Who; Chase Bank Where; Tracy, CA Branch Location; 691 W 11th St, Tracy Issue; I deposited a four figure check with said Bank on 01202024 and requested money back. The Bank put an as then yet to be explained hold on the check until 01312024 and wouldn't give the check back stating, "It was being processed". I returned on Monday afternoon 01222024 and asked the Customer Service representative for help. The Representative called the resolution hotline handing me the phone to explain my situation. After receiving the same explanation as from the original cashier, I politely but explicitly asked that my account be closed of all the Chase's people involved while receiving no acknowledgement, In my complaint to the Fed I also asked that my Social Security deposit(s) be returned to my original account. In the mean time, per Chases' cashier's recommendation I asked my Client to put a stop payment on the check. It's in process of being resolved leaving me without access to my funds. Too late, I was just informed via my client's text the check in question has already been cashed per the client's bank and have asked for a copy of the front and back of the canceled check in question. Is this potential fraud on Chase's part ? I don't know. I'm not an attorney that handles criminal cases. Update #2. I Just received a texted copy from my client of the canceled check showing the check has already been cashed by the client's bank meaning the amount of the check deposited to Chase has been settled though not in my favor. read more

I had a question and called the bank 5 consecutive times - no answer. I walked in and there's nobody in line and a teller immediately called me up, as my phone is still calling the bank (it's literally ringing). I got my answer from the teller, but had my call been answered, it would've saved me a lot of time from having to drive to the bank. On my way out I told the 'greeter' I'd like to speak to the manager. The greeter asked me how she can be of service. I told her my issue with the phones not being answered. I called the bank as I'm talking to the greeter and again the phones just ring and ring and ring with a generic automated message indicating 'nobody's available to take the call'. The greeter hears the automated message on my phone, apologizes, and proceeds to tell me the manager is on a phone call and will be tied up for at 20 minutes. I walked out! Seriously considering closing out our accounts and moving our funds to our other financial institution, where they actually answer the phones. read more

Miserable experience, as always. You wait in line! Every time you wait and wait! Then the manager walks around with this cute little clipboard trying to look official seeing if everyone has a deposit slip. Then stands there and watches proudly as nothing is getting accomplished. I could get a 3 year old to do that! How about seeing what's holding things up, actually help someone, step behind the counter and be part of the solution and help the tellers. I've been banking with Chase (Wamu) for 20+ years. I keep a considerable amount of money with them and have most of there Credit Cards and services so I can say that I am at the very least for them a good customer. Most of my banking is done online but just recently I bought a second home and on rare occasion NEEDED them for a trivial wire transfer. I can tell you that this branch stinks. Worse service ever, I walked in and sat down with my 2 year old and no one even looked at me for like 15 mins, mind you that an employee (male) walk by me a couple of times. I finally got up and walked out and no one cared. I went to the other Tracy branch and service was no much better. 3 stars only because I enjoy the apps, mobile and online banking. I will probably be switching over to Credit Union as they did a horrible job the few times I actually needed a branch. To employees; Acknowledging and treating your customers a little better will secure your job and go a long way! (You know who you are!) read more

If I ask a question about my account I expect a proper answer not " I don't know the system is just allowing me to deposit" and this is the person that is training new employees as well. She didn't even have her name tag must be for a reason!! This person needs to go back to training and focus on how to read your systems to provided good answers at least. Set up an appointment to go and possibly transfer all of our bank accounts to chase, was excited because of there per-motions for new customers and the fact that they are supposed to be a great bank. Walked in right before apt and wasn't made aware that we would have to wait 30 min plus after appointment time. The general manager was nice but Edgar was the person I made the appointment with and who we came to see was loudly discussing were he lived and so on with the person he was with. I came into this branch to cash a check from Chase bank from my employee (Amazon) who has a contract with Chase to cash employee checks when something happens to your pay card. Aline adt card. They clerk got authorization on the phone to get approval and when she did she didn't want to cash the check for 24 hours because I'm not a Chase bank member. I had proper identification and she knew the check was good but for whatever reason she did not want to cash my check. Smh! I went to the manager and after she gets off the phone with Aline she still didn't want to cash the check because she said they have to wait 24 hours for they're bank to clear the check. I would not have went down to the bank if I wasn't told that the check was good and ready to cash. I felt extremely discriminated on for not being a member. Worse service experience ever on 5/1/15. I already had occasional issues with the branches customer service from time to time. People are nice enough but they move slow and often times have to be asked to open another line when it gets busy. The old manager, a young afghani gal, would always at least own the problems and do her best to fix problems or get things moving. The new manager who I ran into on 5/1/15 was about as terrible as it gets. "Kristin", was rude, argumentative, slow, and refused to let me escalate a complaint. Basically stating she was "it". I love he convenience of the drive thru, but even that can't get me back to this branch ever. I am flexible and can accept 3 star service from time to time, it's going to happen. But I will not stand for being disrespected and other customers shouldn't either. read more
