Oh Gosh. Where to start ? I will simply offer the "highlights" of our visit. Although grateful to…read moreget in to see this doctor on the same day we called, we later learned that because he had NO patients scheduled for the afternoon, he had accepted two new patients. We arrived 30 minutes prior to our 2pm appointment in order to complete paperwork, which we did. At 2pm a man wearing dirty bluejeans, a Cancun T-shirt and a stethoscope around his neck, opened the door to the waiting area and asked us to step in. Our patient was weighed and eventually, his blood pressure and blood oxygen level was taken by this man. He sat with us in the exam room and began to talk and talk and talk about random things. ie: he reads the news to find the "good" news; a terrorist attack can't be stopped; the economy is going to be negatively affected when Amazon and Fed-Ex start transporting goods electronically driven trucks...yada yada yada. As I sat there, I glanced at the countertop beside me where sat a jar of "sterile" gauze pads with no lid. Then I noticed a pillow on the exam table and interrupted him to ask if they had paper pillowcases for it. He said yes, if needed, they would put one on and said I have them right here...indicating down on the floor on the other side of the exam table. Finally, I asked "what is your name?". He spoke his first name, but offered no credentials. He did say that he sits with patients and entertains them until the Doctor is ready to see them. All this is not the worst. The worst is that this man smelled bad ! Not the kind of smell you might have if you'd had to step outside in the heat to get something out of the car, but the smell that's present from no bath for 3 or 4 days. Oh and his hair was greasy dirty and he kept running his fingers through it. From the exam room next to ours, I could hear the Doctor and other new patient talking to one another, because the door was wide open. What kind of confidentiality is that and why did I just sign all those Hippa papers ?? Worse, I heard no exchange of medical dialog such as what's wrong and here's what I can do to help you. No ! What I heard was the Doctor talking about the political condition of our country and the patient talking about a dog that thought he was human. When it was one hour past our appointment time with no word from the doctor, my patience ran out and the alarm bells were ringing loudly in my mind, I told our patient that we were leaving. The man was nowhere in sight, neither was the receptionist, and we walked past the open door of the room with the Doctor and other new patient. No one said a word and no one called me. I immediately called our insurance company to let them know of our experience with this doctor that was on their approved physicians list. They were glad I called them.

I've been visiting Forney Wellness Medical since it opened, and since 2014, I've been receiving…read morehormone pellets, thyroid management, and occasional nutritional coaching. I appreciate the fact that Dr. Rice listens to his patients concerns and actually goes into detail when asked questions. Every body is unique and what works for one person does not necessarily work for another. Sometimes it can take time to figure out what does work. Dr. Rice (and the entire staff) takes the time to investigate without rushing, and strives to bring the patient back to health.

This review is long overdue. I NEARLY DIED FROM A BIOTE TESTOSTERONE PELLET!!!…read more I went to see Dr Cory Rice at his Forney location for my initial visit on 2/16/22. Dr Rice is the Chief Clinical Advisor for BioTE Medical, something that he did not disclose to me. During my follow-up appointment on 3/3/22 to go over the test results from Quest Diagnostics, Dr Rice claimed that my Testosterone was too low (I realized afterward that he lied...it was 32, which is within normal range). Dr Rice insisted that I get a Biote Testosterone pellet, stating that it would fix my specific health concerns at the time. I trusted him and he inserted a Biote Testosterone pellet in my right buttock during my visit. Approx. a week later I suddenly felt like I was dying...my heart was racing rapidly, I had the worst insomnia and many other horrendous symptoms. My husband took me to Quest Diagnostics to get my Testosterone level rechecked. It came back at 432, which is EXTREMELY HIGH/ LETHAL especially for a petite woman like myself!!! I never should have gotten the pellet since I never needed it. In addition, the Biote pellet malfunctioned badly, skyrocketing my Testosterone level. After the injury, I went to a slew of Doctors to get the Testosterone level lowered, and took several prescription medications but nothing helped. I suffered for several months, clinging on to dear life. It is ONLY because of my Lord Jesus that I am blessed to be alive today. The pellet also forced my body into early MENOPAUSE. I am writing this to WARN others. No one should have to go through what I went through. Please stay away for your own safety and instead go to a place that operates with integrity. There are several doctors' offices that do hormone therapy WITHOUT pellets that are safer and very effective. I also found that there are others who have suffered injuries specifically from the BIOTE pellets. Here is just one link, below.. https://www.reddit.com/r/Menopause/comments/fqo768/biote_pellet_insertion_severe_reaction/ I hope a major law firm sees all of this and puts together a class action lawsuit against BioTE as well as Dr Rice for all the harm they have done to so many people.
