We are part timers in Vero Beach and we had brake pads and rotors replaced Thursday at Bobby's Auto Service at 1835 82nd Ave on my 2018 Jeep Cherokee. They are out west and worth the drive and have been in business for 34 years. Great customer service. Competitive pricing and they used CarQuest Platinum Rotors and Pads. After installation they took my Jeep for a 30 minute drive doing the proper break in of the new brakes. I was greeted by Steve and Shane the shop manager. At pick up we met Bobby the owner and had a great conversation with him. Having raced Porsche's for 12 years and used to do my own brakes and now due to multiple surgeries I'm physically unable to do my own work. In the past both of my jeeps have been serviced, strictly by the dealership in California and now my Jeep Cherokee is in Florida. Talked to Shane today about their brake in process and these guys know what they are doing. Will use them for my automotive needs on my Florida Vehicle. I called on a Saturday they where closed but there was a cell number of Marshall which i called. He said he was going into the shop and would stop by my house and take a look at my problem. Got to my house diagnosed the blow fuse problem was able to get me back up and running in a couple of hours if your not using these guys your missing the boat, Bobby's has my business from now on I'm a raving fan! read more

I called because I'm having issues with my TPMS sensor. They were as kind as can be very straightforward that they were busy, but could squeeze me in later that day... I showed up to the shop and they were getting hammered. They treated me with nothing but kindness and respect. They did not sugarcoat anything. Mr. Robert was very straightforward. I will be taking my vehicle/vehicles to get my work done from these guys . Unfortunately, they were not able to fix the issue until I get new tires (my issue not them)! and the fact they didn't charge me a dime when they're getting crushed during season tells you everything you need to know about this company . Horrible experience, will never recommend this clueless shop! Brought in a Audi Q5 for a tuneup,oil change,filters,spark plugs and they added injector cleaner in my engine and less than 10miles driving car starting to have severe misfires. Marshall the front desk guy is equal 0 Shortly after they told me the chain jumped off ???!!?? I was stunned. Kept the car there 1 week and they told me,I will need a new engine. $6400 ( with a discount) after paying $360 for such horrible experience. Took the car away from their hands paid towing and went to another mechanic to end up finding put engine is still ok and not totalled ,just need to change the whole cylinder head and valves. $2500 I went back to tell them WHY THEY ADDED THAT POISON WITHOUT MY CONSENT and Marshall told me he does for all cars,and it's helping the engine???!! I don't drive a boat or a Fiat, I repeated myself,I came here for a tuneup sparks oil,filter, and you guys fkd my car to simply hear Bobby(the owner,a 300 lbs useless man) firing that I need to GET OUT OF HIS PROPERTY ). Bobby and his fine team are easy given a 5 stars. Had a low beam head light out in our 2006 Forester out and my original mechanic gave me an estimate of $150. Upon the recommendation of a person and my verification of Bobby's favorable reviews, he lived up to his reputation. He quoted me $75 with the bulb. He wasn't busy and took the car right away. After raising the hood and before removing the battery, he made sure all of the connections were solid. Magic, the light worked. There was no charge. I asked him for a few estimates on several repairs that the Dealer recommended that the car needed. In all cases, he was between 40 -50% cheaper and he said on two repairs they weren't needed. As a 30 year Navy vet, fighter pilot, I trust Bobby and his Auto care. He now has another customer. read more

Needed an oil change while visiting family about a month back and Bobby's was able to fit me in. They were straight forward about if they could squeeze me in that day and gave me options in order to leave me satisfied. I get synthetic oil and paid less than I usually do in Massachusetts. Due to the outstanding quality & service from everyone at Bobby's, I came back for a TPMS service issue just today. I brought my 1980 Corvette in for a safety check and estimate for repair. I was told that Bobby was out of town but that he would call with the cost of repairs for needed work. I was advised that the car would be safe to drive until we got the repair estimate. Less than a mile down the road, the car broke down in the middle of route 60. When I called Bobby's, their response was, "it's not our fault, call a tow truck." I had the car towed back to their shop and they replaced a cracked distributor cap. Needless to say, Bobby never even got back to me with the repair estimate. read more

