The salon is within walking distance from my home. I usually get the mani & pedi with existing shellac removal for 55$ . Today I was charged 120$ for having the exact same service I do normally. It wasn't sitting well with me so I decided to go back to the salon to ask why I charged so much this time around. She then informed me it was because I had chosen a metallic colour. I wasn't told ahead of time that they would be charging me 120$ . I didn't think to ask for a quote ahead of time because I have had the same service each time I visited the salon. I had also gotten a gift card for a friend & I tipped so it ended up over $200. I have had designs done on my nails in this salon previously & I still was never charged that much. I was then told by the male worker not to come back to the salon. Which is very disappointing. Considering my years of business with them.

I figured that was a decent price and booked my appointment. I got to my appointment and it was it a peaceful atmosphere. I was greeted and told to take a seat. She was drilling my nails and then the owner or receptionist came over and said because I am getting an ombré fill it is $60.00. I told her I was quoted something different on the phone but she said because it's ombré it is more. I decided to say OK in the off chance they did an amazing job and it was worth the money. I was very clear on the phone what I wanted so I feel frustrated they waited until I was there to tell me it is $60 when I could have been told this on the phone. The lady filled my nails down with the drill and wasn't paying attention and her hand slipped and startled me. Additionally she kept telling me how thick my old nails were and how she's trying to fix it. She kept saying "hot?" While my nails were burning when she was filling my nails with the drill. Additionally she was not gentle at all, and was at points hurting my fingers when she was doing my nails because her grip was so tight. When she went to go and do my nails she used this thick paste that looked aweful for the woman to work with. It took nearly an hour and a half for her to do this. I am going to attach a photo of my outcome. I won't be coming back as I am super disappointed with the results. In the salon because it's dark, they looked good. Outside in the light they look horrible and you can see exactly where the white paste stop and ends and it does not blend at all. It was wAy too over priced for the result I got Not to mention I always had at least another 1-2 people standing around me speaking to my nail tech in a language I do not understand. They were laughing constantly and it made me feel super uncomfortable since I did not know what they were talking about. No way will I ever return. If the owner is reading this I really hope you can work on training your staff, quoting the RIGHT prices over the phone and teaching your staff about being professional and making clients feel comfortable.

Services can be booked easily over the phone or from their website and they send a reminder text confirming your appointment which is super helpful!! My favourite type of nail service is with the Solar Powder line (see red / green nails in photos attached) which appear like literal glass on your hands, are super durable and are able to be formed to your nail bed into any desired shape. I used a nail extension as a tip then the solar powder on top and the gel colour for the top coat which has helped my otherwise weak nails to grow out while providing reliable beautiful strong nails that I can rely on working with various equipment/machinery/tools and cleaning supplies at my job. They are almost always right on schedule and cause clients to wait long, oftentimes even starting earlier than scheduled if their staff are free and have been willing to book on the same day which was very appreciated when I broke a nail while at work. Their bathroom, furniture, and all equipment/tools are kept super clean and the salon as a whole is tidy and well taken care of. Most times the space is accompanied by diverse music and lively conversations, though you're welcome to listen to your own music/audiobooks/other with your headphones. I personally prefer keeping my sunglasses on during my appointments as the lights and light coloured walls/tables are bright for me which has never been an issue to accommodate.
