Giant Burrito
Marsha Z.

We ordered a couple of giant burritos to go. We got shredded chicken for the protein, it came with rice, choice of beans, cheese, lettuce, charo sauce and pico. I didn't realize but after we brought it home we saw it came with a side of chips and the pico salsa on the side (not pictured). It was pretty big and filling, good amount of chicken and a good balance of the ingredients. Pretty flavorful and the chicken was tender. I would definitely get again!

Moe's Moe's Famous Potato with carne asada

Charo Chicken in Huntington Beach is one of those places that's been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've been coming here since I was little with my mom, and it still hits every single time. If you're thinking El Pollo Loco, think that... but way better. The chicken is always juicy, perfectly grilled, and full of flavor. You get three sauce options: BBQ, the lemon garlic, and spicy cayenne lemon garlic and trust me--the lemon garlic is THE move. It's rich, tangy, and insanely addictive. Quick heads up for any dairy-conscious or allergy folks: it is a garlic butter lemon sauce, but you can always ask for the sauce on the side. The workers here go above and beyond for all their customers! The sides deserve serious praise. The beans and rice are top tier, and I love that they offer both black and pinto beans (such an underrated win). The flour tortillas are soft, warm, and taste freshly made, which makes the meal even better. And don't skip the guacamole--you can get it as a side and it's SO good, fresh, and creamy. I also recently tried Moe's Famous Potato and WOW. It's an open-faced baked potato loaded with pico de gallo, guacamole, cheese, and their iconic lemon garlic sauce--basically a loaded baked potato, Charo-style. I swapped the chicken for carne asada, and it honestly tasted like carne asada fries but with a baked potato instead. Absolute game changer. I LOVED it. Sooooo good. This place is comforting, nostalgic, and consistently delicious. A true HB staple and a spot I'll always come back to. If you haven't been yet, you're seriously missing out

We went this past Friday August 29th here at Flecha for happy hour. Like I said, first time here. We had an eventful afternoon sprinkled with niceties coming from pretty much everyone there. First, like many other reviews here, we were greeted with peach margaritas served on mimosa glasses. We sat at a table closed to the bar and service was prompt. The guys running the bar (Josh and Joe), were very attentive and provided good explanation about food and drinks. So did Chris the manager who stopped by our table with complimentary guacamole and also provided advice about the different plates and what to order, what was popular, etc... At no point we had to wait for service, drinks, food...everything was nice and in a very relaxed atmosphere. We are making plans to come back and try other things in the menu. Thus, Flecha was added to the rotation.

They should serve in larger glasses honestly! We ended up ordering 6 appetizers. Outstanding was the Pistachio Goat cheese, taquitos. Boring was the guacamole and sadly the queso fundido. It was overcooked. The Brunch looks great so we will be back to try that and hopefully will be delicious. Our server Brittany was excellent. Knowledgeable and honest about her personal favorites. We will give this place another chance

Not even the complimentary fake restaurant "Hi, how are you guys?" Straight to business. I respect efficiency, but maybe sprinkle a little hospitality on top. First, I'll give them this: the place itself is pretty cool. Fun atmosphere, cool interior, definitely has some personality. The tables, though? Dirty. Normally I'd understand if the place was slammed and everybody was running around. Except one cashier was taking orders while the other employee was just standing there texting. My friend... the tables are asking for you. Put the phone down, grab a sani rag, give one of them a little love. You don't need to deep clean the building--just make me feel like my forearms aren't about to become part of the previous guest's meal. Food-wise? Meh. The flavors were actually pretty good, but some of the chips weren't fully cooked through. And the tri-tip? Let's just say "tri-tip" was doing some heavy lifting on that menu description. Then we went to get ice. Nothing. Zero ice. I understand they're currently transitioning and moving across the way, so I'm willing to give some grace there. But no ice? Guys... CVS is across the way. I'm pretty sure they sell bags of it. Sometimes the solution doesn't require a manager meeting. Overall, the service wasn't terrible. It wasn't great either. It was just... meh. And unfortunately, that describes most of the experience. The frustrating part is the place itself is cool and the food has some decent flavor. The little things are what killed it for me: dirty tables while someone is texting, no ice, undercooked chips, and basically no hospitality from the jump. Nothing individually is catastrophic. But stack enough little things together and eventually you're sitting there wondering why you came in. Venue: Pretty cool Food: Meh, but decent flavor Service: Not bad, definitely not great Chips: Some needed another date with the fryer Tri-tip: We need to discuss the definition of tri-tip Ice machine: Thoughts and prayers Dirty tables + employee texting: Come on now Maybe once the move is finished they'll tighten everything up. My partner wanted to try it. We tried it. Mission accomplished. For us, we'll stick with Prime or Los Cholos.

It is from Monday to Friday from 2-6 and they have a taco bar that you just can't pass up. We got the loaded asada fries, birria tacos, and chicken tacos all from the happy hour menu. You can also add on grilled onions, jalapeños, salsas, cilantro, etc.. We also got a couple of alcoholic drinks. I specifically got the strawberry slushie margarita and it was super refreshing. It was also huge for only $10! All in all, I had a great time. We were celebrating a birthday and the employees sang to them and gave them a little dessert! I will definitely be back to enjoy more delicious Mexican foods off the menu.
