I was just in there. The line was 8 deep To be helped. There was 4 tellers and only 1 was helping people the other 3 were on the phone. When I finally got up their to be helped the guy teller was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I simply walked out. Talk about give credit unions a bad name wow! read more

I moved to Sacramento a month ago but still have family near this location so I have continued banking here. I have been a member since 2005. I'm currently receiving fixed monthly income payments through a card issued by another bank and despite it being government assistance, to transfer the money UNCLE would take a $9 fee that cannot be waived. Ok, I'll take it out in cash and deposit it through Safe Credit Union nearby. I try to deposit $500 at Safe's ATM and it tells me I am attempting to deposit $300. I say no, and it returns me $200. I go inside, file a dispute with the bank on 9/10 when this occurred, call my bank and file a dispute with them. A few days later the money is back in my account. I'm pissed but not livid. On 10/3 I have a $300 withdrawl from my account and a letter in the mail that my dispute was forwarded to another unknown mystery department and that this matter did not fall under the provision E. No further communication from this bank. I call them today, Saturday, and after hours says they have no notes in the account and I may hear back today or may hear back Monday. They tell me they can't make outgoing calls to let me know if I'll hear back today. I have $300 missing from my account and there is nothing I can do about it. The lack of integrity, communication and basic decency this credit union shows is shocking. I regret deeply banking with them for so long and will be closing my account as soon as possible. read more

I was having trouble deciding, which bank I wanted to bank with since there are so many, but I'm so happy I was introduced to UNCLE! Anthony Bustillo's, who is a financial consultant at uncle credit union, was so helpful and made sure I was well taken care of (not to mention, very handsome and wonderful to speak with!) He was able to open me an account with as little as $5.00 to start! Other banks I know usually make you deposit a lot more, so I was thrilled! Anthony was such a great help as he was very knowledgeable ! After speaking, and opening my personal bank account with Uncle, I knew I had made the right decision. I would definitely recommend Uncle Credit Union, along with Anthony to any one uncertain, or tired of their current banker . UNCLE Credit Union - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Tracy, California

My previous review resulted in a rep from Uncle Credit Union calling my cell phone to discuss my Yelp review. Perhaps the intention was good customer service, but after numerous unwanted promotional phone calls from Uncle CU, this gesture completely fell flat. I also did not appreciate the condescending attitude that I experienced on the phone as it was the exact same tone given to me when I discussed the issues I had in person prior to leaving a review. I am, as promised, updating my review to correct the information left in my previous review. My previous review mentioned a sneaky tactic that Uncle used to opt customers into receiving autodialed pre-recorded phone calls. I was automatically opted in when I activated my new ATM card. Due to the number of promotional phone calls that I received before opting out, I mistakenly thought that Uncle CU had sold my information to a third party. According to Uncle CU, this is not the case. They have partnerships with other companies so when you receive a promotional call for these services it is still considered part of Uncle CU and the calls are being made on behalf of Uncle CU. I located the insert that was sent with my new ATM card. It is worded in such a way that leads people to believe that they are opting in to fraud alerts. "You hereby consent to receive autodialed, pre-recorded, or artificial voice calls and messages, including informational alerts and fraud alerts, from or on behalf of Uncle Credit Union at any telephone number you previously provided to the credit union, such as at the time of opening, and at any telephone number you provide to the credit union in the future, including wireless telephone numbers." Including (but not limited to) fraud alerts. Of all the calls I have received from Uncle CU, zero have been fraud alerts. My advice for Uncle CU is the following: focus more on deposit accounts and less on trying to get people to sign up for life insurance after they have previously declined the offer; limit promotional mailings and phone calls; treat members with respect rather than condescension; address customer issues when they bring them up rather than putting effort into damage control after the fact. My previous review listed the pros of Uncle CU. Those pros have now been overshadowed. I would recommend Uncle CU to absolutely no one. read more

