Canals and Trails credit union is THE place to do all your banking! You will not be sorry!…read more I just can't possibly say enough nice things about this establishment and the wonderful people who work here! They take the time to get to know you, they recognize you and greet you by name when you come in, they are all very knowledgeable, honest and extremely helpful as well! I never realized just how much money these greedy profit-hungry Banksters have practically stolen from me throughout the years. I only wish I had l joined a Credit Union a LONG time ago! I'd definitely have much more money now. Canals and Trails Credit Union doesn't "fee" you to death, nor charge you up the wazoo for every single service they provide (as all the banks do)! Credit Unions actually ENCOURAGE you to SAVE your money, get and stay out of debt, and become financially secure. Canals and Trails Credit Union offers an ATM/Debit card, just about any service any banks nearby provide (well, except conning you out of your own money every chance they get), many different types of accounts to chose from and different programs available to help you be financially responsible. In the entire history of U.S. credit unions, taxpayer funds have NEVER been used to bail out a credit union! According to Bankrate.com, "Credit unions have topped the consumer satisfaction ratings in American Banker's annual survey for 12 years in a row." Here is a good article explaining the difference between banks and Credit Unions: http://money.howstuffworks.com/personal-finance/banking/difference-between-bank-and-credit-union.htm/printable

The new management is inept. The banking processor for the credit union failed and online services were not accessible for a 1.5 weeks. During that time, the debit cards and automatic payments stopped working. NO explanation, other than processor issues, was given. No sooner than the online banking was restored, the CEO decides to revamp the website taking the website down again for home users. That is not very good planning or management. The CEO should step down. Their bank processor should be fired ASAP. Lastly, they have the gall to send 'non-use' notice for not using the BILLPAY system, Somebody is asleep at the switch.

Riverside Bank also welcomes people by always having cookies, coffee, and cream at a little table near the counter. I love that! I may or may not have indulged in that this afternoon when going to the bank with my mom. If I ever need to open up another bank account, I would certainly be inclined to choose to open one up here. I'm glad Riverside has a local option for the banking needs of local residents. In my case, Riverside Bank is within an easy walking distance of my home.
