This was a horrible experience from the moment we arrived in the parking lot. (if that's what you want to call it) I had to park across the street at the gas station hoping I didn't get towed. With complete disregard for others time, the doctor strolls (and I mean taking his sweet time even pausing to watch the TV in the lobby for a few minutes) into the office door 2 HOURS after the actual appointment time....resulting in not being called back into a clinic room until close to now 3 hours past our appointment time.
Oh but it gets better! Now I'm a huge animal lover - HOWEVER - a doctors office is not place for your sweet little doggies to come and have free range. Cute and sweet, yes, unsanitary for a clinic environment...YES!!! This is NOT OK! How selfish and ignorant of someone to assume everyone likes animals as much as yourself, not be allergic, and so many other reasons that plain common sense should be able to explain.
Next...every clinic room door is left open during each consultation with the doctor. So luckily I was able to hear all about Mr. Joe's infection 3 doors down, how many time he was previous admitted, etc. Then poor Mrs. Sally in the room next door...oh poor Mrs. Sally. I wanted to go give her a hug before she left. The lack of regard for patient privacy and medical professionalism runs rampant through the office.
The office staff were all courteous and as professional as they could be for the most part I guess...except for (not medically necessary to the visit at hand) personal questions during the check-up. While also leaving the door wide open during an EKG where you have to completely lift up your shirt. HELLOOO a little privacy please!
Lastly. This doctor is just plain ignorant, arrogant and rude. Making comments in regards to the catholic church and the priests raping boys. How do you know if I am catholic or not. You may have very well highly offended my religious beliefs, however no regard was made for that because he cracks himself up. He continually made "funny" comments, sprinkled with a few colorful words throughout. There is a time and place for this behavior sir, politics and religion is NOT an appropriate topic in a clinic room, and it is NOT with someone you just met.
Unprofessional. Rude. Arrogant.
