I've been to this bar multiple times within the last 10 years, but never had an experience like this... as I approach the bar to order a drink this big sloppy heavyset guy looks at me dead in my eyes and rolls his eyes.. after about five minutes of me standing there waiting to order a drink. I raise my hand up and yelled. Hello can I order a drink.. the big sloppy guy comes over and looks at me and says what do you want? I said I want some tequila. How much are your margaritas? He doesn't know the prices of any of the drinks. I asked about the menu he said that was the day menu... I said OK well, can you tell me how much a margarita Don Julio Blanco would be, he makes the drink comes back and says $16.31, I provided him a payment and then immediately asked him how much of a difference it would be for just a shot of Don Julio instead.. he responded and said $13 but still took my payment and charge me for the $16.31 even after he gave me the dirty shot glass . Then he walks off, but I'm still waiting there. I over again and said hello. I'm still here. Then ask is there remaining funds going to go back to my card he said no because he already poured the alcohol. I explained to him that I never accepted the margarita. I'm not satisfied with it. I want a shot instead. He gives the receipt in the pen and walks away. I took a picture of the receipt and did not sign it. I get to my associates as I am putting my mouth on the shot glass. I feel something odd on my lips. I look down. It is a stain on the rim of the glass exactly where I put my lips on to take a shot. I'm completely disgusted at this point. but I let that go, until the sloppy Big guy walks over to me and my associates in a very aggressive manner, shoves the receipt with the pen and says I still need you to sign this. I asked him to back away from me because he is being aggressive, and I asked to speak to a manager. He ignored my request then I asked again. He said the Manager went outside. I responded and said well let's go get him. I go by the front door and I noticed a white guys walks in.. I said are you the manager, sir? He yells, why!! I was completely shocked as to why is the responding like this? I stopped and said, are you OK? I don't want any confusion. I'm just looking for the manager, he automatically comes off very combative and extremely aggressive. I said I just want to talk to a manager about the experience that I'm having. Long story short I wasn't even able to express my concerns to the manager, who stated that he owned the establishment. Instead of him, hearing me out and providing customer service. He decided to hear what he wanted to hear.( maybe because he was under the influence of some sort of substance.) for an example when I explain that the other bartender approached me in an aggressive manner., he automatically reacted and yelled at me asking are you calling me, aggressive.. I said whoa I never said that, I see this conversation isn't going anywhere so I'm just going to leave.. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS BAR.. It's always some drama anyway, if it's not getting shot up then it's drunk men following you home.. smh it's always something.. the bartenders really don't care about getting you so intoxicated to a point where you blackout, and drive under the influence. I remember the last couple times I was in there. I had to tell the bartender to stop serving this one guy or call him a lyft.. but the bartender just wanted the money. If that white guy is the owner, then I will NEVER come back EVER AGAIN !! But I highly doubt if that is the owner.. lol read more

Went here the first time in years. To keep a long story short. I left money on counter and then poof it was gone. Of course no one turned it in. Cameras up the butt but no. Then they have a play phone that they don't pick up. Tried to call she's see if someone was actually still a good person . But nope. The security guy was terrible! Shaved/bald with a red beard. The woman's bathroom is a single and locks. Came in and 5 to 10 minutes later it was "still in use" my guy friends went to help guard them men's for me. Changed my mind and came back out. Then a guy and girl came out of the womans.... the security guy came over and was very rude to me about thinking I could use the men's but when told a man came out of the woman's and gave him the description of him to keep an eye out he said "I don't care" so if she'd been roofied and pulled in there then taken home he wouldn't have noticed or cared. And treated me like a belligerent drunk though I'd only had 3 drinks since 6pm (this happened at 11:20pm) Guuuurl, I have work in the morning. If you think I'm trying to have a two day hangover, I'm hitting my 30s, you're the drunk one. The bartender was great though! Bummer horrible security ruined it! Went into chasers to celebrate my birthday on 3/21/2015 with a few buddies and had a very unpleasant experience with Jeff the resident dj and a unknown co worker of his. They told me I wrote a bad review on" Yelp" Got in my face so I exited the bar to be attacked in the parking lot with a couple of sucker punches by the duo, resulting in several stitches and cuts on my lip, 1 staple on the back of my head, a fractured nose and soreness.. Around 1245-100 I was brought by ambulance to mercy San Juan medical center and filed a police report after receiving painful stitches and staples as a result of the unprofessional staff of chasers. This bar can get extremely violent, with outta control staff/DJ's and patrons. And will be following up on perusing charges and civil suit to follow, atrocious! read more

