There was 1 main instructor, with several others there to assist any of us who needed anything from a question on the painting to providing us with paint. The instructor used a microphone (awesome!) and it made it so easy to hear and understand what she had to say. They also had cameras on the painting the instructor was painting so the guests could view the screen easily from where they were seated. Because it was a grand opening, there were several prizes they gave out. I happened to be recipient of the Date night package which was very exciting. Everyone was sent home with a thank you gift bag which had dated M&M's with and logo M&M's, a wine glass with the company logo, and a paintbrush shaped pen. This also included a $15 gift card towards any next painting. I am super excited this place is so close to me, I love to go as a way to relax and have fun. A+ treatment, and nobody was invisible. Then when we arrived at class the pieces for each character were beautifully pre-cut by Sarah and ready to assemble. The assembly process involved several steps including cleaning the glass first, then applying metal tape, then soldering, cleaning, etc. Lila was our wonderful and very patient instructor and she was awesome ! She provided safety gloves and explained everything to all of us first timers doing this and answered any and all questions. When needed she provided hands on assistance to make sure everyone's piece came out great ! There was no rushing, great music playing in the background, lots of fun and overall a really great time! We definitely plan on returning for future arts and crafts classes at this great place and people!

It was such a fun class where they walk you step-by-step on how to make your own rug. Before the class, you'll send in your design and color requests. They'll let you know if your design is too hard for a beginner level class. It was a fun class and quite challenging. You do have to stand while you tuft which makes you more tired especially after a few hours, so dress for comfort and breath lability as you might get hot! You can bring snacks and something to drink but keep in mind it's a small space. Once you're all done, they'll take your rug to be finished. Takes about two weeks before it's done for either pick-up or they can also mail it to you. Definitely a good idea for a date night, birthday activity, or just a fun activity with your friends or solo. Almost forgot - they also offer classes in the CLT area as well!

You have the ability to create 3 different versions of your scent and choose what most feels like you. You can also save your scent for future use. I liked that added benefit. I am always curious as to how brands like these manage to keep their momentum as it sometimes feels like something you do once but I would definitely come again to create other products. They offer candles too as well as you can purchase premade scents. I feel like the price was very reasonable compared to other similar experiences. Definitely a must visit for a date night, girls night out, or just a relaxing end to a stressful day!

It was $35 per person which I didn't think was bad at all! They also sell car air fresheners, lotions, and candles. Most of the fragrances of the candles have a story or meaning behind them which I thought was pretty neat! Apparently next month, they will be offering larger, alcohol based perfume workshop options. When you're done, you have the option to log your scent so that you can have it made again or even have it made into candles which is cool! I really enjoyed my visit to Bright Black and would definitely recommend visiting if in the Raleigh/Durham areas
