This location definitely has better tellers & bankers. I came here because 1. It's closer 2. They helped with assisting me w/my father's accounts. I went to the Bay Fair one & while yes, they assisted me, but they also sent me back to the Chase that first helped me w/my father's accounts. When I came back to the greenhouse location, the told me that all their systems were the same, so there shouldn't have been a reason for the Bayfair to send me back to the Greenhouse location. read more

I have only used the ATM here and I like how the ATM machines are not outside ATM is behind the doors in the entrance, feels safe and secure and also protects you from the weather. Parking is easy to find read more

Chase needs to be more service oriented. I set up an appointment, online through the app as they requested. Tried calling this morning to confirm, kept getting hung up on because no one available to answer then on arrival to find out no appointment. When did banking get so difficult? read more

I recently opened a business checking account at the branch at 699 Lewelling Blvd. Maxwell, the manager, and Vaibhav, my banker, were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. My experience was nothing short of superb. I highly recommend this particular location as everyone is positive and helpful. Thanks! read more

We need help with notarizing legal documents and the manager, Zechariah Viravong from Alameda SS branch was so helpful. We had to do it twice and he was gracefully helped us completed. Excellent customer services. read more

I see why this location has the low amount of stars. I was in the area so went to this location to cash a check. I've banked with chase for over 15 years and have never had a problem with my account. The teller Andrea told me I couldn't cash it only deposit it I asked for the supervisor. Her name is Ann and she was useless. Said there was nothing they could do for the check I could only deposit it. I had more than enough funds in the account to cover the check to be cashed and they wouldn't do it. The last teller who helped me Cece was really nice and apologetic. But Ann and Andrea were both worthless. I'll be using a credit union from now on. read more

Thank you to Vaibhav for your help with my new credit card application! This chase bank has been my go-to for years. Mostly for convenience since it's so close to home and I can stop by quickly during a Safeway run. I typically just use the ATMs outside but sometimes I have also used their ATM inside when I've needed to withdraw/deposit a large amount. Most recently I wanted to apply for a new credit card and Vaibhav was so helpful. He explained the pros and cons of each option and made sure to answer all my questions thoroughly (and I had a lot about how it would affect my credit, which would be better in the long run, etc). He even was flexible when I needed to schedule a last minute appointment the next day. Grateful for the accommodation! read more

Third time I've come to this bank and the ATM has no money. I think it's time to change banks at the rate chase is going

I like this Chase location because it's a small location but it offers most banking services. I like that during evening hours when the bank is closed the ATM machines are located inside where you need an ATM card to swiped to get in. It makes it a little bit safer and prevents vandalism and against rainy days. I came in yesterday to get my daughter's birth certificate application notarized because the county clerk recorders office is closed due to the pandemic. They were closed on Tuesday and the manager called me to tell me they would be open the next day. Sure enough they took me in and I didn't have an appointment. Stacey the manager was delightful to work with. She was also training her team on how to notarize since they didn't do it often. She was teaching her by the book which is the right way to train. Best part was it was completely free. Save d me money from having to go to the UPS store which was also in the same shopping center. read more

This bank is conveniently located near where I live. The employees have been helpful with any questions we my have.

How is it possible for a CHAIN bank to not have handicap access? It's absolutely unacceptable, especially when there's a GIANT handicap accessible sign on the door that is completely misleading. I witnessed a young boy and his possibly grandfather in a wheel chair struggle to open the door because there was NO BUTTON for the automatic door opening and that was the only entrance. That is just cruel and unusual punishment, not to mention unfair and just heart breaking to see somebody who is already struggling trying to get through two swinging doors that don't stay open. On another note, there's two atms that rest inside the store but is separate from the bank so after hours, you can swipe your atm card to get inside and have the secure comfort to withdrawal or deposit whatever you need to do. It's tucked center of the mall coming through the road and there's amply amounts of parking. read more

I'd give zero stars if that was allowed. My wife and I recently bought a new car and the dealer shopped the loan with Chase, and Chase bought the loan. Since we have no loyalty to our current bank, we figured we'd open a checking/savings account with Chase to simplify our banking. Simple enough, one would think... We first tried to open accounts online and was told that we'd need to visit a branch. Today we went to this branch around noon and was greeted at the door by a guy who said the one banker who was working was just finishing up with one customer, there was one more family ahead of us and that it would be about a 15 minute wait. The first customer finished up, the waiting family filed into the banker's cubicle, and we took a seat in the waiting area. The banker came over and asked what we were there for, so we explained that we have a loan with Chase and wanted to give them our banking business. She said we'd have to come back at 2. I said that we were told we were next and that it would be a short wait. She said the guy at the door was wrong and that we'd have to make an appointment and come back at 2:00. Nope. Over a span of about 90 seconds Chase not only lost our banking business, we're also going to refinance the loan elsewhere. read more

On Saturday, 7/19/20, at 1:30 pm, I went inside this branch to get some coin changes. I asked for 3 rolls of quarter and 2 rolls of dime. She seemed very annoying and said could only give me one roll of each. What kind of crappy bank doesn't have enough change. I owned a business in Alameda so I usually go to Alameda branch but I happened to stop by here while I was running some errands. So I gave her $20 (for one roll of quarter and one rolls of dime, total $15) expecting a five dollar change back but she kept asking for more money. Not only not she was rude but can't even count. Of course, she did not say anything like thank you or have a good day not a single word when I was leaving. She should learn some more customer service skills read more

