I've been banking with Chase since I was in high school. This particular location is literally around the corner from my house. Today, I went in to deposit my work check and withdraw money as well.
Justine assisted me, and she quickly pointed out that I incorrectly filled out the deposit slip. Ok, mistakes happen, big deal. She pushed the slip back to me and told me to write the correct amount. Justine stated, while speaking very loudly, to "put in $446 because you're withdrawing $750." Yes, she loudly spoke the dollar amounts that were in my checking account. I couldn't believe it because that's a huge privacy issue. I immediately told her to avoid saying specific dollar amounts in the future because other customers can hear you. Her response was that no one heard her and that she wasn't loud while throwing the receipt in my direction. Excuse me? Someone could have robbed me at gunpoint because of Justine and her BIG mouth! She didn't care at all when I mentioned the privacy concern, she didn't even bother to apologize. I told her that she was unprofessional and walked away. This was my second time having an issue with Justine. At that point, I decided it would be my last. Afterwards, I visited PNC bank to inquire about their checking account options. I made a formal complaint to Chase and look forward to hearing back.
I also closed both accounts that I had at Chase. Justine's disrespectful attitude and unprofessional behavior caused me to leave Chase. Maria, a very nice and professional personal banker helped me close both accounts -Justine, you can learn a thing or two from Maria. Maria was very pleasant and warm. If she had taken care of me instead of Justine, then I would still bank with Chase. Oh, and to my surprise, Justine is the branch manager! My mouth nearly dropped on the floor. I still can't believe that someone so unprofessional could be a bank manager. She clearly does not appreciate and/or understand her role at Chase as a manager. You are there to generate revenue, it's not about you! Maybe Maria should be promoted and Justine be demoted? How can you manage others when you can't even manage yourself? Justine doesn't care about the customers or her job, her attitude reflects how she truly feels. read more