I would give Bobby a 5 star review and here's why. My mother and I the last 6 years have brought our cars to him. Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Hyundai genesis, Evo X, and an Audi S4. This man has fixed any issue we have brought him. Labor prices of 100/hour is really not that bad considering the reliability and consistency he offers. All in all, definitely would recommend his work for any of your car's issues within the Vero beach area. read more

This shop has hidden fees. They make mistakes and won't correct for free. In the past they have had employees that don't make it to work after a night out. If you have a problem the lady there will just walk away rudely. read more

All I can say is this is the best automotive mechanic I've ever been to and I'm seventy years old.

If there were negative stars, Bobby's would get one or more. My 96 YO mother's car had been sitting for about 18 months and wouldn't start. She had used Bobby's in the past (although she complained about the service) so we reached out to Bobby's for help. When the lady answered the phone she was too busy to listen to the problems with the car and asked that I call back the following day. The next day she was again too busy to listen but did get the gist that the car needed to be picked up, but clearly didn't listen well enough to understand it needed more than just a jump start. She said she'd have someone over to the apartment that afternoon. No one showed up. Calling the next day she passed the call to the technician who was scheduled to look at the car and he launched into a diatribe about how busy he was, the extra person he needed to come with him and he didn't know what he was supposed to do with the car. After he calmed down I explained that it wouldn't start and needed a once-over to see if there were any other issues. He said he'd pick it up the next day. Unannounced, he came by that day and fetched the car. The car was returned the following morning with a new battery and a $220 invoice. No mention of any other problems. When we visited Grandma about a week later and tried to drive the car, the check engine light was on, the A/C blew hot air, the front brake rotors were warped, AND the car would not rev above 2500 RPM (loop mode) making it nearly impossible to drive. Needless to say, Bobby's has been scratched from any future work. read more

Bobby's shop helped me out big time. I was on my way to Orlando to start a new job. Pulled off the highway to get gas and my truck was making crazy noises out of nowhere. I found them on Google maps and the minuet I pulled making noise and all these guys just put my truck on the lift right away to figure out the problem. I needed a running light replaced in my BMW and another shop told me I needed a whole new lighting unit and it would be several hours of labor to replace it. The estimate was several hundred dollars. I took it to Bobby's for a second opinion and they fixed it on the spot right before closing for the day with just a new light bulb and some 90 degree needle nose pliers to reach the bulb. They only charged me for a light bulb and no service charge. I was shocked. I will be going there for all my car service needs from now on. They are very trustworthy and nice honest people. read more

My daughter was in Vero Beach on vacation when the water pump on her car failed. When it did, the serpentine belt broke as did a fitting on the A/C. I dealt with Bobby's long distance from my home in Pennsylvania. I could have been told it needed a bunch of things... and therefore charged... with little ability to verify what was done. At one point, Bobby's called me and told me the work that was needed was actually less than the estimate they initially gave, saving me $500. Bobby's could have charged me for the estimated amount and I probably would not have found out, but they were honest. Kudos! read more

I am new to Vero Beach (September 2014). I needed my AC repaired. I tried to do the Walmart add freon yourself approach and followed the directions on the can. The meter on the can indicated that I should not add freon and that it needed to be serviced... i.e., I was expecting a big repair bill. I went to Bobby's and they checked it out. Turned out the system needed freon. My bill was less than $100. So, I rate them as very honest and knowledgeable. read more

Wouldn't recommend Bobby's Automotive to my worst enemy!! I was charged over 550 dollars for repairs on my vehicle. I was lead to believe my car would be safely operable. It wasn't. Brought my car back only to be told I needed another 400 dollars worth of work to fix what should have already been repaired!! I feel totally misled and taken atvantage. read more

I had taken my car there once before and I felt that I was over charged but I could drive my car. So when it started missing really bad again, I took it back and after they worked on it this time and again I was over charged and now I cant drive it at all until I get the head done and maybe even a motor.
