Sign says it closes at 7 pm on a Friday night, but at 6:45 there is no one inside. Several people standing outside needing banking services. TD does not have legendary service nor is convenient. After waiting 15 minutes on hold for customer service, I was told she had no idea why they would be closed and never even apologized. A good bank gone bad. read more

I have been with TD bank since they were commerce bank...so I was a customer for a very long time. And i closed all our accounts today. Recently I called the 800# because I needed to temporarily increase the amount I can take out. The customer service rep had me on the phone for over an hour for a manager to approve the increase then told me to call back in an hour and the approval would definitely be done. Well we call back and not only is the approval not done, but there's no notes in the account indicating that I even called. My husband was on hold this time for 40 minutes. We were told we had to go into the branch. So we are understandably upset. Why didnt they just tell us that to begin with? We are working and had to request an unplanned day off. So I go into the bergenfield NJ branch to request the increase, and I was frustrated. Kelli assisted me with what I needed. When i mentioned to her that I'm coming back to close my accounts, she said "that's fine". I was a bit surprised because who actually says that? Yeah you might be thinking it but if you work in customer service, why would you actually say that? If we were one of their wealthy customers, I know she would not have said that. When I went in, I was on the fence about closing the accounts. We've been with them awhile. But thanks to Kelli, our decision was easy. No concern for customer retention. No empathy for a stressed out (not rude at all just stressed) customer. Just total smugness. I dont expect them to beg me to stay, but they also shouldn't be smug and indifferent to a frustrated customer who was getting the run around from their call center. We are going to a small community bank and we hope they care more about their customers than TD. read more

This TD branch is a model branch which I feel the need to give a real shout out to for outstanding customer service during a difficult time. I had to drive to NJ from Manhattan because all the branches here are closed on Saturday due to Covid and during the week only one or 2 are open and its a mess here. The first branch I went to on my trip into NJ , made up an excuse that they couldn't help me and asked me to drive back Monday ?! Then I found on Waze the Bergenfield branch, Laura was absolutely delightful, enthusiastic (and funny) and Bettina just called me to confirm my transaction. Right now it's so important to recognize employees who go above and beyond, you guys did. I may just take a trip to see you after this is all over and move my business account to TD now as well. Thank you! Seth read more

TD Bank - They promised $300 referral fee, I never got it after 6 months either. Just trying to lure you in with these ridiculous offers. So upset! - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Bergenfield, New Jersey

So this bank is pretty good. Especially compared to another one down the street that I reviewed. The bank itself is great in terms of corporate. You can earn interest on your checking account in certain situations, which most banks do not allow you to do. Also TD will reimburse you for ATM fees from other banks (i.e. the dreaded transaction fee). I also get free notary services and free bank checks. This is only when you maintain a certain amount of money in your account. But if you have $2500 or more already in a checking account, why not switch to TD so you can get the interest and other free perks? Also TD bank customers are allowed to use the coin counter (Penny Arcade coin counting) free of charge; nonmembers have to pay 7% of the amount counted. Go to their website and compare different checking and savings plans. I think they are competitive. Sometimes the staff is a little clueless. One time I walked up to the counter. No one in front of me, no one behind me and four tellers behind the counter. Could not get any better, right? Wrong. I am standing there for about a minute without anyone even acknowledging me. 60 seconds can feel like an eternity sometimes especially when it is a little awkward. After 1 uncomfortable moment and without looking up, one of the tellers says 'someone will be with you in a moment'. So 2 more minutes go by. Then I finally get called up and a bunch of customers come in at this time and they get served right away. Huh? It was so strange. Other than that, I like the bank for the most part. I would put up with quirky clerks if it means more money in my pocket. read more

2.28.19 AROUND 3.28PM The Male banker was very RUDE and needs education on customer service, I asked him if the ATM Machine was broken and he just Turned around not saying anything and I asked him again 2nd time and he told me "wait I didn't check it yet " in a rude manner and after 35 seconds and went outside to check and came back inside without telling me if it's broken or not . Very unprofessional to customer ,may be he has problems in his personal life but shouldn't bring it to work . I hope when I come back tomorrow is not broken anymore the ATM Machine. read more

I went there moments ago to change/update my name and get a new card with my name on it. I brought my certificate of naturalization, petition for name change form.. the guy said that he still needs more documents.. how can I provide more documents with my new name on it when I just change my name. I tried calling customer service and I didn't have any problem, I will receive my new card in a couple of days and they were able to update my name. read more

The only reason I gave 1 star is because I had to, worst customer service and not only 1 person I have dealt with 3 im actually helping my mother on her business accounts and even their online banking sucks I checked her account at 12 am they were fine 5 am I transferred from one acct to another it was fine 12pm all the sudden there is an overdraft fee. I called bank and the manager says I'm not sure what the accounts said but this is what I'm showing with an attitude. I read they are making a settlement for all the crazy overdraft fees they have charged ppl in the past now I understand they are theives. When I deposit CASH it says pending for hours it's cash should just go right through well not TD. I have 2 other Banks I deal with for my business and have never experienced issues like I do with TD. WORST BANK MY MOTHER WILL BE SWITCHING!!! read more
