This is the entrance to the speakeasy. In prior years the club was open only to members but it is now open to the public. Ambiance: I visited post New Years so they still had some holiday decorations up but really enjoyed the upper class feel. It really doesn't feel like any of the speakeasies I have been to before as it was much brighter and more open space but enjoyed it nonetheless. Food/Drinks: I strictly stayed with Espresso Martinis but they were prepared pretty well. The flatbreads also tasted amazing! They also had a list of different holiday themed drinks for those inclined for some holiday cheer. Service: The service here was super quick. The server came to our table so we did not have to head over to the bar. They came a couple of times to check on us but were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the drink options! Definitely worth a check out if you are looking for a friendly public speaker easy.

It seems like they're limiting how many people are let in at once, and honestly, I'm here for that kind of crowd control. We showed up at perfect timing and scored the cozy spot right by the fireplace. Total win. My friends and I ordered The Clausmo while my guy got the Turtledove. We also all tried the shooters, I had the Nesbitt, and he got the Perry. Every drink was delicious, no complaints from any of us. The lady helping us with our order was super sweet, patient, and friendly, and the guy who seated us deserves a shoutout too. There was a small mix-up, but he made it right and got us that perfect fireplace seating. Gold star service. Overall, I'd rate the experience a solid 9 out of 10. And can we talk about the bathroom for a sec? A black toilet paired with deep green walls? Obsessed. Trophy Club is absolutely becoming one of my favorite spots. Now I just need to check it out when it's not in theme mode... but let's be honest, I live for the theme nights.

I remember from the video they said this was considered a "bartenders bar",the kind of spot that that bartenders and workers in the industry would hangout after their shifts-I liked the sound of that. Walking up to where I thought the bar was located,it was kinda funny because it was just an innocent looking blue door with the words "Cocktail" along the side-doesn't look like much at all,I'd imagine I've walked by this place many times without thinking of ever going in-that was changing this time. When I walked in I 100% knew I was stumbling upon something special-it was a tiny place but it was overflowing with energy, not many booths in this bar and it may be the smallest bar I've ever been to but it felt special.Looking at the clientele I felt like I was with my people,it was so cool in there. This is the kind of place I would take my wife and any of my friends before a special night out and be it a dinner or a concert or a production at Safe Performing Arts Center and feel like it would set the right vibe for the night. Looking over the menu, they had some very interesting looking drinks, the wife went with a French 75($12.00)and I went with a Pecan Brown Sugar Old Fashioned($16.00)The bartenders are very friendly and super personable and really took their time and took pride in their drinks-I had never had an Old Fashioned quite like that one,but it went down super smooth-I loved i-I look forward to going there again asap. A coupe of things about this bar-they do only have 1 unisex bathroom,it was very clean. Also this place is so old school that they are a "Cash-Only " bar. They do have an atm in the bar in case you forget your cash. They have a big fish tank behind the bar that really put the room together nicely-I liked it a lot. In closing,if you ever find yourself in the Ice Blocks part of midtown and want to experience an awesome bar that feels very unique-head on down to Frank and have a drink or two-you won't regret it-I think I may have found my new favorite bar in all of Sacramento. PS-I loved talking to the bartender telling me how they don't carry Don Julio but have many varieties of Fortaleza instead-a true IYKYK moment if there ever was one-this place rocks.

Instead I got on a list until there was a space, close to midnight and way past my bedtime, to discover this hidden gem. Once your reservation time comes up, you are escorted to a booth or bar area and given a menu. We had welcome drinks upon arrival and could choose from a cocktail list. The space is small and intimate with serious speakeasy vibes that remind me of some of the cocktail bars in San Francisco. The drink presentations are gorgeous, and you can tell a lot of thought goes into both the flavor and how everything looks when it arrives at the table. They have a great selection of gin, rum, champagne, and whiskey, and I often lean on the staff for drink suggestions because they're really good at recommending something you might not normally order. A few times now they've pointed me toward a drink that ended up being a hidden gem. I've been here a few times and it's always a great time whether you're catching up with friends or doing a date night. The food is also surprisingly good and pairs well with the cocktails. It is definitely on the pricier side, but that's part of the experience. Also, because the space is small and intimate, reservations fill up quickly and they do require a deposit, which goes toward your final bill. Helpful tip: make a reservation ahead of time and don't be afraid to ask the staff for drink recommendations -- they're excellent at guiding you to something special. Final verdict: absolutely worth it.

