I used to live local to these guys, always had good experiences. Been living around 25 miles away, so I 've gone to local tire places, and had bad experiences at all of them. The other day I got a cut in the sidewall of one of my tires, and I was dreading going to one of the local shops. I got a quote on two tires from Champion with very competitive pricing, so I decided to go with them. It was well worth the longer drive. With no appointment, I was able to stop by on Saturday morning, get in and out in just forty minutes. So, the moral of the story is, for great tire service, take a ride out to Ringoes! read more

In a word ,awful!. I bought Michelin v rated tires here that have a little over 13,000 miles on them. Yesterday i noticed a bubble on the sidewall so I called champion. The guy I spoke to a guy who was rude, unfriendly and not helpful. He INSISTED that I hit a pot hole and kept repeating that they aren't covered by road hazard. I tried to explain to him that , in fact , I had not hit a pot hole. He wanted to sell me a replacement for $168.00. When i spoke to a local Michelin dealer in my area , he said that Michelin SETS the price for THAT tire for less than $142. So they were overcharging me $26 from Michelins SRP. A close relative of mine who is an Executive for over 40 years for the largest car dealer in that area asked me ,when i told him the story, if i had bought them from champion. I have been using Champion Tire on several occasions without incident. However, I went there this past week for a front-end alignment. My appointment was schedule for 10 am. After waiting for an hour & 40 minutes, their so-called mechanic came out & told me that they could not do the alignment until I did OVER $800.00 of rear work on the vehicle, which supposedly had an effect on the alignment. Derek said he "heated up the area" & that he could not do the alignment without that work being done. When I drove my vehicle to their facility it was totally FINE - NO DRIVING ISSUES WHATSOEVER! I pulled away from Champion and within several blocks had to stop & call the because my vehicle was dangerously swaying all of the road. I could not drive any more than 30 miles an hour because of the severe swaying. I called them immediately & of course, they denied having caused the problem. THEY ABSOLUTELY DID. MY VEHICLE DID NOT, REPEAT, DID NOT SWAY OR DO THAT WHEN IT WAS TAKEN TO THEM FOR AN ALIGNMENT, WHICH THEY DID NOT DO! I slowly took it to a shop to have it looked & as the mechanic put it up on a lift could see that the HEAT Derek applied melted gaskets & the one rear wheel was so loose it practically fell off in the mechanic's hand. He was furious & could not believe that they would allow me to drive it off their premises in that condition & even totally deny that they caused it. THEY DID & PUT ME & OTHERS IN DANGER TRYING TO GET AN EXTREMELY SWAYING VEHICLE TO SAFETY!! NICE GOING!! WILL NEVER TRUST THEM & GO BACK THERE FOR ANY SERVICE AGAIN! WON'T TRUST LIARS & THOSE WHO DON'T OWN UP TO THEIR MISTAKES! read more

Super pleased with Champion Tire. I just came from there to get wheels removed from rims (super low profile which are pretty difficult / borderline impossible to do and no local shop would even touch this 'project'). I called up Champion and they said they could do it no problem. No appointment was needed & the person I spoke with said to just come in. That's what I did & I was in and out within 45 minutes. Super pleased with not only the job but all aspects of this transaction. The guys even took the tires out of my car & bagged them up to take home so they wouldn't dirty my car. Champion tire is great and all the employees are so helpful. After the dealership telling me i had a hole in my tire and would need a new one they estimated the price around $350. After calling around a couple places i found champion tire and contacted them. Mark was so helpful and kind to me over the phone. He helped me figure out what tire i needed and managed to get it down to less than half the price that the dealer quoted me. I was able to stop in the following day and the replaced the tire within 20 minutes. All the employees were great! read more

Worst care care experience ever! After my new tires were put on I noticed that my rims were all scratched up. The technicians are careless and do not care about your car. My car was brand new with less than 5000 miles on it and they treated it like garbage. Never go here. read more

I ordered tires and rims online and had them installed by the folks at Champion. Not a big job of course, although they had to transfer the TPMS units from my old tire. The charge was very reasonable. Service was friendly and efficient. Waiting room is pleasant enough. I got a very good vibe from this place for future reference. Update: I've been back a couple of times. The tires they mounted for me from Tire Rack were poorly balanced, so I took them to Champion to rebalance and they did a great job. Later, one of the tires suffered road damage, and I bought a replacement from them. The price was substantially higher than Tire Rack, but for the convenience, I'll accept that. They also vouched for the damage for my warranty claim, which they did not have to do given that I did not actually buy the damaged tire from them. I just hope my tire problems are over with for a while and that I won't see these guys again for a long time! read more

