We waited nearly two hours (1hr and 45 minutes if we're counting) for our food despite our party of three placing our order within five minutes of entering. The restaurant had no more than a dozen patrons, all of whom seemed to be treated well, and I have to believe it was because of the way they looked. Our server delivered mine and another order, but seemed to forget all about the third member of our group, who does not pass as white/straight/conservative . After a rude reply to a question about our food and 40 minutes later we had to wave down our server (as she was checking on another table certainly not us). We let her know we were still waiting on a burger and she said she had "forgotten" to put it in. Mistakes happen, but after already waiting 40 minutes for a burger, we had to wait for an additional 30 minutes for cold food and not even a cursory apology. Our expensive bill, which was not discounted in the slightest, bought us cold food, poor service, and a side of discrimination. I am so disappointed on both my own and my friend's beha

Do you want a great breakfast? This is your place. Stopped here while waiting for my dog to be…read moregroomed and I was not disappointed. Fantastic service and some of the best coffee I've had. I love breakfast bowls and they had a few to choose from, so I selected one of those along with a blueberry pancake. I normally don't gravitate to our pancakes, but I had to try since I had a few different options. I just got one, but that was plenty with my breakfast bowl. I chose the blueberry pancake and it was one of the best I've had. The breakfast bowl came out nice and hot with great flavors and a couple eggs on top. Everything was just fantastic. The ambience is what you would expect from a local diner. I will definitely be back so give it a try if you're in town.

ATTENTION GLUTEN ALLERGIES! The stars reflect a celiac response, not the food or service. If you…read morearen't sensitive to gluten, you should definitely eat here, because the food is delicious and the service is friendly. It's a wonderful local spot. The first time we went to The Nest, it was great for me -- the server also has celiac, and clearly looked out for me -- I did not get sick. I had the Big Bacon omelet, and my husband had the Gyro -- both enormous servings and delicious. My husband and I were so excited, because we've only been able to find a handful of restaurants that actually take food allergies seriously. The second time, when I told our server I have a severe gluten allergy (because most people genuinely do not know what celiac is . . .), she nonchalantly said "ok." I ordered the Cheesy Cheese; my husband had the Breakfast Burrito. While both were delicious (my husband couldn't finish his and said it was one of the best Breakfast Burritos he's eaten!), I barely made it to the BP gas station down the road before I got sick, and I was sick for 6 days! 6 days means DIRECT contamination -- either someone put toast on my plate and then took it off, or some other form of a direct hit with wheat/rye/barley (which could be soy sauce; "food" starch," etc.) It's so frustrating. I really try to do my best and order things that should be simple -- no sauces; no dressings -- if the kitchen and server take it seriously. It isn't a dietary choice -- believe me, my life would be much easier (and much more pleasant), if I did not have this disease. Sadly, we can't go back.
