From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I told them it was my first time at the range, and they took the time to explain everything, answer my questions, and help me get set up. That made a huge difference because walking into a range as a newbie can feel a little intimidating. Once I got to my lane, I was only there for about 30 minutes, but I enjoyed every minute of it. My confidence definitely grew, and I left feeling way more comfortable than when I walked in. Overall, great first experience. Friendly staff, helpful guidance, and a welcoming environment for beginners. I'm looking forward to coming back for more practice -- and this time, I promise I won't wait another two years.

We all know, purchases / transfers in California are difficult and wrought with bureaucracy & nonsense. This shop, makes it simple and easy for you to get it done. In addition, they have a very nice indoor range with a VERY wide multitude of rental firearms. Aside from the good customer service & cool indoor range, they had an incredibly wide variety of stock for sale. I noticed they had VERY fair prices, like some firearms were easily $100-125 less a piece than the FUDD gun shops here in (510) Alameda County. I would say the top highlight of this gun shop was the lack of FUDD. I experienced & saw / heard zero FUDD nonsense. Just straight up good, solid, friendly customer service & plenty of great products to choose from. It's also noteworthy that they had a really good inventory of ammo for reasonable pricing. I'll definitely be spending some more money here. Keep it up guys!!

I was excited to find out that there was a company in California that did firearm training with…read moresimunitions. I signed up immediately and was able to get in the next training session. On the morning of the class after everyone signed in and safety equipment was handed out. We went down to the range to practice some holster and live fire drills. As someone whom has taken firearm training in the past I felt this to be a little redundant. However it did allow to gauge the firearm skills of the other students that you would be shooting against. Once all the firearms were converted to shoot simunitions. We went right to running through scenarios force on force, to shoot or not shoot. After each scenario the instructors worked through them discussing all the actions that occurred. After lunch we started in the Shoot House. Where we ran through several more intense scenarios. The class was fast passed and very little down time. At the end of the day I enjoyed the class and learned several things that can use every day. I am interested in taking more classes from Train To Survive Tactical maybe a carbine class next time.

There are additional membership benefits that are helpful with transfers, especially in light of new regulations that expand firearm components to be transferred through a FFL. I live in Sac County and had to take the 16 hour course - Paul covered more material than was required and explained things in a way that I understood. He took the time to go over my questions until I had a complete understanding. I was very nervous about qualifying. I had one gun I was familiar with and had shot before and another that I just acquired and had never shot. Paul had a way about him that made me feel at ease out on the range. He was very positive and supportive. He made running through the drills fun - which really helped me relax and be ready to qualify. Thanks to Paul & Precision edge Firearms Training I passed the qualifications for both guns.

Paul is very friendly, did a great job, and provided a welcoming environment. He was very focused on safety, and reinforcing the five basic handgun rules. There were plenty of material to take home which included a Basic Pistol Handbook that makes a great quick reference for anything from safety, how to handle a pistol to cleaning and storing handguns and ammunition. Even though I was the only one to attend the class that day, Paul decided to go through with it anyway, rather than rescheduling it. I was please with that, because it gave me a one on one instruction and allowed him to spend more time with me at the range for the qualification portion of the class.

The shotgun was in good order but the handgun had been taken down and was missing its guide-rod and one of the two magazines. Those were easily replaced by me. My issue with Ralph is now closed but I cannot recommend him. Ralph didn't do his job but instead initiated an unfortunate series of events that cost me time, money, and energy.
