Dr. Brown is warm, friendly, kind, genuine, and immediately puts kids at ease. He is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and prefers to discuss pros and cons rather than just telling you what to do. He's also very responsive over email and has given us lots of prompt and helpful advice that way. Dr. Brown clearly makes an effort to keep up to date on the latest research (for example, he briefed us on recent conflicting studies on whether early introduction of solid foods increases or decreases food allergies in children). He's open-minded and not dogmatic: he supported our decision to have our second baby at home and to forego circumcision, even though these are unconventional decisions. At the same, when the evidence really does support a specific course of action (such following standard vaccination schedules), Dr. Brown doesn't hesitate to say so emphatically. Most importantly, Dr. Brown obviously really cares about his patients. I always look forward to taking my kids to see him - I am glad they have him as such a positive role model in their lives!

He has truly found his calling and we were so lucky to find him! We actually moved away from Sunnyvale a while ago but kept going to see him despite it being quite an arduous trip as he was that good. It's with a heavy heart that we recently found a new pediatrician - we will miss Dr. Huan very much. My only complaint (not with Dr.Huan himself) is with the PAMF telephone system. Be warned - it is fully automated and unless you say exactly the right thing you'll struggle to get through to who you want! It's worth putting up with to get set up with Dr. Huan and once you're in the system he is very responsive on online messages allowing you to bypass the PAMF telephone system if needed . I'm not sure if Dr. Huan himself ever sees these reviews but if you are reading this Dr. Huan thank you so much for everything you have done for our family.
