Even my 3-year-old said it was one of her favorite soups she's ever had! I also tried the Aloha sandwich - toasted pretzel roll, Korean BBQ pulled pork, pineapple chutney, mixed greens, and tomatoes. Both of these sweet and savory dishes were incredible, and I'll likely stop by for lunch again before we head home next week. Aside from the food, this new location has much more space and brings a new energy with it. Many of us have nostalgia for the former location, but I like this one as well. So a group of us visited early on a weekend morning. But I thought it was just ok. My first impression was that it needed a good cleaning. After ordering we sat in a small grouping of chairs, and the floor looked like it hadn't been swept for some time. Crumbs and dirt were scattered around the chairs and in the corner. The trash container was spattered and sticky on the top and sides. Most of the spatters looked old and dried. And there were some annoying flies buzzing around. Two customers came in with a dog, ordered, sat down at a table, and then scattered food on top of the table for the dog to eat. The dog put his paws on the table and ate the food off the table. Now, I love a dog-friendly outdoor patio where I can take my dog but I was surprised that a dog was allowed to eat off a table inside a restaurant. And I didn't see anyone cleaning the table that the dog ate from after the dog and his owners left. Our lattes and macchiatos were good and prices were reasonable.

I ordered an Açaí bowl and tried a donut. Delicious! My daughter loved her avocado toast+egg+balsamic glaze. My husband ate his food so quickly, I'm not even sure what he had! All that to say, it's very good and it's quite small. I was a little surprised, as the Açaí bowl was $10.99 and the same size I would give to a child. So, be ready for that and order more so you don't have to go up twice. The design is alright, it seems to be more of a minimal aesthetic. I took a picture of the buffet area near the seating as an example. It looks like there should be more there, not sure what but I'm guessing it too was affected by the pandemic. Don't get me wrong, I'm thankful that the trend of the early 2000's is a faded memory. The drinks were made pretty fast. They are bit too sweet for me as I do enjoy the bold flavour of the coffee more than flavour shots/syrups. I did enjoy this visit in particular because of how warm and welcoming the staff was. They were very kind to explain to us the flavour profiles of their drinks, and they even suggested certain areas of the shop for me to take pictures of. Overall, I would come back to try their other drinks and hopefully they can make it less sweet for me.
