I live relatively close, so it just made sense to try it out a few times. The service was excellent, how-f***ing-ever, I've made 100% sure I didn't go on days/nights this place was slammed because I'm way too old for bar fights caused by people with poor emotional regulation. The bartenders at these quieter times were on point - quick & responsive - one even decided to go braless with a see-through shirt for the old grey hair dudes at the bar on a relatively quiet night. Very classy & thoughtful. The ambience is that of a barn. Legit. This place is so run down that if it was a car, cops wouldn't even want to pull it over. It's definitely one of those places you go to get insufferably drunk and wake up in the morning with some new bugs living in/on your crotch, maybe even a big one in your bed - but that's half the fun(?) if you're into that sorta thing. I'm not, but to each their own. On the off chance I go back, I'm wearing a full body MOP suit so I can leave almost as clean as I came in. Honestly - it's filthy, but I do recommend it for pool, food & drinks.

We tried the sweet thai chili wings, Buxton Mac Tacos (same ingredients as a Big Mac) and the raspberry cheesecake chimis. We ordered at the bar and were given a buzzer. It took an exceptionally long time to get the food. When I went up to order a refill on by drink, the bartender said "Your food has been done". My buzzer never went off. We determined it had malfunctioned. I get that they are super busy back there, but for the amount of time that had passed, I would have expected someone to at least holler over to let us know we should come get our food, rather than let it sit there and get cold. Keeping in mind that it had been sitting for a while, it wasn't bad. The wing sauce didn't really stick to the meat, rather just puddled up in the basket, but if you rolled them around in the sauce, the flavor itself was good. The tacos were bigger and more filling than I ever thought they'd be. I'd get those again. The star of the show were the deep friend raspberry cheesecake chimis. SO GOOD! I've actually craved them to a point where I may go back to the bar just to eat those! LOL Other than the buzzer issue, we had a great time at Skip's that night. There was a band playing and still no cover charge was paid at the door. We had a fun night of food, drinks, and dancing. I'd definitely return.

Drinks- A+ We have worked in the service industry. We have bartended. We are, how do I say it, drink snobs. We often get our regular drinks but they offer weekly drink specials and different flavors of pudding shots that are amazing. Ambiance- A+ it's a smaller establishment and in the winter we are all packed inside. If you're looking for a quiet restaurant with jazz playing lightly in the background and candles flickering, it's probably not for you. This is your local stop for food, drinks, conversation and fun. Once the weather warms a bit and the patio opens it's where you will find us. Staff- is there an A+++ in the rankings? We love the staff. They're fun, friendly, accommodating and kind. From the servers to the bartender to the cooks and everyone in between, we love them all. Owners- A+ the Severino family is amazing. We adore each and every one of them. I've seen negative remarks and it's really sad that people will take to a business page to leave a negative review because of a difference of opinion that has nothing to do with the establishment or the food. When you walk in you're always greeted by one of the family and made to feel welcome. They give back to the community. They've provided food and hot coffee to first responders. They support the locals and their loyal customers. And they're HUMAN. Are they perfect? No, but guess what? Neither are we. They're always busting ass and trying their best to give everyone a great experience. So if you haven't tried Sportman's Kitchen and Keg in Sebago, add it to your list and get there. Your belly will thank you!

Plenty of parking. Directly across from Sebago Lake in Maine. There is an outside bar that is open seasonally. This is a family owned bar with cottages on sight to rent. There is an outside fire pit with adaronack chairs. Great food! Great service! Nice place to meet people from all over. My honey and I had pork dumplings (6) to share. They were spicy and delicious with a sweet sauce on the side. We also split large fries that were not only amazing to look at but amazingly delicious. Bathrooms are upstairs and there isn't an elevator so I wouldn't say that it's handicap friendly unfortunately. I highly recommend.