Will, its Wednesday around 4:40pm . It's my first time here. I ordered a 805 Beer. I guess the beer selection isnt that bad. Around 10 people are around the Bar seating. Looks like very local group of older women and men. 55yrs and older. Old school music in the background, which I'm not opposed to. I believe it's a Karaoke Night on Wednesday Nights. I Believe I'm a little early for that. All other Tables are open, as well as the one pool table they have here. It's what you'd call a dive Bar for sure. I give it one more shot in the future. Awesome Dive bar off Madison, came in here for the first time and had the pleasure of meeting the New owner Len, very friendly Bartenders and awesome pool tables. I was also able to catch a few games as they have NFL Ticket playing on their 6 TVs. Great dive bar, check it out! I would definitely recommend giving this place a visit. Update- I've recently gone back and they have added holiday decor which is great and gives a good feeling. Also, the bartender Jamie is pretty awesome and very friendly. Just a great place to go to have a few drinks and hangout. New owners have revamped the place which is just great! read more

My one complaint is that my hubby and I each had about 6 captain and cokes and could barely feel the booze (but my pocket felt the cost!) maybe stiffness of drinks depends on the bartender?? Anyways, I do like this dive bar for the fact that you never quite know what you should expect when going! This is a fun little whole in the wall. We went on 03/08/2019 to have a couple drinks before the start of Captain Marvel. The bartender was really nice. The beers were decently priced, not sure if there was a special or something. I had a couples talls of Prohibition ale, and I really loved that beer. We played darts for a while. The music was great, he played a little bit of everything, but a lot of booty stuff to make people dance, and it was working because various people were moving and grooving. When we first got arrived, there werent too many people there. But after a while, more people came and it stated to liven up real quick. I am transgender, and I had brought my two transgender friends to this bar to sing kareoke. I pull out my flask and take a swig and am told that it is not allowed by I asked if them holding onto the flask would solve the problem. A tall caucasian man who I have confirmed through research is named Curtis Morgan ( shown online to be working there as a DJ on his Facebook profile here https://www.facebook.com/caliguy23 ) worked on the DJ booth for kareoke, wearing a grey jacket, accused me of playing games with him and accused me of disrespect. He was posturing against me, puffing his chest out, and standing over me and using aggressive tones and swearing. I tried to leave and the he tried to get in front of me to prevent me from leaving, he called the bartender over to help him, telling him to help him in keeping me from leaving. After maneuvering around him, me and one of my peers ran. They threw out my other trans friend, who outwardly was presenting as male, because my friend was associated with me even though they didn't do anything wrong. This makes too much sense after reading Lavina Marie R.'s review. He didn't treat us in an aggressive manner before seeing our IDs. So he basically looked for an excuse to kick us out as soon as he suspected we were queer. I sent a friend of mine later that night to make sure we could identify his features for filing a police report and they came outside threatening us with "You wanna play some games!?" sneaking up behind us. read more

Im very lost for words how the bartender who is male and has tattoos tried to fight me because im transgender. He told everyone at the bar i was a man and after serveral people i already disclosed i was transgender which i dont have to disclose it to anyone , mind you not one person knew i was trans and that somehow bothered him . I cant believe how unprofessional he is, he tried to fight me , threatned me and disrespected me infront of everyone that was present.people had to hold him back because he was trying to attack me. I will be taking legal action and hopefully make it very present on my social media which i have i have a following of 350k many of the lgbtq community which doesnt seem to be welcomed at this bar. Love this bar. Used to go a lot more when it was called "Slingshots", but still my fav local bar. They have 2 pool tables, 11 or so seats at the bar, some tables and chairs, 2 TVs behind the bar (usually playing sports) and a couple TVs playing videos of the DJs music. Good drink specials on weekends, a DJ playing current music (nice and loud how I like it) and free popcorn! Who doesn't love free popcorn?! They do karaoke and even have comedy stand-up nights a couple times a month. On the weekends this place really turns into a mini club. Lots of people and can get crowded (it's a pretty small place), but I like the party atmosphere. There is a great mix of people, all ages and types. The bartenders are usually friendly and helpful although there is one bartender I could do without. My one big complaint: when it gets busy it can take a loooong time to get a drink. Other than that it's a fun place with reasonable prices (especially if you get the specials)! I hear during the day/weekdays it's super quiet and pretty empty... nice place to relax and have a beer. read more
