I'm in the process of purchasing my father in laws home and the excitement I began with has been so dimmed by the two individuals I've dealt with at this location- Carla and Ruben. Both times I went the dimeanor and judgement I felt from them is absolutely degrading to say the very least. Let me humbly remind you that you are in the field of CUSTOMER SERVICE and without the customers (that hopefully haven't all been made to feel the way I have) you wouldn't be in business. I will absolutely be changing locations. This branch should look to rehire or retrain the individuals currently in place. I was in banking for years and from the body language to the actual service provided its an absolute disgrace.

The banker named Randy Brito seem very helpful at first but after he "supposed" help me. He told me that I would get a call from the resolution center in a couple of days. I called him twice and he snap at me, gave me attitude and apparently didn't do he's job like he was suppose to, because the resolution center never received anything notes or a copy of a receipt I gave him. To send it out to them. The guy made it seem like it was wrong for me (a customer for many years). To ask him a simple question, about my situation! He basically gave him an tone and lied saying I call him ever other day! Clearly this guy doesn't know what he's doing at a bank. If he makes it seem like two phones calls, was more like a phone call a day. Guess he doesn't know he's math and he works at a bank! I'm getting tired of these Wells Fargo bankers and there nasty attitude and lazy disposition. If you don't like what you do go find another job because after another mislead and unhelpful encounter with this bank. I'm going to switch banks and never look back!!!!

Every time you call no one ever knows anything I've gotten so much misinformation it's ridiculous. I took my money out and went elsewhere and then when I called about interest on savings account, I was told about a high-yield interest savings account so I took all the steps so I could transfer money back into Kearny federal to find out they didn't have that! Two different people in the same location told me that they had that savings account option and then when I actually try to do it, I was told oops we made a mistake... Really a Bank makes a mistake. Oh no that's why I took all my money out of Kearny and I don't care now if they have 10% interest, I'd never put it back again... They really need to up there staff education on their own products... Not to mention that their online banking is very antiquated... Unfortunately, retail businesses which are not customer centric tend to die. What's the problem? I needed to purchase foreign currency. I spoke to a branch employee on the telephone with questions about foreign currency. During the conversation I asked him when the branch closes - he said 5.  I drove 45 min to the branch and arrived at 430 only to learn the cut off for foreign currency is at 3 and they cannot place an order for the next business day, so I had to come back tomorrow. When I asked the employee why he didn't tell me the cut off was at 3 -  I only got dumb looks. When I asked him how would someone who doesn't work at Capital One know this if you don't say something - I got more dumb looks. The above is bad & I will blame the bad combination of a minimum wage employee who was poorly trained. Above are the symptoms, now let's talk about the disease of incompetent management. I tried to contact the branch manager twice by email and was blown off. Only when I called the 800# to ask to speak with the regional VP did I get a call back from the manager. She did not take responsibility for her employees. She did not offer to cover my mileage to her bank. She didn't even apologize for Capital One wasting my time.  Absolutely no ownership of her team's error. Apparently it must be my fault for choosing to do business with her branch. Don't make the same error. Find someone who wants to build a long term banking relationship with you. Unfortunately that's not what Capital One in Ridgewood does.
