Its tahini cookies, protein balls and ready-to-go salads are a fresh change and a great energy boost for pre-shopping gusto. I stopped in during a lunch time rush which made everything a little slower. There were only two staff on duty (one making smoothies, the other serving) and with the volume of customers, you could tell they were just getting by. That said, I wouldn't have waited any more than 5-10 minutes for my smoothie. Not wanting lunch, but needing something to tide me over while I ran a few errands in the centre, I opted for a tahini cookie (like a healthier and seed-dense Anzac cookie) and a 'Healthy Start' smoothie of bananas, strawberries, kale and protein powder. Combined, they did the trick and there's the added bonus of feeling nourished, not nauseas after snacking on something full of nutritious ingredients. TL;DR? Order my favourite smoothie, The Destresser (Banana, coconut milk, cacao powder)

Customer service was average and it is obviously too much to ask for a smile or a personality from the servers as they did not look happy to be there and had a one tone voice that I find irritating. Basically their main option is health smoothies or juice's, have not tried theirs but have made my own at home with the same ingredients so should be good. The few salads they have look great.

As someone with some scientific expertise in what is natural and what is good, I find this is overly simplistic and misleading. Nonetheless, if you drop in, I suspect you'll find that it holds true for everything they have here. I have tried a few local smoothie places, and while this isn't the cheapest one, it seems clearly the best. Of course, anyone can throw some stuff in a blender; I suspect juice bars persist largely because it's difficult for most of us to manage the logistics of keeping fresh fruit at home. But here, they're not just doing the grunt work for you, they're bringing some serious skill to the table. Could I use dragonfruit and coconut and get something that looks and tastes like bubblegum? I'm guessing not. Could I duplicate their wondrous "whipped fruit", a sort of fresh coconut ice cream made right in front of me? Not a chance. Their creations are both delicious and innovative, and I've not found an average one yet (and I've tried quite a few). The proprietor says he's from Brazil, which would explain why he is so good with topical fruits. It's a neighborhood vibe kind of place, and there's a decent chance of free samples. If something is on special, I suggest trying it. Most of what they use is fresh fruit and nut milks and coconut water and they are mostly vegan (save for a few clearly labeled pastries), making this establishment friendly to most customers. Besides their smoothies and bowls, a mouthwatering assortment of salads and baked desserts beckons. I still haven't tried any of those for fear of getting addicted, and if it instead turns out that they're terribly underwhelming in some way, I suppose I'll go back and revise this place's rating down again. Doesn't seem likely.

Yet here I sat in The Single Guys, conversations echoing from each corner of the cafe that was full of people enjoying coffees and ordering from a wholesome menu with choices like a blueberry bagel with vanilla ricotta and honey, or swiss brown mushrooms, fetta, asparagus with fig vincotto on sourdough. Staff did a beautiful dance from table to table in their unofficial uniforms of a white tee, jeans and black cons. All complimented by their dark grey aprons against the navy and white walls of this unassuming but ready to be recognised cafe. From Moggill Road you might miss it so keep an eye out for their mascot, a lone deer on a sign. One of the owners tell me the stag is a play on the image being a symbol of bachelor life, although their name is more of an ode to their house blend being a combination of single origin beans. Despite the clean and hipsterific interior, the crowd here is mixed: young and old alike. It's a great hub of activity. I ordered the mushroom toastie which was the perfect breakfast or light lunch, and on a hot Summers day their Iced V60 black coffee was the deliciously mellow drink I needed to befriend on a day like today. And the flat white was perfection in a white china cup.
