These ladies…read morediscriminate against out of state IDs and hold up valid customers because they personally don't find your ID to be valid even after checking their book of state IDs. They didn't even look at a military ID though scanned it right away without looking it up, but are eager to turn away valid out of state IDs. I will never go here again. I was told I should "take it as a compliment" that they had to look up my out of state ID, when the actual reason she "needed" to pull out her validation book to verify my ID was "IDs aren't supposed to bend" but it scans just fine and I'm clearly of age regardless.3 visits in a row as if she forgot about harassing me the previous visits. She said "here we go again". Well here I go again leaving a review and contacting the better business bureau.

I love shopping at Rozi's…read more At a time when it was difficult to track down Cappelletti, I would call ahead to find out when their next shipment would be. Thus thanks to the patience and communication from staff at Rozi's, my negroni's were always complete. They have a great selection of wine at different price points. Towards the back of the store are a selection of small items to accompany a charcuterie board. They carry a selection of beers, and serve many at them at their bar. It was nice to spend one afternoon doing a tasting flight to pick the perfect six pack. They even carry hard-to-get and pricier brews, including a variety from Alaska. Whether stopping by for a quick purchase or seeking to spend a slower day getting to know the staff and selection, stop by.

Rozi's is a wine house located inside the historic Cook Office Building in the heart of Lakewood…read more The wine bar is pretty popular. I visited this wine bar on multiple occasions including most recently during Lakewood Chocolate Walk. AMBIANCE: Wine market meets casual wine bar. Dainty tables between wine aisles, small bar, and enclosed patio-like are your seating options. Most guests seem to be friend groups. Vibes and dress are casual. The building houses Rozi's Wine on the lower level, and various offices on the other floors. The includes beauty salon, and medical services. If you're visiting the building for any of the service you can just easily take the elevator down to Rozi's. Cook Office Building is supposedly haunted! WINE: Rozi's has a huge variety of wine for all budgets. There is a section of under $20 wines. Then an aisle away there is Dom Perignon. They also sell various beers from all the world (on tap and in cans). You can purchase wine by the bottle or by glass. I always opt into the glass option, which usually costs $10-12. You can also try samples to see if you'll like an entire bottle or glass. New options are constantly added to the menu. I tried the new orange wine from Sicily, Italy ($11). It was okay but not a favorite. It was pretty bland to me, not bold like I'd expect. Then again I have never had orange wine so take this with a grain of salt. I haven't yet discovered any memorable wines here. SERVICE: The service is transactional. I never feel like I can engage in a conversation about wine. I wish there would be more warmth. If you're looking for wine before dining on Detroit Road or need a bottle to go, this is your place. It's the only locally owned place I've seen on the West Side with such extensive selection.

I am always polite, and you would be hard-pressed to find a more predictable, low-maintenance customer--I buy the same thing almost every time and end the transaction with "thank you" and drive away. The weekday/morning cashier with the dark hair is quick and efficient, but she is also consistently rude. She seems annoyed if I ask even the most basic question, which I rarely do. I understand that people who work with the public frequently deal with other difficult people. But taking that frustration out on polite, long-term regular customers is just bad business. I was willing to overlook the attitude for a very long time, but after ten years of this, I'll be going elsewhere.

This place always has lots of different styles and they separate them by style for the most part. Good selection of sodas and snacks too. They do wine as well but Ill let someone else review that part of it. Thank God wine gluten free. I have seen a food truck outside on random days which is nice if you happen to be strutting down Detroit and Cozumel next door seems too mainstream for ya. Only reason this place looses 2 stars is so many times I have been in here they have been BLASTING country music. Not everyone has jumped on that bandwagon for soulless, radio-friendly pop-country yet so keep it in your pickup. That's the equivalent of a store blasting Death Metal when people walk in. Not everyone's cup of tea. Maybe some Hall N Oats to sooth my spending experience? So my advice is, stop in for a sixer of beer on your way to a party or BBQ but do it quick because the Suburban cowboy music may make ya wanna puke....