I love this bank, the tellers are great, and I've banking here for years. The first and end of the month is crazy but so are regular banks. I have the best checking account for my budget. My teenagers all opened their own accounts for job reasons- and needed direct deposit fir work, David Torres was great explaining step by step to them. Rebecca Reyes is AMAZING! What should have been a very simple transaction at an ATM machine turned into a huge fiasco! I deposited a check in a large amount into my UncleCU checking account via a co-op ATM in NV. After several minutes of the ATM screen showing transaction in process the check popped back out of the machine. Because my car decided to have mechanical issues, this became my priority versus the check popping out so I didn't go inside of the Greater NV CU to inquire why this happened. Now it's the next day - my on-line bank statement shows the check did indeed deposit, only to be retracted, thus, resulting in a zero checking balance and a $5 transfer fee from my savings in order to cover an outstanding check that my supposedly deposited check was going to cover. After talking with customer service reps at both UncleCU in CA and Greater NV CU, my problem was neither resolved, nor was there a hint of interest. In fact, Tony, at Uncle in Livermore did put me on hold to go ask for advice; he came back on the line suggesting that I go to another CU in NV and make the deposit because the ATM machine much have malfunctioned. Evidently, he wasn't listening when I told him this happened yesterday, also, I had drawn money out of the same ATM minutes prior to making the deposit so it wasn't malfunctioning, and besides all that, I'm currently without a car which I had mentioned several times. Plus, both reps said it was the other institution's responsibility. One might say, the buck was being passed! In trying, thru google, to locate Uncle's Tracy, CA phone number, I noticed "yelp" for UncleCU. I "just happened" to spot several rave reviews about "Rebecca Reyes." I contacted her and to my surprise she immediately picked up the phone - no answering machine or out-of-the office, or on vacation, yada yada. Rebecca was sweet, compassionate and understanding, and she truly listened! She actually stayed on the phone with me and guided me on how to install my Uncle app, and directed me on how to make at least a partial deposit via my phone in order to get some now much need funds into my account. Since Uncle only accepts a max amount thru the app system, Rebecca is going to see if she can get the remainder of my failed deposit from yesterday, expedited. She also "kept in mind" that I had car issues and said, I imagine you'll need some money fast to cover car expenses. This just goes to show her thoughtful heart. She was right-on as my car was towed to an auto mechanic and the dx is still pending. She also guided me with transfers from one institution to another via my on-line Uncle account. She said she is going to call me back later today with an update on any success she may have had for an expedited deposit and I believe she will do what she said. It's truly refreshing, these days, to have someone representing the company they work for - actually, the public - not only be helpful, and kind, but also the unexpected service of going above and beyond the call of duty for the customer. i.e., staying on the phone, "patiently," walking me thru the process of my app install and! Never once, did she make me feel like I was annoying her or that she needed to hang-up! She was totally with me all the way! Rebecca is a remarkable employee! Extremely poor poor poor customer service rebecca reyes, wanna be assistant manager, but can't manage to be decent towards young children, she was so rude to my 4 year old daughter, and anthony bustillos financial consultant should not be working in a financial institution where people may happen to come in to do business with their children. Everyone be ware of the reason this Uncle credit union in Tracy has low stars and low customer satisfaction. I was not happy that I waited for the Bank Manager for more than 45 minutes. Sitting on the couch, this is where you are supposed to wait for the bank manager told by the employees there. When I saw the bank manager done with his customer I proceed to get up but I can see that the bank manager saw me and said to wait , he went to the back office. Five minutes later. He got up again from his desk so I got up again but this time again he nod his head that he is going the back office. Ok so 15 minutes past, now this is about an hour wait. One customer, comes in and wait for the next teller, the bank manager calls him into his office. I just left the place and wasted one and half hours of my precious life and 5 minutes more to write this review read more

I recently opened an account at UNCLE. I really enjoy the personal service in the branch.