The restaurant is quite small inside with very limited seating, but the outdoor patio is beautiful. Be ready to likely sit outside, but enjoy the atmosphere. We started with the mezcal old fashioned and the cucumber jalapeño margarita. The mezcal old fashioned was a delicious smoky twist on the classic cocktail. The cucumber jalapeño margarita was refreshing, though a little sweeter than I expected and missing the spicy kick I was hoping for. The guacamole was fresh and tasty, but the portion was quite small and barely enough for two people in my opinion. The salsa was also small but it was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken tacos were excellent, with tender chicken that was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. The enmoladas were also fantastic and are a great way to sample Oaxaca's three unique mole sauces, each with its own distinct character. One thing to note is that the chicken filling is intentionally prepared very simply in traditional Oaxacan cuisine so that the mole remains the star of the dish. If you prefer heavily seasoned meat, this dish may be milder than what you are used to. Overall, everything we tried was delicious and offered a wonderful taste of authentic Oaxacan flavors. Our meal for two included one cocktail each, chips and guacamole, three chicken tacos, and three enmoladas, and came to about $100 with tip.

I have very mixed feeling about this place. I wanted to like it more... and if half stars are…read moreallowed, I'd give it 3.5 stars instead of 4... but I'll round up. NOT THE FOOD: - no parking lot; only street parking. I went for a very early dinner (a little before 5p) so no problem with parking. Street parking was free as well (not metered). - the decor inside is very nice and in keeping with the type of food that's served. yay. - the inside seating area is fairly small... there's only 4 or so 4-top tables & a bar that seats 8 or so? There seems to be a lot more seating outside though. - Our server was nice and patient as we took some time to look over the menu. SORT OF ABOUT THE FOOD: - They have a happy hour menu Mon-Fri 3p-6p; check out the other Yelp pics bc I didn't snap a pic myself. - The entrees don't come with rice & beans nor anything else. what you see on the menu is what you get. as such, the entrees are not terribly filling. they really should just slop on some rice & beans so they can be sure that you leave feeling full. THE FOOD AND DRINK: - Classic Mezcal Margarita: this was a fine, properly made cocktail. None of that nasty "margarita mix" here. $9 on happy hour. woo! - Guacamole: umm.. disappointing... rather bland; though, not diluted with sour cream or anything like that.. just kinda tasted like mashed up avocados.. there was a sprinkling of some red powder on top that I couldn't taste.. I didn't taste teh mint, basil, nor jalapeno that's described on the menu. It also came out refrigerator-cold, so that kinda muted the flavors as well. But I let it sit out throughout my meal to try it after it had "warmed" up a bit, but alas... still bland.. it was served with some salsa as well, which was quite nice. - Enmoladas: this is a trio of chicken enchiladas with each of their 3 moles: red, yellow, and black. The red and black mole were great; the yellow was kinda bland (at least, in comparison). Unfortunately, the chicken in my enchiladas was super bland. It tasted like there was zero seasoning & that they just poached it? And, the pieces of chicken were pretty thick too, which accentuated the blandness... so, I kinda mashed it up as I went along so I could get that delicious mole flavor mixed in with the chicken. - Tlayuda: this is kinda like tostada. it was okay. not great; not terrible. just fine. it ate kinda dry... like it needed some sauce... and, some spice would've been nice as well. this one will not really fill you up; it's more of an appetizer. - Kid's cheese quesadilla: this thing is pretty small; it uses the same tortillas as the tacos, so it's not very big/filling at all, but at least it comes with beans and rice. so, while I loved the margarita and the mole, there was a fair amount of disappointment along the way. perhaps, I'll stop by again if I'm in the neighborhood & would like a nice mezcal or tequila-based cocktail and a small bite to eat, but I'll think twice about having a full dinner.

We got to try the Den Old Fashioned, the Pink Pepper Club, and an espresso martini-ish drink, and yummmm. The Den Old Fashioned was really good and nicely balanced. I am not usually a fan of green chartreuse, but it is blended in a way that does not overpower the drink, which I really appreciated. The Pink Pepper Club was probably my favorite of the three. It is perfectly refreshing with that dry grapefruit profile, and it doesn't lean too sweet, which makes it super easy to sip. And the espresso martini was exactly how I like it. Not sweet, not overly milky, just clean, strong, and very drinkable. Delish. The atmosphere is also a standout. It feels like you are transported somewhere else the moment you walk in. It has a classic, old, moody vibe that makes the whole experience feel a bit more special and great date night spot. The bartenders were kind and helpful as well.