Best place for getting your tires aligned or balanced. Twice I have bought custom rims, and then gone to a place closer to where I live only for them to do a poor job, and twice I had to then go to Champion to get it fixed. Champion was cheaper as well. If I ever do it again I'll be going to Champion first even though it's 55 miles away! read more

We have gone to champion tire several times over the last 10 years. They are always helpful, polite, and honest. The last time I went there, they had ordered some parts for an alignment repair. Once my car was on the rack, they were able to fix the problem with out needing to use the new parts. They saved me money and I appreciate their honesty. Let me start by saying Champion is the area's far most experianced experts on tires, tire related issues, driveability issues, Alignments !! I went to American tire ,Mavis , and Goodyear in the past. American put new tires on my Honda.. i was lured by a sale- after the sale it was the worst experiance i ever had 4x I returned to have the tires rebalanced due to a shake only to have them say my car was the issue. Champion came to the rescue.. within 10 min they found my tires all out off balance.. i went there within minutes of leaving American.. frustrated and mad. Champion Rebalanced and everything was great ..smooth no shakes. Goodyear.. i went there 4x for leaky tire in my co van.. kept telling nothing was wrong.. having to put air in every 3 days in single digits temps is no fun. Went to champion - in minutes they found a pc of metal in the tire and fixed it... never leaked again. Mavis.. i brought 4 tires to be mounted and balanced.. put them on.. at higher speeds had bad vibration.. i went to champion hoping they could help with same tires.. AGAIN balance was all out.. they road force balanced the tires..and the vehicle was smooth as silk!! I will never go anywhere else but champion for tires, alignments, anything related to tires. I wasted so much time previously at other places. Champion has fixed/ redone what the other so called tire stores could not do. Their experiance and expertise is second to none. i have only dealt with them once but they set the bar so high, i doubt anyother tire shop could match their prices and servive, denise and her husband daryl are 2nd generation ( george opened biz ) and they carry on his level of quality customer service, plus they live onsite so they are never late to work, it's a bit off the beaten track but you should search them out, you'll be glad you did, they also do wholesale biz if you are a shop in need of tires. read more

I needed four new tires and planned on ordering them online from tirerack.com and having Champion Tire mount and balance them. I asked them of they would match the price on the tires, but they didnt carry the same brand and even if they did, they won't match the price of a "wholesaler". Instead they offered an equivicol tire in the same price range and an American made tire (Kelly Explorer 92s) for a few dollars more. Since the mounting price was less if I purchased the tires from them ($13.95ea vs $20ea) rather than online, and becauss I'd be save $54 on shipping I decided to go with Champion Tire. Another issue was that I was driving with a donut on and Champion could install them the very next Saturday morning instead of having to wait the whole weekend and another 1-2 business days for an online purchase to be delivered. In retrospect, I should have been more patient, researched a few more prices and waited for delivery. Champion Tire charged me $87/tire, $13.95ea to install, and after disposal for four tires, it cost $447. Regretfully, not 5 minutes after looking at the invoice I found the same tire on tirebuyer.com for $71ea. Tirebuyer.com also found me a local shop that would install them as well as quoted me the installation fee. Well, if I had gone to tirebuyer.com, I would have had my tires delivered in 1-3 business days and fully installed and balanced for $411 including all fees, shipping and tax. Normally I would have said, "buyer beware" and accepted my loss, but I feel as though I had been mislead by Champion Tire. Just like the big wal-mart style retailers, they had lored me in with a cheap tire at a cheap price making me believe the savings would be across the board, when in actuality that wasn't the case. If you're ever buying tires, ALWAYS buy them online, you can always find a cheaper price online. Never buy tires, or parts of you can help it, from a garage/service center. Having worked as "the parts guy" for a national electro-mechanical service company, I can tell you that repair "parts" are always where the customef gets fleeced by a minimum for 30% markup, but usually in the area of 50%-75%. Online dealers always deal in more volume, get better discounts themselves, and always pass along a portion of the discount to the customer unlike service centers who always chage MSRP. To conclude, Champion tire's service was quick and the installation fee was competitive, bit I'd never purchase tires from them ever again. read more
