This is the kind of place I've been looking for. It's hard to find a charbroiled burger spot in town and although this one is about 25 minutes from me, it's worth the drive. Very nice family running the place and the food was fresh and good. Burger was great and salsa was too! Seriously, really good salsa, the kind I like. Wish I knew how they made it, so I can copy it. Wow! What a difference a few months have made at this mom and pop burger joint. My family have been patrons for years. Always enjoyed patronizing their establishment. The prices were fair and the quality was reasonable. Just visited and made a large to-go order for family. What a car crash... the food was inedible and I say this without exaggeration. It went into the trash bin. Fries, onion rings, zucchini's were hard as rocks. The burgers were dry as dirt, the buns were stale and ingredients were awful. I called to tell the mom, (owner) what our experience was like, and prefaced the call by advising we wanted nothing from this call other than for them to be aware of our experience, and she replied that she is not the owner any longer and blamed the entire mess on the new owner. Honestly, I don't know that a word of that is true, but oh well. She did not care a less and they are checked-out!! The ship at this location has sailed!!! Move on!! Sad read more

So, a little back story. I enjoy heading over to Starbucks and occasionally eat their breakfast burrito with my dark roast coffee. Well naturally one day I go and they are out of their burritos. The gal at the register was trying to tell me to get a "real" burrito by signaling with her head and eyes like over there...so, I was looking at her like where's over there? Long and short she never actually told me where over there was but after driving around in the parking lot I finally realized she meant at the very end of the parking lot where no one goes . So, basically Char-Broiler has a following for their Breakfast Burritos. Who knew. Well now you're in the know. This place has some of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Seriously, you need to try it! Also, be sure to get an extra side of their salsa. You can watch how much they stuff their burritos with golden hash browns, scrambled eggs and cheeses. I've only had it with their bacon so my review is limited to that version. Basically you cannot go wrong with this burrito. Pro tip. Order by phone and pick it up. Took my very picky 5 year old for breakfast this morning! I ordered a breakfast burrito add salsa and he ordered pancakes (3 all of which were bigger then his head). The burrito was $7.55 and was as long as my fork it also required two hands to hold. And my son's pancakes were $5.05. Prices were excellent for the amount of food! I brought home half the burrito and my son brought home 2 1/2 pancakes. The staff is so nice and friendly. The food is fresh and delicious. It was clean and was a great atmosphere. The best and freshest burgers in town. Everything here is made to order. You smell the fresh burgers cooking when you walk in. I've been going her for years and have never had a bad meal or service. While they're known mostly for their lunch items, the breakfast burritos are the best I've had anywhere and big enough to share. I've pretty much have had all of their burgers and can't recommend one over the other. The corn dog, gyro and Philly cheese steak sandwiches are delicious too. Their fries are thin cut and so are the zucchini sticks. Come hungry and you won't be disappointed. It gets very crowded during lunch but they're fast with the orders. Awesome little hole in the wall in Moorpark. I went to Moorpark College for years and had no idea this place was here. A buddy of mine recommended this place so we decided to give it a try. Ambiance is very old school and service is traditional. The Philly Cheese Steak was as big as my forearm. I ate half of it with some fries and ice tea and I was stuffed. Good for me because I love leftovers and making it a double meal. Definitely will be back to try out the burgers. I highly recommend this place. read more
