I went to Cha time because I was craving something sweet and because they currently have a promo; 2 large drinks for $10. There are 4 drinks to choose from, Early grey milk tea, Honeydew slush, Passionfruit green tea and QQ peach. I got the Passionfruit green tea and QQ peach, both with no ice and 80% sugar. Things started off rocky as I had to repeat my order a couple of times and correct the sweetness that he entered. I followed the wording on their chart and asked for less sweet (80% sweet), but he entered in 50% sweet. Additionally, instead of entering in the promotional value, he entered both drinks at full price, so I had to get him to correct that as well. I asked them if I could use my own glass mugs and he said yes. He never asked me for them and turned away to finish making the other customers' orders, so I placed my glass mugs where he had the other orders lined up. I noticed that he was beginning to make my drinks, but he grabbed a disposable cup. So, I had to go up and confirm that he was remembering to use my mugs. Overall, I waited 11 minutes for my drinks. There were 3 customers before me, 2 in store and one who pre-ordered. Taking my past experiences with wait times into consideration, this seemed to be on the longer side of things. To top this all off, when I finally tried my drinks (at home) they tasted diluted. You can see that my peach drink basically looks like lightly colored water. I couldn't really taste the peach. They may have also skimped on the coconut jelly and pearls as well. The passionfruit tasted mostly of tea and could have used more sweetness. If I were to order these two drinks again, I would get 100% sugar. Normally 80% is perfect for me, but I've never ordered either of this drinks before, so I can't be sure if he made my drink incorrectly, or if it's the sweetness level that changed the flavor intensity. If I were to base my experience on today's interaction alone, I would never go back. However, I've come here many times in the past and have always had great customer service. I love having a Chatime right here in New West. It's our go-to in the area and very rarely disappoints. One thing to consider with any BBT shop is how good their standard pearl milk tea is and I can tell you from multiple experiences that it's very good here. I love being able to adjust the amount of both sugar and ice to accommodate my preferences, as well. On this occasion, I chose the lychee slush. I tend to select this whenever I am in the mood for a fruity flavour and it's on the menu. Admittedly, it's kinda hard to mess up. This time around, it was nice and refreshing without any large unwanted chunks of ice. This location is rather quite compared to other Chatimes and I enjoy that. It means that whenever I do want to sit down for a convo over boba a table is typically available. I do miss the old doll-catcher machine that used to be here. read more

I came here for the Buy One Get One Free on New Year Days deal. I got the usual Roasted Milk Tea with Grass Jelly and it tasted really good. Line up was quite long for the deal but it went fast. Came by for their soft opening to check out the new bubble tea place. I ordered their taro regular size, one with pudding and one without. I really enjoyed my drink, the taro tastes great here. It tastes and has similar textures to the milk oatmeal to me. I also enjoy the customization options (ice and sugar levels) too. I'm glad to have this as a new addition to the neighbourhood. It's a touch higher in terms of price but well worth it for the quality. read more

Modern, Spacious, Good lighting. This is my favourite cafe to study at in new west. There are very many tables and lots of space on weekdays - not very noisy, so it is quite suitable for studying or socializing. The menu is the same across all Chatime locations, so nothing special there, although the Roasted Pearl Milk Tea is definitely a lot tastier than the Burnaby location on Kingsway. The matcha latte is their #2 most popular supposedly, but the matcha tasted very powdery, and I wouldn't get it again. It would be a good idea to get 30% ice and 30% sugar for a healthy balance though. The service is very fast - maybe a minute or two for your drink if it is not busy. At times they can have long lines, but weekdays are great with no line. There is only one washroom, and no key is required. There is no parking garage, only street parking with parking meters. There are two stuffed animal machines which add to the aesthetics of the cafe, and the entire place is quite clean. You can also choose to get DoorDash, Skip the Dishes, Kabu, to deliver from here. Orders over 50 cups have a discount! Great for fundraisers and I would say definitely better overall than Bobacabana at the NW Station. read more

The inside is very convenient, they have lots of chair so you can just sit and hangout with your friends or even study. They're drinks are good but unfortunately they forgot to add one of our drinks to the order. Two drinks came without straws. No use for pearls if they end up sitting at the bottom of my cup. I love bubbletea! I've been to this location 4 times now and my drink has only been made properly once. I have been to the other chatimes and have never had my drink made incorrectly at those locations. Twice, at this location, my drink was made incorrectly when no one else was in line so it isn't because they are swamped. For $6+a drink I think it is reasonable to get the drink you order. You guys need to do better... Maybe listen more closely or better communication? I won't be back at your location. read more

The worst experience we have ever had. So watery, not great favor, bubbles not soft enough. We ordered coconut milk tea but taste so wierd without coconut favor... Horrible! Returned the drink & re-ordered my favorite - taro milk tea. Not quite taste taro as Watery... Very disappointed. It was always great bubble tea there. Brand new location across from pizzeria ludica. Seating is sparse but plenty of standing room. I tried the smaller size of roasted milk tea with grass jelly, 30% sweet and less ice. The quality is as expected, nothing too different from other cha time branches. Would recommend if its convenient for you! read more

Definitely much better bubble tea options in New West. I only go here due to the convenient location but I won't be going back. Service is awful and the bubble tea is just ok. Today after the only other customer in the store is served the employees just stand around laughing to each other without acknowledging me. You'd think with 5 people behind the counter you'd get quick service. When someone did finally grudgingly serve me, I wanted to make one of their drinks a slush. Every other place readily agrees to this request since it's simply a matter of blending it with ice. The guy says they can't do that. When I ask why not, a lady who might be the owner laughs at me saying "we don't have that drink". As it wasn't the first time I've had bad service I just left. I'll just go elsewhere next time and get better bubble tea without rude people. read more

I tried their roasted oolong jelly milk tea, and their Tieguanyin tea latte (from their Oriental pop tea series). The roasted milk tea with grass jelly was so so, I am not a fan of the nondairy creamer they use. It tastes a bit artificial to me and made my stomach feel a bit weird, but it may suit you if you are lactose intolerant. The Tieguayin tea latte was also so so, it had the refreshing taste of real milk but the tea taste was too weak. The pearls were a bit hard. Heads up: most of the parking in this area is a paid parking so you may have to park further away for free parking. read more

The Chatime brand is consistent so the drinks are good. However, I find the staff at this location extremely rude. I have come to this location multiple times, and have been served by different staff and every time the service has been horrible. The staff aren't friendly, and when you ask questions they aren't very helpful. read more

The worst service I've ever gotten, I ordered a Thai coffee milk tea and they gave me just Thai milk tea. I thought it was an honest mistake so I politely told the girl that I ordered Thai coffee milk tea and instead of fixing the issue she argued with me. Being in the service industry myself the costumer is always right and the fact that she approached me with such an aggressive tone was disrespectful. Furthermore, they "fixed" the drink but all they did was take off the label and switched it.
