This was a Michigan Bucket List adventure for us! We both love breweries and going on adventures. If I set my mind to something, trust me, I will make it happen. Last year, I found out about Beaver Island and a little brewery located on it. Of course, I had to get there! lol I shared my findings with Partner In Crime and guess what....we chartered a flight to the island with Fresh Air! Wow!!! What an amazing experience! From the moment I called the great folks at this lovely airline it was the start of a chain reaction of amazing experiences. I'll be looking for excuses to fly with them again, if only all air travel were this great The owners and staff at each step from my confusion about anything Beaver Island (first visit) to scheduling, fares, parking arrangements, type of plane, weights, return travel (I wanted to take the ferry back as a part of my experience and they were so helpful in guiding me through things, genuinely great people) and even gave me many amazing suggestions and recommendations that were spot on. The entire team was friendly accommodating, had a sense of humor, and professional. The views were spectacular, the other passengers (they have great clients too, also locals, residents and regulars Likes attract Likes, right), and the pilot, despite how crazy busy they were, was enjoying himself and the gorgeous day, I can't say I blame him thanks to the folks here I have fallen in love with these little planes (they proved to me there was nothing to be nervous about, talk about a 360) and will find another excuse to take this airline around their service area. I also found out that I'm more impatient than I thought and the almost 3 hours boat ride back versus the views and thrill of the brief plane ride can't compare. They gave me 3 more hours to explore than I would've had otherwise to experience the island. I don't think I'll ever take the ferry again, I'm sold on this place and the all around experience and customer service you get.

We knew the marina was clean, nice people there, well run and great services, not to mention beautiful and very well kept. Once we really started to travel around from state to state and visited many marina's we realized how much nicer this marina is. The showers and changing rooms are perfect and part of the bathroom (which is great if you have little kids, like me). There is a really nice park right next door and 2 great sandy beach areas just to the north and to the south. Take your pick! The water is clean and aquarium-esc. A few kelp beds, but hey... They help keep the water clean. In July it fills up quick, so get their before noon, hopefully you'll get a slip, if not, and you have a smaller boat like mine, you'll be climbing the wall, literally. The docks are kinda high (water is low), but that's the case everywhere these days. Although some locals til us that next year (2013) they were planning to add 14 figure floating docks, so that'll be even better, for the smaller vessels. If that's the case, I'd have to give it 6 stars!

It is…read morestill a relatively small and intimate marina (less than 100 slips), but the staff is friendly and the place is immaculate. When I say changed though, I mean they still have the same great service and location, but the set up of the marina has changed in that it no longer has the peninsula with the tree at the end, instead it has been dredged and reconfigured & modernized. very nice. Not only that but it is convenient to everything in this very small (one horse) village. One note though, the marina offers Air2Access Wifi, which is uber expensive, and ungodly SLOW. DON'T PAY FOR IT! You can get FREE high speed Wifi from the Leelanau township public library not even 50 yards up the street (on the right, next to the post office), where the signal is 4 bars from the street or even the park next door. There is also a Tom's Grocery store 100 yards up the hill (on the left). Great little marina! Can't recommend it enough. 5 stars!

Katie is great to work with. 20'-23' high-performance boats available to rent are Axis, Malibu, or Cobalt ski boats or Tritoon pontoon boats. The boats are well-cared for and new. They provide skis and floats and train you as well. They can rent boats to you for Walloon Lake or maybe they'll deliver it to another lake for you. We have rented boats from other companies in the area and now only use Tommy's. They also have a super cool restaurant (must go!) and store.

Tim provided me with 3 kayak's with all needed accessories and threw in two paddle boards for me to try. Kayak's were perfect and the paddle board, while unsuccessful, was great to try! They delivered and picked up so I didn't have that hassle with my short vacation. I will be renting again next time I am in Petoskey/Harbor Springs area - thanks!
