There was only one car on the lot, and it didn't look like the lights were on. Another vehicle showed up and went to the door. Lo and behold they were open. We followed suite and went inside. The young man at the counter didn't greet us. So we opted to use the self service kiosk. We already browsed the menu ahead of time to make everything easy. We both ordered the chicken Sandwich combo, which comes with 1 side and a breadstick. You can choose what flavor you want, so i opted to get the Nashville hot (Spicy). We waited about 10 minutes before we got our food, i checked my bag to ensure everything was correct and headed home. The food was still piping hot once we got home. The Sandwich was juicy, and tender. Seasoned well, and not overly spicy. The fries were crispy, but yet still soft in the middle. They were little spiral cut fries. The breadstick was soft, and fluffy and the Parmesan drizzle on top added extra flavor. The Nashville street corn was delicious. The Parmesan drizzle was a great added touch. I would add a little salt to add some flavor/seasoning and some shredded Parmesan for extra texture. There are two small tables inside for those who want to dine in. There are also a few slot machines for those who like to play slots. It's painted black so it makes the place feel small and dark. Plenty of parking outside. Definitely worth giving them a try.

Five stars for nostalgia! Horray!…read more I used to come here in high school when Jack-In-The-Box got a little old. The food was just OK, but the rootbeer was amazing! I even have a t-shirt! Thanks Nichole! On a side note, nobody knows what in the world a "Silver Fros" is. It's a mystery I've been wanting to solve for fifteen years.

The not so good: the burger left a lot to be desired, the meat was pretty tasteless. Our wait was about 45 minutes, we were missing an item from our order, no napkins, no public restrooms. I'd stop for a malt & maybe a fried cauliflower snack again in the future but for a full meal I'll skip it.

You can enjoy a traditional chicken dinner, tenders, a sandwich or an order of wings. They also offer, chicken and waffle and you can also have gizzards and livers. The sides are true Southern sides. My first visit, I enjoyed a two piece all-white meal with a side of fries. The chicken was super crispy and the meat under the crunchy skin was juicy. Best of all, it was not greasy. The seasoning in the breading was simple, but full of flavor. I loved the fries, they were seasoned with salt and pepper. The blend of S&P was so good, I didn't need ketchup. KKC is one of those restaurants that you order at the counter and if you dine-in, they'll bring your food to you. The dining room is small and simple, it's just table and chairs. Only decor is their logo painted on one of the walls. In addition to the delicious food, the staff is professional and friendly. As a side note, Kaden's Kickin Chicken is owned by a female. So you're not only supporting a local business, you're supporting one owned by a woman, too.

Not what it used to be. It use to be, really good BBQ. My recent visit ordering a Two Meat Plate…read morewith Two Sides was a total disappointment. It was so disappointing, that I didn't even eat it all. I threw half of it away and I rarely waste food. My Two Plate was a Pork Steak and Brisket, with Smokehouse Beans and Spicy Cheese Corn. The Pork Steak was good, but the Brisket was dried and tough. The Smokehouse Beans have disappointed me before, but I wanted to give them another chance. Again, they were to runny and had not enough seasoning to give them pizzaz. Their Spicy Cheese Corn was just okay, it was cheesy, but did no live up to the "Spicy" name. What was most disappointing was the customer service. The young lady taking my order was friendly and professional, so she gets a thumbs up. The disappointment came when I was presented my order at the counter. As I waited for my for to be prepared I took a stool at the counter, just down from the register. When it was ready, the owner brought it out and dropped the bag in front of me and turned to walk away. No thank-you, no nothing. I had to speak first, to get response and it was just faint grunt. It is a sad day when a business owner cannot thank a customer for supporting his business.

The service is exactly what you'd expect from a local mom & pop type business. It is personable and just downright friendly. It's also a black owned business. They also have daily specials to augment their regular menu or to offer a lower price on thier regular fare The service is usually good but there is a turnover in staff mainly because waitressing is not considered as a full time job for most people But it is not crowded so two waitresses can usually handle the amount of people there. The ambience is basically a friendly neighborhood cafe with mainly middle aged and older people there in the morning for breakfast and business people for lunch. with familes and older couples for dinner The owners are wonderful people who have raised their childen here in Gillespie from grade school through to college. The kids could sometimes be seen working there and were popular and well liked in the community. I give it a four star only because the turnover of cooks sometimes makes for inconsistency on some items. Breakfast and lunch are your best bets though.
