I've been banking with Chase (Wamu) for 20+ years. I keep a considerable amount of money with them and have most of there Credit Cards and services so I can say that I am at the very least for them a good customer. Most of my banking is done online but just recently I bought a second home and on rare occasion NEEDED them for a trivial wire transfer. I can tell you that this branch stinks. I walked in and sat down; I was then told that the ONLY person that knows how to do a wire transfer was busy and they sent me to another branch! Seriously! One person in the whole Bank knows how to do a transfer! I went to the other Tracy branch and service was worse. 3 stars only because I enjoy the apps, mobile and online banking. I will probably be switching over to Credit Union as they did a horrible job the few times I actually needed a branch. I was at the branch at 8:55 before they open, when they opened I was the first one in the door and no other customers were there. I went in to open a youth checking/savings account for my 16yo. They told me they have 2 business bankers but they both had appointments at 9:30 so they couldn't help us until the afternoon. They said it would take 45 mins to open a new account. We do all our banking with Chase, it's crazy that I have to make an appointment for something as simple as a kids account, the teller was unwilling to be helpful or even ask a banker if we can smash it out quickly. Booked an appointment to open saving & checking account at 12pm last week (squeeze an hour skip lunch). Someone called me the day before to confirm the appointment. Went there 5 mins early waited until 12:20pm saw the bank rep who I am supposed to meet still working with another customer. I decided to leave and forget about it. In line today 7 people doing transactions they had 2 tellers and 3 open ATMs there is a reason why people come to a bank for personal banking they might have there life savings in there or have multiple deposits, not comfortable with the ATM or just want to make contact with a real person. They had 2 people back in offices one of them was a manger which she worked at another branch that closed its doors and when they were open I chose to go across town because of the way the branch was run. So today instead of helping people in line she would defer them to a ATM machine instead of taking them and handling business like come over to my office and I will take care of you she would defer to the ATM machine in front of 7 people not taking into account that people might have a question or 2 but to be put on the spot. Some people just have no tact or a want to help or understand people and personal attention. If chase only had ATM machines or online banking would this manager even have a job? Something to think about... or would they have any customers? They would loose my account! Have a nice day! read more

Not only is this branch horrible, my complaints go much deeper to the corporation. After 6 months here as a new customer and direct depositing thousands of dollars every week, My account is under a fraud alert for the last 3 months and I'm unable to use my debit card for transactions. After several attempts to get this fixed including calls to their "fraud department" they still have failed to remedy the situation. I'm done with these idiots! If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in with my mother to open an account, we signed in and sat down. Ten minutes passed and no contact. Twenty minutes passed and no contact whatsoever. 30 minutes in and no contact. Finally I made my way to the teller to ask "is there anyone that can help us? We have been sitting there for 35 mins?" She made a phone call to one of the bankers and he came back saying the other female banker would be done in 10 minutes or less. Here I am 42 minutes walking into this branch and not receiving any service whatsoever. The slim gentleman with the slicked back hair was with NOBODY staring as his computer for the entire time. I WILL NEVER WALK INTO THIS BRANCH AGAIN. Not even the tellers walking back and forth contacted me to see if I was doing alright. Due to this experience I'm even thinking of switching banks. Liz was the only teller. Very rude. Not sure if she was upset cause she was the only teller or just having a bad day. Especially after just coming from Wells Fargo where there's one person to open the door for you. Another person to greet you and every teller window open to decrease lines. And lastly they ask if there's anything else they can do to offer exceptional service. Chase has a lot to learn in customer service to compete with Wells Fargo. I used to love this branch but in the last 3 months the service has gone downhill :(. On a Saturday morning, there is one teller with a line of eight people! It's like this every Saturday lately. The personal bankers don't know what they are doing. I went in to get my accounts transferred to my trust and the personal banker spent the whole time on the phone with someone instructing him on how to get it done. Went to the Chase Bank on Tracy Blvd & ATTEMPTED to make a measly $600 CASH deposit into my husbands checking account- & low & behold, no cash deposits are accepted into any account unless your name is on the account... hummmmm.... they will however take a check ... hummmmm... Been a long time Chase Bank customer... But that all ends soon! My daughter moved to Florida yesterday so my wife went with her to set up her apt. Attempted to use our Southwest Airlines cc in Florida and the transaction got DECLINED. Since my wife is on the act as only an authorized user... She did not get the fraud alert email/text--- I did. I'm in CA... By the time I saw the text they paid by another means... What's the use of having a "points/miles" cc if you can't use it? So I stopped by the bank and was told... "You have to notify us when you travel outside the state". I was told the transaction did not complete- wait for it--- to protect "me". Nonsense, it was to protect Chase. We all know that if someone somehow compromises your cc you complete an affidavit of forgery and you are not responsible for the transaction. It's the same reason you use your debit card as "credit" outside of the bank so that you are using VISA's $$$ and not yours should there be an illegal use of your card/name. Bottom line is it's my money I should be able to spend it if I have and get the "bonuses" associated with my credit card! When this trip is over I am shopping for another bank!!! The staff at the bank could have cared less about me or my situation!! Buyer beware... Ok... So Banker Adam Malboeuf actually called card services and attempted to make it right... He asked for some points to be added to my acct... It's the fact that he FID go out of his way to provide customer service... Still not happy with Chase... But at least Adam listened. I have been with Chase since 2001, or whatever it was prior, and never had a problem. Every two weeks I go and transfer money from my Citibank acct to a joint bank acct with my hubqnd with no problem. I go to Branch on Tracy Blvd, I also frequent the one in Brentwood without a problem. When I go to the Grantline Chase there is always a problem with one teller which I am now convienced she doesn't know what the hell she is doing. I tried to make a transfer from my Citi acct to my Chase checking and she tells me it's declined, I have had this same teller tell me this before...not sure what she is doing, which resulted in me going to the Chase on Tracy Blvd and completed this action with no problem...the only reason I went to this branch was because I was headed to Brentwood to a doctors appt which was on the way,if I would have known that this some woman was going to be there I wouldn't have let her waste my time. The last time she told me my transaction was declined, i went to my car and called customer service at Chase and Citi to see if there was a problem with my And was told that there wasn't a problem at all. I feel frustrated with this tell and wondering did there is some other issue with her. I would really hate to think otherwise. This tall curly haired chick needs to learn how to transfer funds or get someone who knows how to do the job.