I have never felt at ease walking into that bank, and seeing the rather dull / unenthusiastic faces of the clerks behind the bar or at the tables. And today , being served by a new and young girl ... I dang near thought she was suspicious of my intents in being there. I am going to close down my account ... not just because of the new Clerk but the dang near Zombie expressions of the whole crew. A week ago I went into Uncle to help my son that is special needs open a bank account. I called in first to let Uncle know that my son does not talk or look you in the eyes and this a special case it was nothing personal towards the teller. Uncle was expected me at 5:30pm however I was running late due to work. 10 mins to closing the first last did not want to let us in so I said can someone please open a new account for my child please?! A lady in the back responded, yes I will help you! Jump forward; the process did take up to 30 mins and I could now understand why the first teller did not want to let me, but she could of told me it was going to take some time. Anyhow the 2nd teller was very understanding and was fully aware of my child's situation. I highly recommend Uncle it can take that one person that can make a big difference for the entire company. Thank you Rebecca for helping my son, and explaining everything to him. My son is everything to me, and you made my stressful evening so much better, and he was so happy. I entered this place and off the bat had a positive vibe within the area. Everyone was very nice and smiled upon my arrival. As being approached by anthony that's where everything felt like i dealt with the right person. He was not pushy with anything at all, he was positive and motivated on what he does. He even explained in deep details what I needed to know when asking about financial stability. He gave me the numbers and promised to give low rates and in honest truth. Anthony has delivered all of the above explained with super low rates. He did not ask for my business or did he force anything but now he deserved my business and i was more then happy to open a new checking account without even bringing it up because of his personality. Next time anyone considers advice or thinking about opening a new account, depend on Anthony because he doesnt hide or work around things. He is legit and will not dissapoint. This is not what credit unions are about. I walked in asking for a auto loan. My father and I walk in and I speak to the lady named Rebecca Reyes. We tell her we want my dad as primary and I as cosign. Which I dint see a problem with that because we both have relatively pretty good credit. She was finding ways trying to tell me that I can't cosign for whatever reason. She ask for my proof of income, I'm self employed and just started a business that is thriving and haven't had it open for a year yet so I don't have pay stubs for it yet. I tried every alternative ways such as banking statements to show sufficient funds. Okay so I arguing with her and she over here telling me all this crap which I'm throwing facts at her back. I walk in the next day and OMG THANK GOD I got a new person to help me. Harold and Stephane where amazing! Because of them I'm giving it a 1 star and being somewhat polite cause they did do everything to help me and made everything workout for me. But enough with the rant I apologize. Bottom line is the woman Rebecca is an assistant manager, idk who in the world would put her as a manger. Very rude tone of voice and the things she was saying and doing just doesn't make sense. She made it very difficult for us to apply for the loan. I hated the whole process with her. But guys if you plan to go to this credit union please just be aware of what your getting into. I will not be coming here for anything anymore due to the fact of that one person. Even on the phone when they were trying to transfer me to her I specifically said I don't want her to handle me loan application. But there you guys have it. Just please know what your walking into. I hate this credit union. STAY AWAY! Usually, the benefits of a credit union include lower fees and better service, but UNCLE offers neither. Their fees are every bit as high as BofA or Wells Fargo, and they charge for everything! So, why bother? I've been in credit unions for years and this is the WORST. I'm opening a new account somewhere else today...in a few months I can close this account without a fee (they charge you $50 if you close your account before 6 months, because they KNOW they suck and that is how they keep people) And, I'll have to make a few purchases here and there in the meantime on this account, because they will charge me an "inactivity fee". ALSO they charge 35 cents every time you use your ATM card, unless you use credit. THE TELLERS ARE RUDE!! If you like high fees, rude tellers and phone assistance, and also a sub-par online banking site, by all means sign up. But why don't you just go to Bof A or Wells Fargo, where there are more ATMs and more branches where they can treat you like crap? read more

I just wanted to take the time and give a great review for the customer service my family has received from UNCLE for almost 20 years now. They are very personable and you are not a number like in the bigger banks. They are a phone call/e-mail away to fix or help with any problems. And you don't get stuck in a loop of pushing buttons just to speak to a person. I have worked in the banking industry many years ago for one of the larger banks, and saw how commercial they were. This is why we picked UNCLE Credit Union. The customer service is amazing and especially Rebecca , she has helped me and my family in multiple of occasions to get things accomplished at a moments notice. Thanks Rebecca!
