I was way wrong. My wife and I met Mo, he told us about the brisket special. It sounded too good. We ordered that and split the spicy chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Even my espresso martini. Usually people put way too much alcohol in it. This one was perfect. Even the bathrooms are clean as heck. They were so amazing, left them a $20 tip. My wife and I are already planning coming here next time we are in the area.

The chili is a MUST get - so delicious!! Bang bang shrimp are amazing - that sauce is to die for. Get them as an appetizer or as a taco. Special was the brisket plate - absolutely great! Meat was perfectly smoked (by the owner onsite) Good sides of cheesy bread and onion rings. Loved the service and will definitely be back!

I will say the chicken wings were decent sized tho. Not too thrilled about the hair in ranch so we opted to replace it with blue cheese and it was chunky! Which for someone like me is a good thing. Not sure if it's the norm or just the day of the week but all pool tables were open and free. They have 4 tables and they were decent with good bumpers. Pool sticks coulda used a little help. Service was decent and drink prices were on par with other dive bars. Juke box music was all over the place, it went from Mexican corridos to country to rock which I'm all for. Overall, if it wasn't for the expensive bar food, hair in my ranch and parking situation; I could have easily rounded my rating up to 4 stars but I had to round my 3.5 down.

As far as service goes, there was a lot to be desired. It was not busy at all - in fact it was quiet. I will say that the bar atmosphere and ambience were very relaxing. There were maybe 2 other groups of people here today. Our sodas were flat, the food took 40+ minutes to come out, and we received our appetizer with our entrees. The food was quite bland. I was pretty bummed because the menu really sounded delicious. The chili on the Detroit dog tastes canned. The patty melt was mostly burnt rye bread and not at all medium well. The avocado egg rolls - which were advertised as being 6 rolls (not 3 halves) - were also bland and soft. The sauce served with the rolls was light and had some flavor to it. Unfortunately, I don't really recommend this joint as a dinner option. The bar looked good and they seemed to have a lot of good drink options, so I think that if I did return to this place, I'd stick to the drinks.

The was two tables that were ahead of us, a party of 5 and 3. We were a party of 3, we finally got our food and for the most part it was ok I had ordered the patty melt and it wasn't to my liking, deep fried bacon?, a patty that didn't cover the bread, cheese that was not in the middle but towards the edge of the bread. I explained it to the server but she didn't really respond but I told her that I didn't want a discount or anything I just wanted her to know how I felt since I didn't eat my burger. Then another server came on and to me was inappropriate dressed with a shirt that didn't cover up much. I asked her if those were real and she was offended and afterwards I thought about it and it wasn't my business to ask but I did. I did apologize on my way out. This was my first time here and will not be on my list to try again.
