might not be for everyone. As far as the gingerbread cheesecake mochi donut, it's heavy on the cheesecake profile and lighter on the gingerbread. There's a cookie crumble on top and darling little gingerbread sprinkles, but they're mostly for texture and the idea of gingerbread... in reality, this tastes like a sweet donut with vanilla icing. I'm a gingerbread girl, so I would've been super pleased with more spice. It's fun. Not a must try, but surely festive. I can always go nuts for donuts :)

Ordered a dozen "doughnuts" and was pretty disappointed in the overall taste and value. You can tell a lot of effort was put in to making them look great but there wasn't much taste to the toppings. I liked the taste of the dough and the texture just not the toppings. Maybe next time I would order the plain ones. The cost was a little over the top... it cost a little over $2.50 a doughnut with toppings... there is very light glaze and no stuffings or anything. Felt it was worth a try once but not again. I haven't tried their drinks so might go back for a try but probably not for the doughnuts. The inside area was awesome. Very clean and the swings, chairs, walls, and ceilings were very cool.

For the price it is a little expensive. But, probably one of the best places to get mochi donuts in the area. Service was relatively fast too. The area was so pretty though! Flowers were hanging from the ceiling and the theme was really pretty pink! It's a great place to take photos and hang out.

Pros: Very cute shop. Employees are very friendly and greet you when entering and exiting. Cons: Over priced. $50 total for all pictured. Milk tea was average. Not bad but certainly have had better at a better price. Also, in the photo of the specialty milk teas there is boba pictured, but is not actually included in the drink. Which is mentioned in the drink description but still deceiving IMO. The doughnuts were not bad. This is my first time trying them so I do not have much to compare to. Flavor is subtle. Very cute desert but I prefer something with a bit more flavor. Overall, worth trying once for the experience, but will not become my go to for boba tea.

Bober Tea/Mochi Dough is a great addition to West Dearborn. We went on a weekend just a couple of weeks after opening and luckily there weren't too many people inside. We got: Mochi Donut - 1x Taro, 1x Mango ($3.50 Each). To be honest, the taro doesn't really have any taro taste, basically just tastes like pure icing. The mango has a definite tropical fruity flavor, but I also wouldn't really call it mango. Then again, I get mochi donuts for the texture, not for the flavors. The texture here is every bit as good as the more famous chains like MoDo and you don't need to wait in line for 1+ hours to boot. Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($5.90) - Very milky and sweet, some black tea flavor, but quite muted against the amount of sugar syrup added. I would only get 25% sweet next time, or possibly no sweet and let the brown sugar from the boba sweeten the drink instead. The boba is slightly harder than I prefer, but is among the better textures in Metro Detroit. Mung Bean Pandan Latte w/ Pink Honey Boba ($7.20) - It's super rare to find this drink in the US. The only other place I've seen that sells this drink is 7 Leaves, with most locations in California. It has a bit of expected mung bean pulp grittiness and a good amount of pandan flavor. Surprisingly, the boba was a little on the soft side in this drink. I'm happy there's finally a good boba place nearby.

Mochi Donut finally in Dearborn!!!!!! Checked this place out on a Friday evening and it was packed. I did not get the chance to try the boba teas but I did grab a box of the mochi donuts. I decided to get the 6 you pick( Biscoff, mango, funnel cake, churro, pistachio, fruit loop ) amazing donuts! Chewy/soft/fresh. Cost was around 20 including tip. The ambiance was beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. They have three swings I think that you can sit on and take pictures. Little on the pricey side but I promise you it is totally worth it. Absolutely a must visit. Cannot wait to come back. Cons: street parking not sure if they have parking behind the building. Not enough seating Pros: everything else is awesome

Ofcourse we got a picture here!!

They're fresh and perfect with coffee, tea, a big glass of milk. I picked some up for a celebration at work and everyone was excited at the site of their name stamped on the box. I also tried the croissant breakfast sandwich and it was the best I've had, aside from anything I made myself at home. It was generous in size and you could easily share. My mind went to grabbing a coffee, bite to eat and a donut when you're starting off a road trip. The egg was about 1/2" thick throughout the sandwich, ham and cheese ratio was perfect, you could taste everything in each bite. I highly recommend this donut shop for friendly, quick and quality service. Will definitely be back!

The name doesn't lie!…read more When you walk in to a donut shop at 6:30am and there are already a group of guys at the counter with their donuts and coffee, joking and bantering about the latest sports and news, you know you've come to the right place. Yum Yum is the right place, indeed. Whereas they don't focus too much on the fancy over the top donuts you see nowadays, they focus on the quality of old fashioned true-blue donuts. Yum Yum Donuts make quality donuts that stand the test of time and are better than any odd concoction some of these fancy donut places are trying too hard to achieve. I travel the country, and the world, going into different locations all year long. Whenever possible, I always try to find the best donut shop in the area. I'd rather go in empty handed than bring in any of the "fast-food" chain type of garbage donuts that many seem to flock to. I look for the real local donut shops that know how to deliver the goods. This is not only to impress, but also out of pure selfishness. I am a donut lover and connoisseur and grew up with a donut shop in my family. For this reason, I have a high bar however donuts don't have to be complicated to be good. Yum Yum Donuts hit all the marks. Selection of varieties, quality and price. Would I go back? I cannot wait to go back. Yum Yum is my go-to place for quality donuts in this area. When you bring in good donuts, people notice. Sure, people appreciate when you bring in the big chain fast-food donuts, but I have literally seen people put those donuts down when I come in with a box to two of the real deal. This is a fact. People appreciate the extra effort in bringing in the quality and showing your appreciation to them by doing so. Get some of these now, before they sell out for the day!
