I can't / won't recommend them due to the sole fact that they refuse to release you from your contract in the event of a long-distance move. At the end of my second year, my fiancee and I moved out of the DFW area to another city several hours away. I would have been happy to transfer my service to our new address. Although DFW Security doesn't offer service in that market they refused to release me from my contract. I was given the option of 1) transferring my service to my new address 2) transferring the service and remaining balance of my contract to a friend or family member still in the DFW area or 3) transferring it to my previous home's new owner. Since none of those was an option, I ended up paying $252 to buy out the final 12 months of my contract. Most companies will release you from your service agreement without penalty if you provide proof of relocation outside their service area. Be warned that isn't the case with DFW Security. They're polite and make it easy to end your contract, but the entire process still left me feeling a bit put-off.
