RIP OFF!!!! I was charged $200.00 for four dresses and two blouses. That's $40.00 per dress and $20.00 for each blouse. These were simple alterations. Nothing my mother couldn't have done if she wasn't injured. The blouses are now too short, and only two dresses fit. When I went back to her shop to get my two dresses fixed (the damage she did to my blouses can't be repaired), I caught her smoking in the back doorway of her shop with the door open, so everything smells like an ashtray. When I first got my clothing home, I thought they smelled like smoke, but I figured she and/or her husband smoked at home and that was why my clothing smelled. If you or anyone you are around has health issues, stay away from this place. Besides being overpriced, her work is poor, took over three weeks to complete, and as soon as you have a problem with something not fitting correctly, she becomes extremely combative. When I went to her shop to try to have the dresses, I paid $40 dollars for fixed, she was so nasty that I left immediately because I didn't want to say anything mean or hurtful. I feel so taken advantage of. She knew I was a Catholic school teacher and that I don't have much money and she still took advantage of me. I feel sorry for her husband. He seemed like a very kind man. Oh, she stole my hangers. It's also worth mentioning that when I told her how upset I was and that I would be leaving her a scathing review, she laughed and said thank you. If I could leave a zero, I would. read more

We have been weekly customers of Chamys for more than one year. After a botched alteration. (Even the begrudgingly done redo was unusable and I threw it away - $30 item and $50 in alterations) and now a ruined brand new $180 silk shirt from dry cleaning that they outsource to Family Cleaners we will not be returning. I understand things happen but the shocking response from Chamys was that I had to take it up with their subcontractor - they refused to take responsibility. They did have it recleaned (by the same cleaner and initially tried to charge me for the redo) and it was better, but still ruined. I was Chamy's customer and paid them, they should have taken responsibility for the work of their subcontractor. read more
