Looking at tours and not wanting to smell horse crap for an hour on a Carriage Tour, the Pub tour sounded like the best option. Bought the tickets two hours before the tour on my laptop and away we went. Met at Tommy Condon's and enjoyed some nice Irish Nachos and a Black & Tan while listening to the most awesome tour guide! Dan has more historical knowledge about South Carolina and Charleston that most anyone I know, he should be on Jeopardy! We had a small group max of 6 due to COVID and the other two couples from Athens GA were a delight to pair up with. The pubs were great as well as the conversation. I would like to come back and take the kids because of the history lesson as well as the tales of the pirates! #BlackBeard #5Stars #WorthEveryPenny #DontDoAnyOtherTourButThisOne

It felt cozy without being stuffy and was a great spot for people-watching. The cocktails were well made and balanced, and we got lucky enough to snag a table. Definitely a great spot for a nightcap if you're in the area.

The second floor has a nice sized dance floor, DJ, stripper pole (yes, a stripper pole), and another large bar. Both floors have bathrooms. There is an outside area too for the smokers, I can't comment on that area as I've never really been out there. Trio isn't always booming with people. I've been there some nights when there wasn't a lot of people and other nights when there was a line out of the door and the building was packed. I have no idea how to predict how many people will be there. I usually find my way upstairs, as I like to dance and the DJs are always great. 9 times out of 10 you will see some bachelorette party sitting in the little area with the stripper pole...so ladies, if you want to go here for your bachelorette party, assign one of your maids to stake out the pole for you (oh and bring some Clorox wipes...who knows who's spun around that thing). If you want to go out with a group of people and have a loud, fun time dancing the night away...this is the place for you. If you want a more sophisticated evening out, try another place.

This was our first visit and excited to come back! The building is attached to Kings BBQ for delicious before show bites. We went for their "Golden Hour" and loved every moment. Glad we got there early because the parking lot does fill up quickly. There is additional parking around the venue, if it's full when you arrive. The entrance leads directly into a large bar area, with seating along the whole counter. Basically this area is half of the building so is surprisingly large. They offer craft cocktails, local beers, and wine by the glass. The second half of the building is the stage and seating. Personal space is a premium here as every spot is used for the audience. We saw 3 two seaters tables along the back wall as welk as a few tables in the front row directly at the edge of the stage. Both areas are considered "upgraded" seating/tickets. Use that info when buying tickets. The rest of the seats (at least for our show) are open seating. My suggestion is not to wait too long to find seating once the doors open. Not that there is a bad seat, but I do like to have choices. We had two openers and the main headliner for our show. Everything ran smoothly, with good volume and pacing. They then had a merch area set up after the show, back in the lounge/bar area. This got a little extra cosy but everyone was respectful. We would 100% come back for another show!

I'm beyond glad this option was available because I don't believe we would have had a good time had we just participated in a public setting trying to karaoke. What I will say is that $100 per hour to reserve this space is a joke. We booked this private area for $200. We were enclosed in by a curtain and had to compete with the music and noise from the bar and others singing karaoke. We were literally placed in a 4x4 space (a bit exaggerated, but not big AT ALL). The space contained 1 tv screen, a computer, 1 microphone, 4-5 broken bar stools, an inflatable guitar, an exit door, another door to storage space, and the smell of old spilt liquor and urine. Not the most pleasant setup to pay $200 for. BUT we made the most of it considering the amount had already been paid. We were interrupted multiple times by employees fetching things from the storage closet and random guests who wanted to peek through the curtains to see what was on the other side. I believe my expectations were high based off prior experiences of booking private karaoke rooms at other establishments and assuming this would meet the standards.

The space is so nice and big and open. When I walked in, I was greeted warmly, and had a lovely chit chat with the bouncer. She checked my ID, I got my wrist band, and went right in. I stopped at the bar to of course grab a drink before the show. I didn't know what to order as all the drinks looked delicious so the bartender (whom was very nice as well) suggested the Pink 75. It was amazing and definitely packed a punch! I sipped on it for awhile, and made the wise decision to not get a second drink as I was tired from the drive down. The bands I saw there were - Archers, The Rasmus, and The Funeral Portrait. The venue was a great place to listen to some rock music.