Famous for Allagash white and in my opinion so many other great beers. Can never go wrong with ordering one if it is on a Taplist. Located in Scarborough compared to the original being in Portland. The original feels more industrial which I do love the original but this has a rustic and homey feel in a bright and inviting space with a large outdoor patio (dog-friendly as well). The outside of the building does resemble an office building from afar when driving up. Allagash has also evolved with the times and off far more than White and other beers, with house made wines, ciders, NA options (hop water, NA cocktails, etc), and even draft cocktails. Everyone in your party will find a beverage of choice to enjoy with each other's company. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and in a great mood since it was opening day, a celebration of finally teaching opening day! Even had a conversation with owner/founder Rob Tod who I feel is a legend in the craft beer industry. My wife enjoyed their blueberry ale which tasted so more real than many artificial tasting blueberry beers. I enjoyed their floating holiday, blonde ale with lemon peel and sea salt, great summer brew! Lastly, it would not be an Allagash Brewing location without Bite Into Maine. Something that has been alongside their Industrial way brewery so long is that silver trailer food truck. This location is different with no trailer but Bite Into Maine is still inside serving up your favorite lobster rolls, other lobster meals, smash burgers, and more to come. I was happy to see a crowded full house for opening day for this new location for Allagash Brewing. A local business that gives back in so many ways to the community and they have built yet another meeting spot for a new place in Maine. If you are a fan of Allagash or not I think you should visit this space!

This morning, my wife and I finally planned to go check out their space for the first time. What more could you truly ask for than a cafe/coffee shop meets bookstore meets beer bar! My wife is more of an avid reader than I am so she enjoyed the book aspect more. They have a large menu of offerings drink wise with everything you'd expect from a coffee shop. I do wish they did a rotating seasonal special drink menu, as places usually have one or more great sounding drinks on those. Both my wife and I settled on an iced blueberry latte. Overall it had hints of blueberry and tasted more like milk than anything. Would not be rushing back for it specifically that's for sure. Food wise they have some in-house baked goods as well as bagels from Rose Foods and corssiants from Little Spruce Baking. My wife got a plain bagel with cream cheese while I grabbed a chocolate croissant. I did mess up by not requesting it be warmed up but it was still delicious! Will be finding more spots that have goodies from Little Spruce. The bagel was also tasty. Book wise my wife enjoyed browsing but did not find any books she needed to grab. She did enjoy reading a couple chapters of her current book while we sat by the large windows (good spot for world watching outside). We enjoyed our visit but have other spots we would be happier to visit again.

Our first time going to brunch at The Blue Pig was a great experience…read more I assumed they would have a wait at noon on a Sunday. I called ahead to see if they would put us on the wait list over the phone. They would not. We arrived, and it was a cold day, and luckily they have space inside, with some benches and chairs, to sit while you wait. There is no host taking names. It is seat yourself in the honor system...meaning...you must pay attention to what party arrived before you, and then watch for open tables or bar stools, and seat yourself at the appropriate time without cutting other parties who were there before yours. Since this is a bit uncommon, I can see how this might cause some anxiety for people...I was thinking...will others cut in front of my party? We were a party if 3 and 3 bar stools opened up so we decide to sit at the bar. The whole restaurant definitely has a "bar/tavern" kind of ambiance to it. It does not feel like a "diner". It has a great vibe...very relaxed, neighborhood kind of a feel. The menu includes both breakfast items and lunch items...which was perfect for our party. The menu has several classic southern dishes like country fried steak with sausage gravy, chicken and pork waffles with a choice of maple syrups, and biscuits and gravy. The menu also has traditional breakfast items like egg sandwiches, and other such items. The menu includes classic brunch cocktails, a selection of beers, and several mocktails. I tried the chicken and waffles with the hot maple syrup. It was perfect. The fried chicken was crisp and in smaller size pieces which I liked. The waffles were crisp on the outside and soft on the insides, and the best part was the syrup...it was spicy and sweet and perfect! My friend tried the country fried steak with sausage gravy and biscuits. It was delicious! It was classic in every way...white gravy, but tender steak, nice biscuits. My other friend tried the steak tip sandwich. The blue pig sauce on it was delicious (very savory), and the peppers and onions were chopped into small pieces...but the steak tips were not cut up...which made it difficult to bite through the steak tips. I would have cut up the steak tips and put them back into the sandwich...but it wasn't my sandwich. The sandwich came with spiced curly fries. The fries were VERY good. The service was friendly and fast. We will definitely go back.
