The vegetables were good! My sirloin....the steak itself was good despite being a tad overcooked for medium rare. Something on the plate had a curry flavor - it just didn't all go together well. Then the lemon ricotta cheesecake....we didn't taste any lemon, it was thick and weirdly dry for a cheesecake. It also had freeze dried something on top....we actually weren't sure what. Some bright spots - the food quality! You can tell that these are top notch high quality ingredients, and the cocktails! They were yummy! I just don't like the weird combos and what (to me) feels like being weird for the sake of being different versus just being good. I think it should be elevated to the appetizer section! The waitress described it perfectly...it is a Parisian street food, and it is sort of like a falafel in shape, and it is fried like a falafel, but it is made of slightly spiced smooth chickpeas, so it is not course like falafel. It is served with a harrissa sauce on the side. It came with 3 puck size pieces. The flavor, the texture and the sauce all went perfectly together. So good! We also had the smoked fish pate which came with house made giant potato chips. The fish was trout, and apparently this changes based on the day. It was also fantastic! As my meal, I got the steak tartare and although technically I think it's in the appetizer section, the portion size is more like a meal. It is as absolutely perfect. Dressed with a slightly sharp dressing with capers and an egg yolk, and on the side the same house giant potato chips. It is fantastic. I've had the steak tartare here before...it see it as a special treat. First because there aren't many restaurants that serve it, and second because it isn't something I would make for myself at home. I highly recommend! Check out the pictures of it. If you've never had it before, this one is served French style where the steak is chopped up into tiny pieces. Another favorite was the sparking lavender lemonade which is very refreshing, slightly sweet, and flavorful with lavender scent and taste.

The Brussel sprouts were good but the lardons were hard as a rock (clearly they cook things too long here). The salmon was good but portions seemed small. The soup was fine. The steak was supposed to come medium rare, but as you can see, it was closer to medium well (for $48 that is upsetting and embarrassing they couldn't cook a steak properly). Thank goodness they took it off our bill (for that we are grateful), but clearly the kitchen needs some assistance because it ruins the experience when everyone is waiting to eat because one dish is done wrong. We understood it would be a limited holiday brunch menu instead of the regular dinner menu, which was fine. However, by the time we sat down to order, almost all of the options were already sold out. The space is lovely and it's a nice spot for a regular dinner, but they were definitely not equipped for the holiday rush. Don't go for Mother's Day.
