I love that their desserts are not overwhelmingly sweet, but still satisfies my food cravings. If I'm not mistaken they freshly bake their goodies in house, and deliver to their other locations. My favorite thing to get is their dessert sandwiches, especially the red velvet oreo sandwich with cream cheese frosting. What I like to do when I can resist eating it right away. I put it in the freezer for a couple hours. The frosting will freeze a little, and the whole thing tastes like an icecream sandwich. I'm really glad despite the pandemic they are still open and well! They are such a cute little shop, and some of their locations are in mall food courts. Please continue to support small businesses, black owned businesses, and women owned businesses! :) I gave this place a chance, and now its become one of my favorite places to get a quick treat!

They are so much fun to eat. The price is nice for this little snack dessert, two for five dollars, I got a half dozen of whoopie pies for $15.00. The whoopie pies and the cupcakes are very moist, they are baked fresh everyday. Velvet Mama is located inside Stonecrest Mall, they have two locations in this mall a cart downstairs on the first floor and a larger counter style upstairs with more cake selections. My favorite is lemon laughter which is offered on Thursday and Fridays. I also love blueberry whoopie pie. Keylime Is a favorite of mine also. I think blueberry and keylime whoopie or cupcakes are offered everyday. My least favorite is the Salted Caramel. The staff is always friendly. I was told they sale whole cakes also.

Landed on this place on accident, but was happy we did!…read more Location: This spot is in Old Downtown Lithonia. If you're the explorer type and like to see cute quaint towns, come here. People stared a lot, but it truly seemed out of curiosity because it seemed like a tight community, which we don't really see anymore. The shop: Very Instagram worthy. When I saw the place, I knew they sold cupcakes or something. A place that fun looking doesn't sell vegan entrees, but VEGAN options are available! Didn't see that coming... Customer service: We we're helped by Tamika. As soon as we got there, she opened the little window and greeted us with a big smile. They chose the right person to greet customers. She seemed so down to earth and eager to make our experience awesome. We appreciated that since we landed on this place after departing early from the 2022 Carnival nearby. Desserts: I tried to take a pic of as much as the menu as possible. For such a small shop, they have a lot of options. We got the Dole frozen sherbet (pineapple, pomegranate, and orange). BF loved my pomegranate (which he proceeded to keep dipping into) and I thought the pineapple tasted so superb! Never tasted a better pineapple sherbet, and I'm a sugar head, so that's a lot of comparisons. Would I recommend? Absolutely. Will I be back? Most likely. It's such a cool spot to hang out. Seems also very kid friendly and dog friendly. Enjoy!

It sucked because I was looking forward to trying them again. If they are open, maybe there's some information that I am missing?

I really hate to do this as i plan on reaching out to Mo, but i haven't had the opportunity yet,…read morebut, the second order a few weeks ago was really surprisingly disappointing. I ordered turkey wings, which, i asked for 4 Turkey wings smothered in gravy etc. The bill, $90 ok no worries as the food was great the first time. When the food was delivered, there were 4 individual trays with 1 Turkey wing, mac and cheese and cabbage, but, wait, this was supposed to be a single order with 4 Turkey wings. On top of that there was no smothered turkey wings, they were browned and very tough, which i couldn't eat. They needed to finish cooking in order to tenderize them. I was truly disappointed, all the way around.
