They are out west and worth the drive and have been in business for 34 years. Great customer service. Competitive pricing and they used CarQuest Platinum Rotors and Pads. After installation they took my Jeep for a 30 minute drive doing the proper break in of the new brakes. I was greeted by Steve and Shane the shop manager. At pick up we met Bobby the owner and had a great conversation with him. Having raced Porsche's for 12 years and used to do my own brakes and now due to multiple surgeries I'm physically unable to do my own work. In the past both of my jeeps have been serviced, strictly by the dealership in California and now my Jeep Cherokee is in Florida. Talked to Shane today about their brake in process and these guys know what they are doing. Will use them for my automotive needs on my Florida Vehicle. They also accept third party warranty reimbursements. Great team!

Speaking from experience, it probably WILL break down anyway so just have another place in mind and familiarize yourself with Small Claims if you do decide to go with them for any demented reason. Our truck broke down on the way to Miami and we ended up having to call a tow truck that took us into St. Lucie Automotive. They said they would call us and never did. We were constantly calling them to find out what was going on with our vehicle because days went by with no word from them. Every day they said it would be done, we would call to be sure and they'd push it back, this went on for 1.5 weeks. When it finally was ready, the shocking $1,800 bill came to us. Not only that, but our car was COVERED in oily stains from the men who worked on it... what the hell were they doing iNSIDE the car? I have no idea and the owner "Jeremy" stood by his men saying they would never do that. Then how do you explain the oil in our car? They also broke the nob on our AC and wouldn't admit to it. They said they just tested it out and that it must have been broken when they came in. BULL! We paid the outrageous prices for a broken water pump and headed back 2 hours away to our home in Orlando when our car overheated yet again and started shooting fluids everywhere. We took it into the nearest Toyota dealership who said it was the clutch that had issues that broke the water pump and caused the other issues that the oily St. Lucie guys missed in the first place. Then, St. Lucie Automotive installed our radiator hose in UPSIDE DOWN causing $1,800 MORE in damages to our truck! It took two days in the shop to fix but actually worked after coming out of the Toyota shop. I'm in the process of filing a Small Claims suit with St Lucie Automotive because Jeremy is such a jerk, he won't claim any responsibility and continues to argue and say it is impossible for him to do anything wrong, or his guys. He didn't care if they made our inside of our car oily, or broke an AC nob and of course it is just impossible for them to mistakes at their shop. Bull. I will never use that dealership EVER again and would not trust Jeremy as far as I could throw him. He was a total jerk over the phone before he even knew there was a problem, and their customer service is completely lacking. I walked into their office and asked if they had a restroom and the guy behind the desk barely looked up when he said, "How do I know, I don't work here." Stay away from this scam of a place. You're lucky if your car makes it off the lot.

My wife took her car there a while back for regular basic maintenance, check the tires and an oil change. The guy running this spot is named Jerry and he told her the price for the oil change and to rotate the tires. When she went to pick up the car later, Jerry told her that the alignment had to be done along with the shocks and the struts. Long story short the bill was almost $1500. She called me on the phone very upset. I went over there to speak to Jerry because neither of us had given him the approval to make any such repairs! We live in a fixed budget and our grand kids are coming to visit soon. When I tried to speak with Jerry he started arguing with me telling me that my wife had actually approved it. He said that maybe she doesn't remember now but that's a personal issue for her because maybe her memory isn't well? What the heck is he trying to say? It was a horrible experience and I'll never go back there again. I felt as if I'd been robbed and my wife is still upset about it. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY BUSINESS. They're a predatory business and Jerry is a nasty person.

It's taken me awhile to write this since I do have other life priorities than writing reviews. But here it finally is. After they changed my front brakes, and let them convince me the rotors needed changed but...did not. What was I thinking?! Anyway...finally had funds to get the rear brakes done. Was given an estimate but then AFTER the brakes were done & I got the bill it was $200 higher (I realize and estimate is just that) however $200 when they couldn't get the ones quoted so got the more expensive ones, without telling me First! Considering I am barely surviving on SS (which they were aware of my financial constraints) but even if not...they should've told me BEFORE they did the job giving me the option to reschedule!! It wasn't a dire emergency! It wouldn't been the smart decision...it's just poor business sense if one really cares about retaining a customer! On top of that, the rotors unlike the front ones which aren't near as bad, have the greatest amount of brake dust I've ever experienced on my 19 yo car...it accumulates in less than 2 days! They constantly need Cleaned it's so horrendous and unsightly...and for $200 MORE?!?! Plus they Screech when I brake!! Unacceptable & Inexcusable!!