Worse chase bank ever! I'm a new chase member and I tried cashing 2 of my checks and for some reason the teller who works there in the mornings, she keeps telling me that something is wrong with my checks when nothing is wrong. I work nights and tired of dealing with this. After she told me this in two different occasions I went to Patelco and they cashed my checks with no problems I would give this place a zero if I could. read more

Would rate 0 if possible. Arrived at chase around 12 myself and a couple of other customers waited over 30 mins just to speak to a banker apparently they all took lunch around the same time. read more

WORST BANK MANAGER IN THE UNIVERSE!!!!!, I have had an account with Chase for about 30 yrs and went with my son to cash his check there (he does not have a bank account) the check was a Chase bank check for a few hundred dollars from his employer, I vouched for him and even told them I would easily cover it if it bounced. THE MANAGER told us it was altered because one of the letters was darker than the others (she thought we added it I guess) she said it was Bank policy, I explained to her policy is not a rule and she could, with her judgement allow policy to be overlooked with her better judgment, keep in mind I could have covered this check a thousand time over, well, after trying to reason with this so called MANAGER who has NO customer service or judgement I went to downtown San Leandro Davis Street Chase bank and had it cashed within 30 seconds, this is not the first time I've had issues with her, a couple few years ago when my Mom who has dementia had her bank account compromised wanted to have her come in and sign some papers (I have POA) I told her she can't walk or talk and barley remembers me. I left so frustrated I was in tears and again went to Davis St. SL downtown bank and was treated very well and with the matter handled compassionate and very professionally, THANK GOD for Davis St. SL Chase bank!! read more

I am appalled at the service I received here by Tram Cao. I've been in many times and have noticed the quality of service has decreased significantly over the last year. I visited this branch to inquire about a new checking. I had received an offer and wanted to take advantage. Tram was very rude in her response. She was very quick to tell me no. She told me the information I received from another branch was wrong and had no empathy in declining my request. I was hoping she could have given me options or told me about other promotions. As a customer, I wanted to be heard. Tram did not do this and made me feel that she did not value my business. It was ok that I was misinformed but the aggressive nature of the banker's response was not. Maybe she is new to the company and still needs to learn these skills. I hope this feedback will help in the coaching of this employee and the staff. As I read these reviews, I know am not the only client who had felt the lack of customer service. read more

Chase Bank - Terrible service from Tram Cao - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - San Leandro, California

About this branch: the line to see a bank teller moves quickly. The service that you get here is fine and the employees are great. About Chase: Like other banks if you don't have a minimum balance or direct deposit they will charge you a checking fee. Like other banks there is so much to read in the contracts and the contracts get updated regularly enough its tough to keep track of what they are doing. We did a little bit of shopping around for a home equity line of credit and these guys had a less expensive interest rate than Bank of the West. read more

Chase Bank - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - San Leandro, California

I never ever had to stand in line at this Chase and there's always parking in front or a few steps away. The advisers here all know what they're talking about and I recommend you talk with Jermaine or Mike Fisher (who's not always there). Mike gave me a full hour and a half econ lesson and I was ecstatic! I guess accounting and econ isn't so boring since I've never taken a course. I do have to say though, not all but a lot of their bankers doesn't seem like they like their job. Cheer up guys :) If you go in afterhours to access their ATM, you'll need to swipe your card to get through the doors; I LOVE THAT. Makes me feel a little more secure. And the location is great. Safeway, CVS, Jack, McD, 99cent store....Corporate convenient stores and fast food chains for all your needs, wants, and you really should buy thats...a little glimpse of America. read more

This bank should just close. They only have one teller most of the time, whether the line has two people or 20 people. Seems to be terrible management. The one star is for how nice the three people are that are there. Just close. read more

We arrived at 5:25pm to open a new account. No one was at the lobby except one gentleman waiting on the couch. One bank personnel in the booth helping a customer. I was looking for a sign up sheet when the teller asked us to sit down. A few minutes later three employees came out. The manager asked who needs help, and I pointed to the person that was ahead of us. After asking the gentleman on what he needed, the manager turned to us. I said we would like to open a student account. She mentioned that the personnel in the booth is helping a customer open a new account, and told us that we need an appointment to open a new account. She gestured us to go over her desk to set up an appointment. She then told us that the next appointment is at 10am the next day. I said the students will be in class, and asked if there is any open slot around the time we came in. She said the last appointment would be 5:15pm. I said I don't think I can make it because class ends at 5pm, so I asked if all Chase banks closes at 6pm. She responded by saying that it is already 5:34pm and doubt if I can drive over and take a chance to be accommodated. I made a comment that it seems that Chase doesn't like to have our business so I gestured to my students that we should now leave. She said that is not true and mentioned that they are open Saturday and whether I would like to set an appointment then. I told her this branch has two stars on Yelp and now I know why! read more

Bad customer service! That's all I can say! I was trying to transfer money to another act and this idiot manager name Nathan force me to sign my bank card cuz he said that if it didn't have a signature he can't help me transfer money to another act bcuz all it said was see ID. Come on now you have my ID and my PIN number. I told him that's my security purpose incase I loose my bank card it'll ask for ID and the idiot said that I had to have my signature or they can't help me with my transaction. First time being here and that'll be the last. I'd give this bank a zero star but one is the lowest. Oh Nathan how in the world did you get the managers position. Bad choice Chase bank. read more

I will give no star to the customer service of this bank. Don't go there. Horrible customer service. I had an appointment with them but when I got there no one seems knew about it.
