Forest Park Bank has been my bank for 40 years. I have never waited in line for any service more than five minutes. When I am banking inside at a teller's window or at the drive-up window, I am always serviced by a friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous bank employee. Eric, Robin, Nora, Pam, Efron, Fernando, Meera, Neeva, and Sibel to name a few are employees who provide outstanding service. Being 83 years old, I always ask them to check my addition. If I made an error, they correct it with a smile. An employee has called me several times at home reminding me my CD needs attention. Another employee provided outstanding service when someone stole my purse with my banking information inside and even called me at home the next day to see how I was feeling. I now live in Arizona so I do all my banking with Forest Park National Bank via the Internet. When I lived in Forest Park I was a frequent visitor to the bank mainly because I loved the atmosphere there. And the people were always nice. Now here in AZ I mostly use the ATM machines. However, I am still connected to Forest Park Bank and they handle most all of my financial transactions. A nice hometown bank with nice people and a great atmosphere. read more

If you want all of the technology of the giant financial institutions, then this bank is not for you. If you want personalized service, a direct line with a live person on the other end to talk to, this is your bank. If you need a commercial loan, there is nothing like having the decision made by people in the building. Large banks gouge consumers and feign "relationships" by pulling out their teller windows and having customers sit at a desk to do business. All they are really doing is stealing your time and trying to sell you something while they have you. I have direct deposit and pay bills online. Any bank can do that so why NOT support a local and locally owned bank? read more

Long waits which is tolerable but an unfriendly teller at her desk who couldn't take a friendly joke made the entire experience horrible.

I am now banking here, a refugee from the US Bank assimilation of Park National Bank. I encourage everyone in the Oak Park/Forest Park area to keep your money local, and away from the big demon banks. These type of banks are the ones that should be called "too important to fail" vs. the big deathstar banks that ended up with all our tax dollars. They have online bill pay just like the big guys do. I drive by Forest Park Bank everyday and today needed some change and wanted to see about opening an account. The teller was so rude I ended up walking out disgusted. Never said hello, never smiled, just a horrible attitude the entire time. Safe to say I won't be opening an account here anytime soon. I like to support local but not if I have to deal with the employees this bank employs. Hoping a Chase moves in next door so there's a decent bank in the neighborhood. read more

Our mother was a member of the bank since the late 70's unfortunately she passed away and my sister and I were left with handling her estate which included several accounts with the bank. While trying to get everything closed out they were less than cordial and accommodating. They continue to make closure difficult even after providing a certified death certificate and proof of power of executor for the estate. I would NEVER recommend banking here. read more

THE WORST BANK IN FOREST PARK! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was thinking of opening an account. I went in to get change for a $20. The clerk asked if i had an account and i stated i did not but was thinking of banking there. She berated me saying I don't have to give you change for anything if you don't have an account. Well that told me right then and there this not the place to bank. Stay clear. read more

I can not think of a worse bank for a small business. There fee structure is crazy it is not uncommon for my business account to be at -50 dollars and have $90 in fees. While I admit the overdrawing is my fault but the fee structure and inability to have anyone respond to me is crazy, on a positive note the tellers are top notch. Bank elsewhere!!! read more

Forest Park Bank is a wonderful small bank with great personal service. Usually you are recognized when you go to the bank. Fees for seniors are zero plus a box of checks without charge whenever needed. Online bill pay is most helpful. We are happy with this bank. We wish the bank would eliminate fees for small business accounts (for example: any month the client has an average balance of $2000, there is not a charge for checking.) That way the bank would have more small businesses. In fact, we would move our business account there, if the bank changed its policy. read more
