George is a great mechanic and a good, honest man…read more I went to him a few months ago when my check engine light turned on and 2 codes for my transmission came up which was nerve-wracking and financially concerning for me. 70% of the other mechanics I called for quotes weren't comfortable working on a Subaru transmission and the other 30% were trying to rip me off. When I dropped my car off at George's shop, he said that the codes were no longer there (only showing up in the history) and that he drove the car around and checked everything just to be sure the car was safe and functioning well, but since he didn't find anything wrong with the car, he didn't charge me the diagnosis fee. He did recommend that I get new tires (it was about that time lol) and the price he charged me for quality tires and the installation were way more than fair. Fast forward to now, my car is still functioning perfectly. He told me back then that sometimes when it rains hard (which it was the night my light went on), sometimes wires getting wet can trigger the check engine light turning on and those codes coming up. I appreciated George's kindness and honesty, and I'm not sure that other mechanics would've treated me with the same respect and honesty. He's also very friendly and responsive. I HIGHLY recommend him if you're in the area and in need of a mechanic.

Kevin had an idea what the problem was right away, He could not be sure and luckily a lift opened up for him to check. My husband bought an SUV from Ringoes down the street. Since our mechanic was too far away to take…read moreit for a pre-purchase inspection, Ringoes recommended Precision. First, they quoted $100 for the inspection which was very high compared to all the other places we had gone. When he picked up the truck, he was charged $160. The only thing Precision found in the pricey "thorough" inspection was a slight noise in the struts. Upon taking it to our mechanic for a Pennsylvania inspection, he couldn't believe the amount of money that was charged for the inspection, and how much Precision missed in the inspection. He found broken motor mounts, soaked struts, cracked serpentine belt, among other things. Either Precision is in cahoots with Ringoes and purposely give good reports on their inspections of their used trucks or Precision is very incompetent.

This was my worst time dealing with Andy so far throughout the past 4 years I've spent almost…read more$4,000 in their shop on parts and labor most of it was Labor this time I needed a fuel line repaired or replaced and I got the whole kit from Amazon nylon fuel line which is the replacement and my beef is instead of running the whole line from the gas tank to the engine there's a high pressure line and a return line they both came in that kit I dropped the kit off the night before. We had discussed with the option of splicing the line and welding the plate to the frame where it is a little bit decayed on a crossmember which is notorious for Chevrolet pickup trucks it's not real bad doesn't need attention I disagree he said he did not have time to do that instead they just placed the line ran about an 8 to 10 in piece of nylon fuel line and left me with the steel lines still remaining and charged me 2 hours for that little repair I'm not very happy about this I feel I got ripped off the technician that did the work BS me when I asked him how did he figure it took 2 hours to do that little patch job.??? He told me he had some stuff laying in the shop that they used before I got the bill I told him to keep the rest of the kit I I should not have done that anyway I'm just very unhappy that they charged me 2 hours labor for a job that a professional technician which they are it did do a nice job he should have ran both lines up to the motor and back to the fuel tank and get away with the steel lines because they're only going to deteriorate by next year and if they think I'm going to come back to get robbed again I'm not about to and it's real hard to find a good mechanic a good shop that will take care of you I always paid and cash and took care of them I don't know what happened this time I'm just not very happy I feel I got ripped off because they never did well the plate in place and I guess that was the two hours that we were talking to fix the line and to weld the plate on there that I supplied the materials I don't know
