I emailed Melissa on December 14, 2025, asking about statement for November. Response from Melissa - "The statement will be cut off on the 19th of this month. If you need it before then you can come into the office and put up what we have." Me -"Then there should have been a statement issued for 11/19/25?" Melissa -"Yes you should of received it already. Did you want me to send you a copy of it again ?" Me-"Yes, please send. Did not receive and please make sure that the account is not marked as paperless causing the problem." Me today-"No statement for the Estate account for December yet. Please mail a copy and find out where the mailed statement is. No statement received the dates of 11/19 or the current 12/19." Ended up calling customer service, the account was marked "PAPERLESS"! Careless service and no follow through for the 5th3rd Wheeling bank.

I hate banks I don't care which one, they want to take our money but they (none of them) want to provide the service, I wonder what they would do if we all got fed up and withdrew all of our money and kept it home under our mattresses. The Fifth Third branch in Wheeling used to have a change counting machine. Recently they had it…read moreremoved - the teller told me it was "too much trouble" but they would gladly accept the change I wanted to deposit if I wrapped the coins in rolls they provided. Today I went in and they informed me that they no longer accepted change deposits. The manager told me they were not equipped to handle large change deposits. I had 3 rolls of quarters, 2 rolls of dimes and one roll of nickels - less than $50.00 all together. The manager suggested I take the coins to the change machines at Jewel or Wal-Mart. When I pointed out they take at least a 10% fee off the top he just shrugged his shoulders. I worked in banking for most of my career. Customer Service at Fifth Third is non-existent. Needless to say I will be looking for a more customer friendly bank. There are banks on every corner - you would think they would bend over backwards to accommodate customers.
