Still 5 stars...so amazing that I had to reconfirm it for you months later after my previous 5 star…read morereview. This is my favorite cheesesteak in ALL of NY and the custom made options you would not get in Philly so arguably this is even better than Philly. There mac and cheese is top tier as well. Also the mozzarella sticks are an affordable and delicious app. Protip: Get extra whiz and put it on when reheating it as this is a filling meal. Also their chipotle mayo is made in house and is very good. URGENT: Get Delivery, don't parking I am updating this review because I got Crotty's yesterday and it was amazing yet again but I learned If you park in McDonalds parking lot (because it is near Crottys) a man with no tow truck boots your car and demands $50 cash to unboot it as its private property as you can't leave the property even if you get McDonald's too. Don't roll the dice and avoid Evil Scammers/crowded streets and simply order delivery from Crotty's. Any delivery fees from the apps are well worth it. If you are in Iona college or high school there are discounts. If it is walking distance for you I 100% think you should check it out in person too. No one can keep me from getting the best cheesesteak ever!!! 5 stars!!!

That's parent speak for I'm too tired to cook. Heard about Crotty's a year or so ago and loved the father- daughter story. I had high hopes. Wasn't bad. Wasn't great either. We ordered 3 traditional cheesesteaks, 2 fries and 3 waters. $60 dollars. To be fair, the portions are big so I felt although I spent more than I expected, I wasn't gypped. But I also think this was a missed opportunity as the food could easily been better. Fries rocked, I usually don't like coated fries but these were very good... hot... crispy... yum. Bread was not that special but the meat was plentiful and juicy, could of had more onions. The cheese was Whiz, although it didn't taste as good as I remembered. I hope it was real whiz, contrary to what others reviewed... Real Cheese Whiz isn't cheap. And it's definitely a thing on Philly's but I didn't see any other cheese options on the menu. I would have preferred provolone or white American. The cook put way too much cheese on which definitely overpowered the meat. I'm still not sure how the bill hit $60, perhaps I should have taken the receipt. Seemed like a lot of money regardless of the giant portions. I'll be back again to see if this was just an off night but only if I'm in the area. I am truly sorry this wasn't an epic experience. Update: I appreciate the owner reaching out so quickly, that is so refreshing. 10 minutes to be exact. To answer your question... we came to the store, so no hefty fees, just your menu. Sounds like you think the bill was wrong too. We came to your place as I think the delivery companies take way too much from the business and try to support local small businesses.

Their reputation was well earned. I got the authentic cheesesteaks with cooper sharp American and cooper sharp pepper American along with onions and sweet peppers and a side of Old Bay fries at the bartender's recommendation. The roll was fresh baked with a crispy out shell and soft and fluffy center, which held all the flavors. All of the ingredients were fresh, with meat pouring out of the sandwich and served piping hot. I ate every last bite despite being too full to do so. The bartender was awesome to everyone!! I requested a soda water with a lime. He took the time to add fresh lime juice to the drink, knowing that last the taste I ultimately wanted. Club soda with lime is my go to drink and I've never had someone even offer to do that. The decor is Philly sports bar themed as one would expect a cheesesteak restaurant to be but it wasn't over the top. This is best cheesesteak I've ever had that wasn't served under a bridge in Philly.

You can tell the owners are from Philly all the decor paid homage to everything Philly. The service was great it wasn't very busy but the server was very knowledgeable, which is a big deal to me. His recommendations were on point. The cheesesteak itself was hot, fresh and flavorful. The meat was tender and the bread was fresh. I would definitely return when I'm in New York!

This simple makeup of ribeye, cheese, onions, and fresh bread is what makes the sandwich so alluring to anyone. A great cheesesteak requires an even mixing of the parts. That means the cheese is melted and mixed with each crevice of the beef and onions. The bread encases the entirety. Every single bite should be consistent with the last and the next. However, in Jersey, one might think the best cheesesteaks only come from the boardwalks. Voted the Best Cheesesteak in Bergen County according to their website, my partner and I decided to pay a visit to Bob-O's Cheesesteaks, located on Main Street in Ridgefield Park, for lunch. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the staff at a simple and clean interior. Lighting is basic and bright with a row of full windows with single seating providing a more spacious feel as well as 4 tables indoors and 5 tables for outdoor dining during pleasant weather. Their big-size menu is featured on the wall with cheesesteaks, egg rolls, sides, and much more. We decided on the Bob-O Sandwich, Chicken Cutlet Sandwich, and Onion Rings. Food was prepared fresh per order. The sandwiches were really delicious and served hot. However, the peppers used on the Bob-O killed it. It looked like roasted peppers from the jar were used and not the fresh peppers sautéed with onion. The onion rings were hot, crispy with no oil or sogginess and didn't skimp. The portions were huge, and the price was comparable to the area. Service was fast and friendly. Despite this hiccup, we would give this place another try.
